The ultra-violent videogame Manhunt 2 allows you to rape a woman shortly after you beheaded her in the brothel level called Honey Pot. Members of the ESRB were shocked when Daniel Lamb used his male reproduction organ and simulated a penetration in the bloody hole. Other gruesome parts include microwaving a living cat to death and being a witness of necrophilia in a cemetery in one of the later stage of the game.

It's a penis, you dolts!

He was jacking off a dead lady.

Nothing too new or interesting in this day and age.

SWR:

Took a look at Oni and I wasn't too happy with it. I AA'd it no problem and the sync is pretty much not a problem but you do have some rather odd patterns added in that I attribute to 'lol' syndrome. It happens with all of us. Basically you put in runs that make no sense and get carried away because the music is awesome. The awkward jump placements on beats and the end 16th run into fade are a few examples.

There's no background and it seems that "Rabite's Revenge" is who you got the sim from originally (given the #TITLE: field). Might wanna do some more work on that next time. :\

Overall, if you submitted it the way it was now, I'd probably give it a 6 or a 7. For a keyboard sim, it's about average and there are some things in it that just go a little too overboard to be used in a sim such as this. Too much pace for notes that just weren't there.

So let's see...

...that's banned.

MPAA will now usually give anything that involves cigarettes an R rating.

Gee are we getting our lives run by special interest groups or what?

Next thing you know, it'll be reckless endangerment to play God of War within a 100 foot vicinity of a five-year-old...even if not in the same household!

"MOMMY I THINK I HEARD GORY SHIT IN THAT APARTMENT!"

"Where did you learn 'gory'?"

...I'm actually a little curious about the game now, where as I probably never would have touched it before...

You and probably far too many others who haven't ever heard of it.

Now you can thank media coverage for wanting more kids to have the game than they did before the ESRB made a fuss about it. Totally awesome.

...You know, the kind of mindset that is, in your guys words "Bringing about the downfall of vidja gaym." I don't think many of you guys would even -play- it and you're pissed off...

I understand businesses saving their ass...because that's why everyone's jumping ship after that announcement but here's a problem:

It's called people running the lives of others and submitting to what little rights we're getting these days. It's called limiting options to those that are available. And for the hell of it...it's bullshit really. For every game that's ever made, someone is interested in it. Maybe not me, maybe not anyone here, but someone does. Obvious case because it wouldn't have been made otherwise if it didn't appeal to the people that already made it. Outright killing a game to have a chance, even if posed with extremes, doesn't really help. But I guess it's the job to pioneer how far on that line people can take gaming before they crack and go B&!

Besides, a freaking crazed person, as portrayed in this game, isn't going to go overboard on stuff like that? Touch of reality a bit too much for people these days? If you don't like that, don't buy it. Simple as that really. And for those that aren't mature enough to play something like this, that is common sense and I would agree that I wouldn't want a kid who can't handle something like this to do as such. Only problem is that limits the rest of the world to that fact.

I wasn't saying there was a downfall of video games whatsoever. I was just stating that there's a lot more on this crap nowadays then there was a while ago. Godforbid if we ever get Resident Evil too real for people when the PS5 rolls around and it's as high as the Final Fantasy series in terms of games.

Hmm...looks off.

Part of it may have something to do with the eyes and the fact that the face should probably be a little different.

This is coming from someone who has no idea how to draw or would probably do it themselves. :\

Here come a stream of random shots:

Heaven forfuckingfend we get an overkill of book reading!

HAY IT'S NOT GOOD TO BE HOLED UP IN THAT ROOM READING BOOKS ALL DAY!

Hell, ain't that most RPGs?

Not my fault there isn't anything good on TV these days.

In all seriousness, I guess we're all mentally disordered. Guess now we can claim disability.

No Alastor, no. I read the article start to finish. I completely agree with you in that such a thing exists. This article does represent that fact no question and I'm not saying that such a thing doesn't exist. I'm just saying WE ALREADY DAMN WELL KNOW AND HAVE FOR A LOOOONG ASS TIME THANKS!

I don't need any more of these statistics flooding my reading material given day-by-day telling me something I don't already know. Great to know what we're researching psychologically these days but at the same time it's nothing new. The way I take it is another venue that someone's going to use against the community as a whole (ala Tack Jhompson) and do something stupid with it.

You can get addicted to practically anything and have negative effects on it. Anything. Tell me something I don't know, please. Like I said, the next thing you know it really will be a disability if we get too out-of-hand with it.

Why do you think parents ground their kids from the vid games only to see their grades improve usually? I mean tell me something the PARENTS don't already know (at least those responsible)...
