I plan to start putting up the server again. I just stopped as I think people in general wanted a break, and I kinda wanted to make my own scenario too.

I actually found it kind of creepy seeing the map with Australia named North Korea... and people weren't noticing that it was in a way wrong location. And Australia is a US ally too. I kinda understand if some people can't point out on a map where Korea is but... mistaking Australia?

My favourite question is probably "Name a country starting on U". Priceless.

Would be strange if it wasn't Starcraft related, as they're announcing it in South Korea... the country that apparently have TV channels dedicated to the game.

Of course, I'm not sure how huge WoW is in South Korea relatively to other countries though I do know that South Korea loves multiplayer games.

To be fair, most ROM hackers made rather crappy hacks in the early days.

Just look for Super Emil World on any ROM site. :/

I thought the time limit just ruined it. One of the nice things about adventure games is exploring, collecting, not necessarily doing what you need to do next just yet, and doing it at whatever pace you want when you do. A time limit pretty much eliminates these options, especially since you lose all the nice things you collected when you go back.

The time limit hardly disturbed me on Majoras mask. It only became problem once for me, and mostly due to poor planning from my part.

Only reason that I put a restriction on aircraft is because I didn't want the game to turn into a "spam the LARGEST aircraft game", especially with how the economy broke with aircraft going four times faster. :/ However I think this was already fixed for some week ago...

I might put less restrictions on next game I run though. Probably something like 500.

Also, newIndustries is one of those things I'm looking most forward to. Since it makes games way more interesting.

Most people who complains about the time limit either hadn't owned the game, or hadn't played much of it.

And yeah, the scarecrow tells you about it. Fun thing when you slow time down, monsters and most other stuff still runs as fast but things that are time-based. XD Some people start walking really slowly.

Heh, I fixed NES controllers with similar symptom.

You hard to press really hard for them to react. When we took them apart, there were lots of grim and stuff that made contact harder. Cleaning them made wonders. We should try doing the same for our SNES controllers now I think on it...

That's gotta be the first adventure game where you can find a old computer with amberscreen... that have a USB port. xD

The second one, the one in the lighthouse creepied me out the most. Rest of them wasn't that bad though, although the idea of being stuck in the loop...

Yeah, you can only die in the third one. But that's only if you go against the ingame tip. XD

Heh, one of my older TV's can take the refresh rate (60hz) but not NTSC itself. It results into a black and white image. xD

How new is the TV? Most modern TV's supports both, probably because it's cheaper to build TV's that supports several formats than TV's that only supports one format nowadays I guess.

Some region games have lockouts, such as terranigma above but not all of them. The detection is apparently coded into the game itself.
