It's been said that some remnant gases are making their way into the pistons. These gases, although normally not present in most manufacturing processes, somehow managed to be mixed in the right amount with normal air. Once you sit on the chair, the gases compressed, and once it reached its flash point, it ignited, much like a diesel engine.

Given that these people have sat in their chairs many times before, I'm not sure why the pistons would explode in one instance and not the others. Perhaps wear and tear has an important factor.

God damn it when I saw your avatar I thought Colin had come back.

I call bullshit on the gas ignition.
At least you're trying to stay on topic.

Although the gas ignition is indeed far-fetched, think of how many of these gas lifts have been manufactured. More than all of the cell phones in the world combined. Think some of them could have been so horribly faulty that they had a failure such as the one(s) in the article?

So is this the direction you're taking with this engine? I mean, at least a vague direction, anyway. Looks interesting. i remember you showing me something like this a while back.

Not ports, but true remakes. I'll count the current Cave Story 3DS as a remake. That's a good example.

If anything, I think Faxanadu should be remade. Its time has come once again.

Didn't talk much about Faxanadu... I think it should be remade kinda how Oblivion operates. I mean, it's going to have its own style, sure, but it just feels to me that it would be the kind of game Oblivion is today.

I think he needs to be banned. It's a serious offense, especially since he fucked up and put THREE level 3's in there. But I think blacky could show a little restraint and not troll board2's own users like that...

I would stick with the handdrawn style, especially as the retro-style games been overdone a bit too much lately.
Overdone? Man, fuck you. I love me some good ol' retro games. The more, the merrier.

I've been such a sucker for XBLA games. Fits my lifestyle. I've been spoiled by games when I was growing up, which games are from the NES/SNES era. I usually have shorter gaming sessions, which would explain why I am not a movie watcher... I don't like commitment to recreational media. The pause button is my friend!

Kawa, do you think I should make a board theme based loosely on my layout? I kinda like this color scheme.

I voted neutral because I'm far too ignorant to care, and the little information I'd likely learn from something like this is in some corner of the internet in some message board thread like this one.

Just a friendly reminder to all those posting screenshots...

Please do not use the .bmp, or "bitmap" format. MS Paint likes to save to .bmp by default. Use .png.

Mickevincent, if you would be so kind, please edit those links to include one in another format other than .bmp.

I couple of ideas that I had been fiddling around with...

Megaman 1-6 remake. I'd say more of just an improvement. Don't change the limitations of resolution, just allow for more colors. Break some of the limits that the NES would pose, but keep the soul of what Megaman really is. Have much less limits on music, too. Megaman with VRC7 and/or other sound expansions... *fangasm*

Another thing is, I'd like to see remakes of games that never really had a chance due to shitty programming, or some other reason. Castlevania 2, for example. That would rock.

So I'm stuck at this medical research study place with no way to connect to IRC. Not even mibbit works. It's like fucking CHINA. Seemingly everything is blocked.

Is there a mibbit alternative?

Basically what these people do is research the effects of a particular drug and how much of the drug is in a given person's system. Basically we're the ones writing the "possible side effects" on the side of a drug bottle. I usually come out without effects. Worst I've had is a headache.

The studies I've participated in are very safe. They're just reformulations of drugs already passed by the FCC and on the market already. So, these companies sponsor these studies to satisfy the FCC.

Being that I never really had a stable childhood or father who was there for me growing up, I learned not to become attached to anything. Therefore, I didn't really have a hero growing up. As far as admirations go though, I'd have to say Carl Sagan as well, along with Bill Nye. The latter is what I watched at both home and school. Both those dudes made me love science, and I was fortunate enough to have teachers who were amazing and not some monotone boring-ass drone. A couple of them were hot as hell, too.

Do I really have to go through the math and explanation of why having such a large collection is a good idea? I don't have much (a small collection of non-MP3 audio CD's) and I can see the amazing benefits to a 160GB player.
