Transformers 2.

Because it pays to wait through the credits.

This is really nice. Background editing is the last major aspect of the editor!
HIGHLY TECHNICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

But seriously, you guys need to check out the MoonEdit server. You can connect to it using the following information:

Server: 72.223.112.91
Port: 23000
Pass: adam

There is a lot you can do on this server. There is a file for all of the Sprite Lists if you care to add them. There is a file for Music List, as well as Clipdata. Most importantly, you have the main Zero Fission file where you can make suggestions, post bug reports, add to the help file, and many others. I highly recommend this because an editor without documentation is EPIC FAILURE. So, come and make your contribution!

There is also a file for SMILE, however, there's not much there at all. I hope to make this a collaboration central for anyone developing an editor!

Well, sure. Give yourself a false sense of intelligence. Or, you could stop being a pussy and actually learn how things work. It's really good brain conditioning. I used it as an interview tool one time, for my sales job, and I got it!

DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE A WHOLE NEW REGION! I AM A MAPPER, NOT A SCRIPTER! CELEBI IS THERE BECAUSE I CANNOT THINK OF ANOTHER PLACE FOR HIM, JUST LIKE REGIROCK IN MT. MOON. I am sorry, I need to calm down. Whoo... Sorry, but I am very picky. But please, criticism is ok, but saying I should completely re-do the hack pisses me off. I have spent over 4 months on this.

I know losing 4 months of work can be a little discouraging. However, it's a very powerful learning experience and I've learned that starting over (only when you have to) is an awesome learning experience. Starting over means you've already done this, and it'll be a little easier this time around.

I think xk's right, until anyone provides us with some concrete evidence, there's not really any reason to draw conclusions here.

I agree. The thread I made only got positive results, there was no reason to close it. I believe there is some animosity towards Xk that doesn't need to be there. If there is any kind of problems with the admins and Xk, then the board's members need to see it instead of the staff being so secretive about it.

You name the thread, you get a copy of it.

A *thread*? The staff forum is probably chock full of it. I'd like to see some cold hard justification of why Xkeeper was removed from office.

I think there are many, many people here who think that Xk was a fine leader. The board was running just fine. In fact, it's the best I've seen the board in quite a while. He keeps things in order, and prevents stuff happening to the board (like stag019) and if shit happens, it's quickly dealt with. Now that Xk is out of office, the board has already been hacked, and it took an entire day to fix it. (I might be over-exaggerating a little, but you get my point, it wasn't quick.)

A lot of us think Xk should still be the leader of this board. The only ones who don't like him were the ones who had the capability to remove him from office.

I understand it's pretty late at night, and people are probably too "tired" to go fetch some links or logs. So, we'll see if anyone comes up with anything tomorrow. I assume anything that shows up will be minuscule little bickerings not worth mentioning at all.

Pretty much. But some areas might be based on Link's Adventure.

*Kills*

There is at least one great Zelda II: The Adventure of Link styled sprite sheet out there, that has be 16-bitified...

The overworld Mario is only 2bpp. However, you do have more colors to deal with instead of the very few colors the NES Provides. The title screen is also 2bpp, but you can work around this technical shortcoming by using different palettes for each tile. Using a combination of this and a little creativity, you could make some serious looking graphics with this!

Smokescreen is ancient. It's a tactic used by those who need to tip the scales a bit in their favor. In a fighting game, especially the Smash series, I can see where you could find use for this. Realistically, someone standing in the middle of a smokescreen could be setting (or already set) a trap, waiting to blow someone's head off, or use it to gain stealth. They also could use it to retreat, but in Smash, this isn't possible because of the nature of the gameplay.

This item would be "on" in my list.

I'm sure *someone* will figure out a strategy. They always do. However, I've yet to see one with Mr. Saturn...

Do you have a video demonstrating this? I'd love to see how it is done. I bet there's tons of shit I don't know about Melee, and I'd sure love to see it all.

It kinda makes me wonder if there's a site for SSB games like metroid2002.

This is coming along very nicely. the Sprite Viewer so far looks promising, and I (for sure) will be using it. Can you explain the pic a little more? What are all the black boxes? What are all the labels there on the left?

I was looking at one of the threads here and wondered how plausible it would be to change how Mario's control physics worked. In SMB1, the controls were a little clumsy, but everyone knows it's a classic, and you can't live without it. There are many people who create SMB1 hacks that would like additional elements past what is available in the NES ROM.

Really, this could open up all kinds of possibilities for hacks. You could use SMB3's engine as a base for your hack, and create around that as you see fit. The possibilities are endless.

Any comments?

I think you should continue on with this. It would be one of the most groundbreaking tools to come out in the entire ROM Hacking scene. That, and I need to get my music fix too. I'm dying to compose for N-SPC. There's seriously an itch to compose for Super Metroid. this NEEDS to be finished.

I actually liked the house on the right. Link on the left looks pretty cool too. Really, the day setting is what makes this look real nice. What would really breathe more life into this hack is some new GFX. The animations on the overworld I've got to see, though.

Keep this up, this hack looks promising!

I've been nailed with two.

The first, heading down a city street doing 54 in a 35, for which I had to take a class. Defensive Driving bullshit. My teacher was the guy who pulled me over. Funny thing is, I was going with the flow, and I was singled out. The guy right next to me was going faster, but I didn't have the proof, and I got nailed anyway.

The second, I was on my way to another part of the state, and got pulled over for doing 83 in a 55. It was a nice old man that pulled me over, and only gave me a $32 fine for the "65 in a 55" violation.

All in all, I probably should slow down. I might kill people. I do admit I'm a little reckless sometimes, and I know that people have lost loved ones because of the recklessness. Not only that, it saves my wallet.

Any thoughts on this? Other experiences?
