Well, I dunno if it was actually lagging on my computer. I suspect it was clientside lag for most people, but still...
I probably restrict the amount of ships next game a bit more. Someone had over 80. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Hässleholm could be a good location for Sweden.
Mostly because it's apparently easy to get here by train for the Swedes and danish people. Maybe for the germans too as well. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Well, even then the amount of false positives terrorists have made me doubt about America as a democratic country.
It's funny how a country bragging about 'freedom' also manages to break UN's human rights. However, it might just been a case where they found a similar name on the list, mistaking him for a "suspected terrorist", and the clerks were being incompetence over it. Or at least, I really hope that... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by GuyPerfectExpect in Sweden you can get away with self-defence. I'm not sure why you would compare with UK now.Posted by AilureI'm reminded of my grandparents' friends, who live in the UK. They told a story of a man who, while defending his own home from an intruder, accidentally injured the would-be robber. So, due to his violent act, he was imprisoned. He had high marks for good behavior, but they would not release him because he was "an endangerment to criminals." And you're talking about a country which have a high density of cameras (UK, that is). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Explains why there were so few gold mines in our current game. xD Well, guess that's a excuse to upgrade later tonight. A gold mine should pop up on it's own sooner or later after we upgraded. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by YoruMaking a statement about law promotes violence? Edit: Also if the statement Kasumi-Astra makes is true, then what he did is illegal. In a dream I had overnight, I told my mom that I wished I was born by her like in the other dimension.
Apparently this was about a alternate universe where I wasn't, but still wtf. And then in another dream, or same one... hard to tell, some fighters from Star wars was crashing into the windows of apartments here... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by Jinsei, benevolent star That's from Kops. It's a awesome Swedish comedy about a police station and the people who work there. And one day they're getting threatened to be closed down, as there's too few crimes in the village they're in. That animation is about one of the characters who wants to be like a cool action hero all the time, and is daydreaming all the time. I guess that's the most famous segment from the movie. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

XK, alot of the stuff I use is actually for TTDpatch, and the GRF authors usually don't have to do anything to do with the openTTD development team. Besides it's not really that hard now... and if they add anything that can make the game harder, it's optional.
Acmlm, heh. Starting off with passenger transport can be a bit risky though as you did, as production can be rather low in the beginning. Most players use industries in the beginning to earn some more money before they bother with passengers. In some games I don't bother at all, apart for aircraft. Hmm, thinking about making a coop game for next week. Also is thinking about making a own trainset, though a rather futuristic one. With maybe a additional railway type. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Oh boy, this would also give people who reverse engineer for fun a bad name now. And maybe they will go head-hunting.
Although it's true what XK says. There's some basics tricks to prevent cheating in peer to peer games. If I made a peer to peer game, I probably would solve it somewhat like openTTD (the whole game is run on each computer and commands are sent inbetween the clients. If it's a client cheats, he will sooner or later desynch as soon he does something that seems impossible for other clients). And it's kinda hard to resolve this too. It's called Read Only Memory for a good reason. :/ ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Also keep in mind that nightlies are bleeding edge. So there might be a few bugs here and there.
Sometimes a lot, sometimes none at all. It depends on the recent development and how many internal changes was made. :p ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I see varied reviews about this game. Seems like fans of the old game tends to shun it the most. << Some reviewers said it was a good game, but lacked originality as there wasn't really that much new. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by Mystery Gourmet Posted by blackhole89 Seems like blackhole won his bet. Thompson is a media whore. Best way is to ignore him, or to make fun of him. It's interesting to note that there's lots of reports how gaming is actually good for you lately ironically... (in moderate amounts, that is). It's interesting to note that some organizations who used to support him have turned their back against him, as some of his methods were a bit excessive. I admit, I really hate when someone abuses a horrible event for his own gains. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

World War II
I'm not going to prevent anything. It's probably one of the most intresting (yet sad) time periods in human mankind. I won't go back in time and prevent anything from happening though, unless it would be related to the end of humankind or something. I would hate coming back and see stuff changing around way too much. I would feel rather uncomfortable with that. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Wait wait, isn't is the same guys who said that god hates Sweden for the tsunami affecting lots of Swedes? You know, there was a tsunami a few years ago in a popular Swedish resort place. I do say it was tasteless, but it actually made me laugh instead as the webpage is only silly (I honestly thought it was satire at first) and only strengthens my beliefs. (*cough* and *cough*)
In other words, if Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket the funerals, it probably will only backfire in the public view. :/ I feel really sorry for the relatives and what they're going through because of all this unwanted attention they're getting now... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by AnyaYou should try the original game one of those days though. I dare to say it's the best plat former even made. I have a feeling that some people overreact as YI didn't really meet their expections. :/ But I probably won't pick up this game ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Anyway we should be able to finish off the game tonight. Not much time left.
I'm already thinking about next game. I really want to test a coop game. I might make it a challanging map again (or a really easy one, i'm not sure), but I probably start with rather high loans for a faster start. Would be intresting to see how fast a company grows if four-five people are working on it or so. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
