Where are your screenshots? You seem to have ignored this sticky thread.

Redesign was kind of the same way though. Unseasoned Super Metroid players couldn't tell the difference between it and Redesign. If this is a "complete hack", there are bound to be some changes that can be shown by screenshots. That isn't a justifiable reason not to show screenshots.

Come on, man, I want to see!

I generally like to keep in touch with people after a community disbands for whatever reason. It's nice to see how they are coping with the change, and if they might have found another community to be a part of.

As for what I think might happen when we're all old geezers, I think someone might finally finish that one PS3 hack of God Of War 3 when I'm... oh, say 72 years old. And I might find that rare dump of the never-before-released prototype of Duke Nukem Forever. Then I'll post about it on board37.

I'm glad I finally finished my schematics of my bedroom set. I just need to build it now...

Remained motherfucking bulletproof.
You're not bulletproof, your activity that you put into this community just gives you superhuman healing Wolverine-like abilities. :<

I'm glad I screamed and yelled at my bank to get them to reverse 2 overdraft fees that really that should only have reversed one.

Or, since they killed off the heart, we could replace it with the robot heart! E>

So, pretty much anything less than E is banned, if they decide to 86 that one too. A, B, C, D will pretty much be without a home. Poor bastards...

Didn't one of the Nintendo systems have some really funny do's and don'ts in their instruction manual? I think it might have been the DS or Wii... but it had me rolling on the floor!

Like most people here, I'll cheat only after completing the game the first time (or two). Sometimes, when playing RPG's, I'll just use cheats the first playthrough just to get the story.

Sometimes I'll use a Game Genie to make a game harder. I do it all the time in Mario games.

Mariofan0's ideas kinda inspires some SMB3 ideas... How about making Xbox 360/PS3 style goals in SMB3? Say, you complete goals such as--

1) Gain X amount of coins
2) Kill X amount of enemies
3) Complete all levels
4) Complete 50 levels
5) Get 5up in matching game

--And get different endings based on the goals you complete. No game mechanics are changed, except for the visual confirmation that the goal has been completed on screen. Perhaps you could change/add endings based on the goals you complete... Say, you kill a crapload of enemies, the princess gets mad at you for being a vicious murderer...

...or similar.

The idea of moonedit is great, but it requires the user to install the client on their computer. Not a big issue, I know, seeing as there's not much of a demand right now. However, making it a web applet will encourage more users to use it.

One would launch the applet, and log in. You would pick which "server" and/or "room" you want, which then has all files pertaining to that room in there. You could then pick the file (which may or may not be passworded) and it would load up in the buffer. The editable area would be similar to moonedit from there...

Settings that you could change would be colors of users' text/nicknames, hell, you could even put in RGB value/scheme settings which get saved as cookies (why the hell do they call them cookies?) or something to that effect.

The benefit for the community?

It would be the only community where users could collaborate real-time without downloading a special client (aside from Java, which lots of poeple have already)

Staff could collaborate real-time on board2 related events, ones which require structure in a notepad-based environment.

Probably tons more.

Thoughts?

I once got so pissed off at a game (Can't remember which one it was, I think it was Gradius 3) that I ripped the controller out of its connector socket and whirled the controller around in a circle a couple of times and sent it sailing right through my living room window.

Worst fit of game rage ever for me...

Being an uncle must be weird... My uncle is actually younger than I am... by almost a full year. A rare case indeed.

It'll be a while myself until I am an uncle... I'm the eldest in my family.

I know it'd take a lot of work, but it would be interesting to see this take off. The moonedit server that already exists for this community doesn't see a lot of activity because of its general difficulty (compared to a java applet) in the beginning.

On a side note, we should revise the "control panel" area just below the banner. We could keep the links we already have, but categorize them better. You could just switch places with the PoRA™ box, and make it more obvious to the users. New features and tools would get better use/exposure out of this, such as the IRC Java applet, this moonedit java applet, board2 Radio, etc. The links would be bigger and possibly have a small image next to it.

I could mock something up if anyone is interested...

I'm thinking of building a desktop machine using my income tax money. I'm also a little behind on technology nowadays, so I'm going to need some help... (I guess that's to be expected when you don't have a lot of money to buy shit.)

I'd like to have e-Sata, Blu-Ray, tons of USB ports, large harddrive capacity, a couple of kickass video cards.

I'm looking at blowing around ~$1000 on this project.

Don't worry about monitors, mice, keyboards, or any computer accessories unless they are otherwise recommended.

This would also be a good place to state your dream machine and the budget it's built on.

Ready... GO!

I catch it and throw it back at Kawa, with a ransom note attached. I want over nine thousand frog coins or your internet dignity dies.

I was looking at a Core i7 machine, but that's way out of my price range. It would be sweet though, 8 simultaneous threads at a time. Instead, I was going to try to get a Core 2 Quad. The RAM is less expensive, too. I can get this in a 1333MHz FSB flavor.

I was planning on 8GB of RAM, two nvidia video cards, 2TB of HDD space, and I usually don't worry about sound as much.

There's a lot of shit I don't know though, like the timing of the RAM, I see a lot of 4-4-4-12 stuff but I have no idea what the hell it means.

Despite a complete goodset, I can't think of a game I can rip a good base from to use as the Batcave tileset. Suggestions?
Go with the cave graphics from Wizards & Warriors II: Ironsword. Great tileset there.

Also, no more QFT's. They're gay. (Real reasons include: complete utter waste of a post. No content added, except for an agreement. If you want to agree, that's fine; just do so with other content in your post.)
