I think it's great gateway practice for learning CSS, but only as such. CSS should be the way to go for styling. Better options, anyway.

Trel, you should totally steal your computer back. I mean, some of the jobs I've found were through sites my DS (probably) couldn't even access due to high-demand specialized structure.

Hahaha. I knew this question was coming. In fact, part of me wanted to do this just to invoke some more activity in this thread, because answering questions isn't as annoying as I'd feared. The name change was a product of extreme boredom coupled with hunger, as I droned on looking into the cupboard looking for something to eat.

Mormon. I actually live in Utah now. Go figure, eh? Actually a pretty nice place, and yeah, tons of Mormons.

Well, if I had to add everything up, I'd say it was still on the good side. I've got a job, a roof over my head, some cool people to hang out with, a new city to explore, girls to meet, and food to eat. My truck is in the mechanic shop, needs an advanced mechanic's touch. After it comes out of the shop though, it's going into the body shop to repair the damage that some random process server caused by backing into my truck with an unmarked police cruiser. At least I get to drive around a semi-shitty rental car for a coupla days.

They're either extremely annoying or extremely amusing. However, in your case, and unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) for me, you seem to be handling being plastered particularly well.

Lol, if she's that ignorant, just show her that it's impossible for you to get on the net since there's no wires going to your computer from the router. She'll never know!

Haha, I'm highly amused at how you're handling this situation. I mean, I don't want to laugh at misfortune, because that's not my intention, but your demeanor in this case puts a bigass smile on my face.

I can see why you'd feel this way; I've been in the same boat with my parents. At present though, it's just become absolutely ridiculous. They're like "Fix our computer" so I go and do so. Then, on another date, I ask them to get on their computer real quick to surf, and they go "You're not gonna fuck it up, are you?"

So I just flat out told them I'm not touching the pieces of shit they call computers until they grant me the fucking recognition that I'm the one fixing their shit and saving them money from having to take it into a repair shop.

That only works now, since I'm out on my own, but if I had said that while I was living, I would have been kicked out on my ass.

So.... you're a happy drunk, and then a mean drunk? Fuck, you must have some seriously shitty hangovers. But yeah, parents piss me off too. (I was gonna say some shit about being thankful for parents, but I don't give a shit right now.)

Fortunately I have been able to convince my parents of this, while still living at home. I believe it has something to do with having been the one who initially messed up the computer. When I first learned the internet, I would crash the old Win98 machine about once every three months, so I eventually just learned to fix it myself. The process continued and I got better at it, until the early 00's, when everyone and their dog started pirating shit and downloading trojans. Then I began covering for other family member's mistakes, and wound up with a computer of my own.
Since then, I've only badly mangled things once, and that was with my own computer when it froze during data transfer so I cut the power at the switch, which fried the motherboard entirely.

Anyway, I now fix issues as they happen with the family computers, and it's generally accepted that I know what I'm doing, so nobody really gives me flack about it anymore.
See, that's the way it was for me, too, except for my parents still haven't really come around fully. They're stubborn people focused on the past and won't let shit go. And I never did half the shit you did either. But whatever. They fed me, so I took their BS.

So I'm a little bit late posting this, but for those who haven't heard of this game, it looks quite amazing.

It's called Super Bat Puncher. Sounds silly, I know, but it's really quite amazing. So far, in terms of wow-ness, I'd have to compare it to Cave Story.

Check out the video:

You can also download the demo (showed in the video) from the Author's Website

Those of us who absolutely must have the physical cartridge should immediately go and storm whatever channel those RetroUSB people are in. I personally will purchase this on cartridge if it ever became available for it.

Well, I finally got the ball rolling and I finally have a decent SMB3 hack under way.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfVmlhNJNMM

I just can't seem to get the video to post properly here.
it's good to see more SMB3 hacking going on. I know space issues plague level design, but there's one rule of thumb that should be followed regardless of anything else, and that's to *not* build your level from the pieces of the original level. You should build it from scratch, that way it doesn't feel like "just another SMB3 hack" that isn't worth playing. Now, I can tell you already have some good footholds down for level design, so you should have no problems with the creativity department. But it's just data logistics that you have to worry about... Like repointing levels to new space, etc...

But as far as youtube vids go, when you get the embed code, you have to check the option that says "Use old embed code" for it to work here. Strange, I know, but whatever.

Should we make Xeruss an ask thread and just answer his questions for him until he actually takes over his thread for himself?

What are your thoughts on E3 this year? It will be going on tomorrow for MS and Sony and Tuesday for Nintendo. I'm excited!

What do you think about Summer so far?

If you had your own computer, would you consider hosting the Mosts?

Well, there's two ways to see those. First, there's an item that makes those things visible. I think it's Xkeeper's Goggles, but It's been so long since I've used them, I forgot. But I just used the second method, which consists of me reading the comment when I push the Quote link. It appears there.

Are you glad the mosts are upon us? I am, and I still need to cast my vote.

How exactly did the "total brony" category make it past quality control?

Oh wait. We never had quality control.

I was sort of against it. I think we should have opened up the discussion before the voting and let some of the users come up with more categories. We need things that are more generic and more fitting towards everyone. "Brony" just appeals to those who know of that new My Little Pony show or whatever and happen to like it. I'm indifferent, and although the show may be considered "popular" or "likable", I'm sure many others are too.
