There are certain things with this hack that make the game play faster. Most of us who played the original Super Metroid and are looking for something new also probably wanted at some point to speed certain things up. "Yeah, yeah, it's a fucking elevator, WE KNOW JUST HURRY THE FUCK UP" and "I don't care about the fanfare music just give me the shit and let me play the damn game" are two good examples. Ceres was probably no different. I, for one, use the game genie code that bypasses the Ceres scene altogether. I imagine all this was done on purpose.

Other changes increase Samus' agility, doors open faster, Samus doesn't lose velocity when landing on a surface, and a bunch of other stuff. All to make the game play faster and much more smooth.

I really wish the Phantoon fight lasted longer as it is right now. I had so much fun with it. It went from the boss I disliked much in the original SM to the favorite in PB.

I meant that the reason you changed Ceres was probably the same as the reason you changed the elevators and doors etc to work faster.

So what else do you plan on changing? I'd imagine you'd want to change the structure of some rooms like you did with some of the elevator rooms.

Also, I'm not really fond of the ice beam palette... I also don't know what the hell Samus is shooting when she fires her hyper beam.

They are self-contained units designed to specifically emulate the game contained within. The ROM inside is compressed with LZ-77 compression method (correct if I am wrong)

If the installed package (called a WAD, from its filename) is moved from the system menu to a memory card, then it likely goes through some kind of encryption key and is assigned a Console ID. Without the encryption key, which we don't have, we will not be able to make any edits that don't screw everything up. The best way is to edit the rom you want, insert it directly into the WAD using tools already on the scene and then install the WAD with a WAD manager. Of course, you will need to mod the Wii which is a topic I don't really want discussed here.

Once found a centipede in raisins. I think that turned away me from raisins for quite awhile afterwards. Most food companies seem to be happy to make up for those finds, probably to avoid the reputation hit.

Jeez, that reminds me about an experience my uncle had... He was munching on a can of raisins, just not looking, snacking on them... Then he realized that they started to taste a little funny. He looked down and there were maggots in the can! Immediately he blew chunks and barely refrained from chugging the listerine. He said he had pieces of maggots in his teeth and everything. Very sickening. He never had raisins again.
