Yep, I think it's badass. Good to at least see you've peeked your head in here, Sukasa!

Are you kidding me? Those two screenshots are from two different systems. The one on the left is from the NES version of SMB3, while the right side is from the SNES version, called Super Mario All Stars.

Kudos to him. He gave it all he had and he knew when to quit. After he stepped down as CEO, he just kinda let it happen... Almost as if he knew what was coming.

You do not have permission for this request /pharyngula/files/2011/10/phelps.jpeg

Also, facebook is overflowing with bullshit about this news. I do not really fucking care to hear the same shit over and over, even if the apple haters make me lol.

I was actually kind of surprised at the kid drawing the Hannah Montana conclusion. Didn't know kids that young responded to things like that.

Actually, y'know. I kninda agree with you, KP. People saying the same shit is really fucking annoying, all these bullshit talk about Apple and how died is a sin,, sure it is. But don't make this as big as possible. People will forget over time, soon enough, they won't even know who the fuck Steve Jobs is.
Kinda turned that one around, didn't you?

At least you didn't have to take apart a SNES controller plug and insert each pin manually into an NES because you didn't have an NES controller to play with. Brutal...

Sounded like a good topic to talk about what with the change of the seasons coming about.

So, what is your preferred comfort zone in regards to temperature? What do you define as "cold" and "hot"? Do you prefer the heat over cold?

I prefer things to be exactly the way the climate is in this area. I live near Salt Lake City, Utah. The temperature gets to be below zero on a few occasions in the winter and above 100 a few days during the summer. This week it's been between 35 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I love it!

I prefer the cold over the heat. It's always easier to warm up than it is to cool down. That's pretty much valid everywhere except for, like, Antarctica.

As for me, I like it cooler than warmer. I'm most comfortable at around 65-70 Fahrenheit. It's been pretty brisk in the mornings here in Brookville. I think it was 49 when I was going past the S&T bank marquee on my way home from work, and it felt pretty good.

My brother and I have a philosophy about the seasonal temperatures. It goes, "It's easier to get warm by putting on more clothes than it is to cool off, since you get in trouble if you're naked."
Yeah, same goes for me on that philosophy except not as colorful. My house is sitting at less than 65 degrees. I would sooner put on a sweater before I spend money.

I think if cosmetic work is going to be done, it should be necessary. Removing Moles and tattoos is "necessary", if the person deems it so. If a woman gets work done on her breasts just because she wants bigger breasts, it isn't necessary. If there is reason to justify getting the surgery, it would be to improve the married sex life. In many cases, marriage and/or sex life is not the reason women wanted bigger breasts; they just wanted to flaunt them as they would a new fashion accessory. That's not something I would deem a worthy justification to disrespect their bodies like that. I've heard of people wanting to get breast enhancement to return themselves to the way they were before bearing children, and that seems /more/ OK to me than the prior example.

Not only that, it's the ethics of spending that money on something more useful or just saving the money altogether, since insurance policies (should you even have one) don't cover cosmetic surgeries.

I think Facebook is beginning to feel a little bit malicious to me. All this talk I keep hearing about Facebook and Personal Data is a little unnerving. Not only that, they keep changing every month or so to what is essentially shitty UI changes.

I would migrate over to Google+ but the only point of that would be if all my Facebook friends (which are all family plus a couple people) were on Google+ already.

Go ahead and check This Post for the addresses. I'm not sure what's really in there. There's also a TON of more data scattered throughout this thread, so I recommend reading through it. Good Luck!~

Hmmm.... my biggest fears are... Well, they're hard to pin down. I'm not sure if this one's even a fear, but I fuckin' HATE cockroaches. I grew up in kind of a shitty situation, so naturally, there'd be cockroaches. Can't stand them. Ugh.

Any guesses on how long that holder will take to become as brown as Rick James? I imagine that material just isn't going to hold its color for very long. Either way, it looks pretty damn cool. I browsed that site for hours after first hearing about it. How much was it?

Maybe instead of trying to do 500 things at once, the staff should focus on getting things actually done, then? It doesn't take three weeks (or >2 years) to implement a relatively simple feature such as this (and I speak from experience here, I work[ed] on a board2-based message board, the implementation of this is not that many SLoC)... (...?) Progress slowly over three weeks is better than three weeks of nothing; it at least gives the appearance that work is getting done, if nothing else.
The very reason why it has not yet been implemented is the same reason that we would like the users to be patient for just a few more days. It is coming, and it is coming soon. Relax, son!

It all depends on the users' preferences. It's rather presumptuous to assume that the user should have to deal with either all or none of them. A layout might not be "bad" per-se, but it should be up to the user to decide that.
