Posted by Surlent I suppose Spatula does the job as well... Spiraled text is not too spammy, but it tends to generate yummy source code... |

Another one, for the Graphics section : Intaglio
It's a vector-based graphics editor, with Quartz and CoreGraphics filtering support and an incredibly well done interface. |

Yeah, I like it. This is very good work, indeed. I can't wait to see the complete game. Levels are not too hard for the beginning, but not too simple either. If you keep up with the progressive difficulty, it'll be a great piece of hacking...
For the alternate boss format in Fortress 1, it's a good idea, although not challenging enough. I suggest you make a bigger level with lots of koopas popping up from everywhere, and make that the boss fight. If possible, set a short time limit to make it harder... Another thing, it seems like Mario's face on the overworld is quite pale. He looks ill... You could also work the advice block's font a little, the letters are quite thin... |

I LOVE thunderstorms...
Everytime I see one coming, I go get some popcorn and watch the show... What I like most is lightning strikes that almost make your heart stop... Sometimes I try to chase the storm in my car so I can watch lightning longer... There's often a short blackout when there are a lot of wind and/or lightning, but I don't remember having any electric appliance failure because of that. Anyway, if anything went very wrong, my power bar would absorb the damage and save my computer... The last time there was a power failure, I was watching Hajime no Ippo and this is the last image I saw: Hilarity ensued... |

As usual, it doesn't work properly for me. The title screen runs, but it's completely glitched. But the story text underneath is normal. After I press Start, just blank...

Okay, headered. What does it mean? I know it's a block of 512 bytes at the beginning of the file, but what's in that block? Zeroes? FFs? Important data? |

The funny thing is... The guy is still right...
If you copy games (ROMs don't count since old games are becoming collectable antiques), the people who make them have less money to make more games. It's fundamental, but some people don't seem to understand fundamental principles... |

I guess it's more "real life"-ish (except the confettis) than the damn Pampers or Huggies ads with their new super-techno-ultra-absorbant-super-elastic-mega-comfort-semi-pants-colors-that-fade-and-electric-shock-if-you-can't-hold-it diapers... |

If "anonymous" should have a plural, I think "anonymouses" would be the most logical one, although languages don't usually tend to evolve logically anyways... |

I get mitiged results here. If I open the stream directly into Safari, QuickTime takes care of it correctly, but I only hear the first 1/3 second of a song. And if I use the URL in iTunes, it says it's playing, but nothing comes out...
Can't you use m3u instead of ogg? |

Yeah, that's right. I said that because the last time I used an audio stream, it was an m3u...
Anyway, too bad it's not working here... |

Oh, so it's F5 and F7 in Castlevania as well? I've seen these addresses in a few other games. Maybe it's a de facto convention, or because it was the same programmers? As far as I know, it would be F5 for buttons pushed, and F7 for buttons held, one bit per button. F6 and F8 for the second controller...
Of course, understanding basic assembly is a minimum when you want to change the behavior of sprites, physics and such... |
