Eh, Super Mario pipes always looked like being made of plastic either way. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

You can also generate world from a spefic seed instead of downloading it. It takes a little bit to generate, but usually the seeds provided at various forums or at the wiki.
The water boulders is a bug? I thought it was supposed to be a feature. I even started building walls with them, who can melt. I just had a fortress on a glacier, and I noticed that if you did bring them down below the bedrock... there would be enough warmth to make them melt down there. I dunno, the games have gotten easier in some aspects. You only need to irrigate if you want to farm on stone. For newbies, I would recommend to focus on building a kitchen, still, fishery and a small farming. And probably a carpentry for producing a few beds, since dwarfs don't like sleeping on the floor. And a few doors built by the carpentry (or mason) to block rooms from wildlife doesn't hurt too. I'm thinking about if we could do a small succession game here or something too. Dunno what kind of setup we should go for though. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Hehe, Aquaifers. As soon I actually heard about them, I couldn't resist and actually went for a map with Aquaifers on purpose. Now I'm dependant on wood, until the stupid caraven brings me the blocks I need. xD
I made a simlple loop out of that water silo. It seems like the game goes really slow when a dwarf tantrums, or dies. I gave up my first good fortress after this, as I figured out the fortress was doomed anyway. I should probably give adventure mode a proper try now, seeing how it's somewhat improved and more intresting with the Z-levels. I made a few test games too, such as one where I started in a human town. Really fun to make human houses cave-in. Lots of free wood. xD Bit cheap though, considering the humans aren't upset at the dwarfs... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Heh, wood is good. In most of my games, I depended more on wood than stone. Up until the point I reached the bedrock at least. Which is hardly the case on my current map with a aquifer.
Also for free wood, deconstruct the wagon (press q, then hover over it). The wagon is useless as far I know, and there is no point letting it to be around... unless you want it to be a free target for a tantrumming dwarf (in my first game ever of dwarf fortress, one of my tantrumming dwarfs tipped over the wagon xD) Edit: Does the carpenter have the carpenter job? (press v, then hover over the carpenter). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I mean, did you look under the preferences section after selecting the dwarf, then labor? Wood cutting should be marked, which is like second on the labor list. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by SukasaAlready done that. It's pretty clear for me how to proceed with the pumping system, since I played with the water a bit the other day. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Yokota:
When the track was rejected, the words that Kondo-san had said really stuck with me. Those words were "Yokota-san, if somewhere in your mind you have an image that Mario is cute, please get rid of it." Well, it's a game I defiantly I want to play now... and I wasn't really hyped about it much in first place until I found this interview. And I kinda skipped on Super Mario Sunshine... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

The wiki is very useful
You probably want to check out the quickstart guide on the front page. Bear in mind that this wiki don't have too much information, as they decided to start from scratch due to the heavy amount of changes. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

You know, my extreme Firefox fanboys days are over long time ago Legion. Get with the times.
...although I do still use it. Easily one of the most used applications, but hey almost everything is on the web nowadays. I'm really curious about the site in question you're having problems with. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Yeah, the running looks very twitchy. Otherwise this is a rather good hack, although I found one strange bug.
Getting eaten by a fish on Level 3-1 makes you finish that level. xD I also noticed the weirdness with the pipes, such as being able to enter them halfways... as blackhole pointed out, ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Ah yeah, forgot to mention a bug.
When Aya is in a tornado, it's possible to fall down in a pit... have the "You died music play" then jump yourself up again (looking rater glitched). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by LegionSwedish chip brands, swedish milk cartons. Hell I pretty much recognize most of the brands on the junk there. Turkish Feber, OLW chips and cheese doodles... Apotekarnas soda pop Yup, it's definatly from Sweden. Definatly not from Scania though as we don't have Arla Milk here. I wonder where in Sweden this was taken... Edit: And that "catfood" looks for me like cans of corn. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
