I admit, that was the first thing I thought too when I saw it first. There is actually an variant that guarentees the virtual currency, by having a network generate the blocks together and share the resulting money depending on how much CPU time that was contributed. Though now I think on it, a monetary system based on computers running complicated calculations seems... wasteful. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by GoogieThe least activity amongst my friends is between late morning and sometime during middle of the afternoon. Not that I mind as I'm supposed to do constructive stuff during that time. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Yeah, it's value is what people give it. Which is why it might wind up failing too, as it needs enough people to actually care about it having a value.
Rather interesting in how it prevents counterfeiting still, but if someone with a large botnet intervenes, they can probably in theory interfere with this currency. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Cave systems are the best for finding various kind of ore and raw materials. I personally find it painful to dig out stuff manually.
And the whole lantern thing seems to be postponed indefinitely. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Heh, one of the few games with a inbuilt level editor I recall. Amusingly they didn't remove "save" from the american and european versions, while saving only really worked on the orginal japanase famicom disk system version. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I remember Jonbound. While it was basically a remix of the original game story (due to hacking limitations), it was still fun to play. Although I seem to recall that his hack didn't have any of the battle sprites replaced since the compression for those wasn't figured out yet. You gotta have a lot of patience to do a total conversion hack with a game big as Earthbound.
I'd check this out shortly. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I thought Twilight Princess was fairly short for a Zelda game? Then again, the timesink elements of Wind Waker made TP seem shorter probably cause you didn't spend as much time on mindless quests.
Which version of TP? Despite what most fans seems to think, I actually really like the Wii controls. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

The thought of doing the bandage girl zone in dark world is giving me nightmares already ><
I 100%'d the three first world. Completely finished the light world on hell, and progressing through the dark worlds levels randomly as I feel like it. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by TreliorWe celebrate "Julen" or just "Yule" in English which have pagan orgins. But it was pretty much replaced by the christmas tradition with Christianity, but is still called "jul" here. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Super Meat Boy fixed the controls. It's much better and tighter, then again you probably saw the huge disclaimer the newgrounds page had. XD ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Direct translation rarely works out well ; I know it varies from translator to translator, some knows it's better to change puns and names around to fit the English language better, while others goes for the direct translation route, which usually wind up sounding awkward in some cases. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Not the first one I seen parodying that song with video games, but defiantly the best (then again I'd probably like it due to it's Nintendo bias ). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

That's a quite creative use of fences, halfblocks and signs. Notch should add some proper furnitures, he already talked about adding a bed of some kind, as a self-placed "respawn" location. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I added that misspelling into my spellchecker at some point accidentally, I need to remove it.
Sleep deprivation and problem solving does not go well together. Then again, I have plenty of fond memories trying to finish projects at latenight. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
