Probably until every copy of it somehow mysteriously corrupts itself.

While nice for nostalgia, I can't imagine using a bitmap font as part of the OS appearance settings. Especially since some of them probably wouldn't handle being downscaled well... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Tsk, I wouldn't call it a game manipulator. It's more of a software toy with the Source engine. It doesn't really screw with any game directly, though it you can screw with it's contents.
It's ironically no longer a mod, but a commercial game and is only called Garry's mod for historical reasons. It's fun since it allows you to screw with the physics engine (and with the content of any Source-based game you might own. You will have always access to HL2 contents however). The game costs ten dollars, and is well worth the money. There's still Garry's mod 9 to download at places, but it's both buggy and outdated (and requires Counter-strike source! The commercial version isn't as picky.). Besides the commercial version is way better anyway. You have to kinda keep in mind that Garry's mod itself resembles HL2 the most. So anything HL2 related works perfectly, anything else is a bit so so. You can play with the portal levels for example, but it's pointless and some scripted events is broken. Team Fortress 2 levels works fine, but the levels will be stuck in a eternal setup mode (not a problem though, since you can just remove the props blocking the spawn). One thing that's neat is that the Garry's mod supports LuA, so you can program mods for Garry's mod. Unfortunately, I hadn't tried out this myself and from what I heard the documentation is so-so. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I'm planning to do a top ten thing for SNES games, and I will do it through voting. How the polls will be done isn't decided yet (might do some VS things where a bunch of game is bunched together into small groups that is voted on, ala gamefaqs.
Each person are allowed to nominate three titles. Nominating a title that already been nominated is fine, but is usually rather redundant. Anyway, I nominate: SMW2: Yoshi Island, Earthbound, Starfox ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

As far I know, there's actually been some N64 music hacking. I think Dj Bouche even made a program that extracted the music of certain N64 games as midi. I might remember wrong though.
So no, you're not a pioneer. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Yeah both Idiots of Garry's mods are very Robot Chicken esque.
Make sure to check the deleted/bloopers scenes. There's one hilarious scene with gnomes in there that wasn't used for some reason... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I think a mix of both would work best. Of course, "inspired" monsters doesn't need to be carbon copies in terms of stat/moveset. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Apart from the ugly trees on the last screenshot (which you should probably just scrap), this hack looks rather intresting.
I cracks in the background, almost looking like a character could fall down in them. Are they just decorative, or you can actually fall in them? ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

128 megabytes of RAM is a little bit too small for Ubuntu, especially since recomended amount of memory is 192 MB apparently.
I found Ubuntu faster than Win XP, but that's on a 512 megabytes system... which is considered a small amount by today standards. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

My personal opinion about Gentoo is that any performance gain you get isn't really offset by the time you invest by setting the system up. I also have a disdain for the elitism that seems to come from the Gentoo community against distros that is binary-based.
Hibernation and standby works well in Linux, although I wish hibernation didn't try to dump everything into the swap. It's bit of a pain when you have rather limited swap partition (that's the case on my laptop, since I don't have much HD space to begin with), but this might been fixed lately. If you try to hibernate, and the system realizes everything doesn't fit in the SWAP... it aborts the hibernation. :/ ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I'm not seeing the appeal running Linux on PS3, especially since I allegedly heard that the processing power is bit limited while you're running in the Linux mode.
That might have changed. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
