Probably because you could put something like 'A'x255 in.

Well...I did write BATCH menus but it wasn't at age 4. :\

I have made a high school panic on a computer by setting the AUTOEXEC to an echoing infinite loop, thereby not allowing Windows 98 to load...unless you were brilliant enough to know what the term 'break' meant (which they didn't). I bet you I could've made them reformat the system if they were just a little less smarter and didn't figure it out (some techie guy did, not the school).

Not like I was caught or anything.

Oh I can probably type over 100 WPM if I'm not thinking about it and I'm going off my thoughts alone but I agree...those tests do tend to be off by about 10 or 20 WPM if not more.

I know this because I've taken a look briefly at how fast I type...heck I'm sorta doing it with peripheral vision right now...peripheral.

I figured that there would've been a thread on this a month ago but it seems that no one's mentioned it.

DX10.

Guess you may as well get it, since there's a likelihood of use coming up here shortly (SC2, for instance).

And you get what you pay for. What's new here?

That should be common sense enough.

I've never understood why you lazy bastards dont code in a password retrieval system.

You answered that comment by commenting so I don't think I need to go into detail.

[shrugs]

All I know is that I yanked my copy of Win2K Pro off my cousin and it says I'm genuine when I got DX9. There was some sort of validation software that I had to download for it, however.

I asked myself the same question; I assumed that I was going to get some sort of notice in Windows Update like I'm usually used to. I guess that wasn't the case or I've completely missed it a month beforehand.

Oh well...good thing I was looking at SC2's FAQ.

Actually, last I checked, Intel was beating AMD in the benchmarks...though it was a month or two ago since I checked.

He's dissing you because you have a Celeron. My 1.0GHz Pentium III can likely beat out a Celeron whatever.

I can't believe it's been five years since I've graduated. Honestly, it's been a lot easier for myself since then. :\

I don't do a ridiculous amount of it, but I do occasionally...especially when I'm pissed off...my brain tries to crank in about five or six swears, at least, into a straight set.

I can't say that I've beat someone who's come into RS a few times and drops GDs like there was no tomorrow. It was like...every third word. I'm not that bad.

I had to go through my gradumutation ceremony and I was embarassed as hell to be paired up with the (mostly) idiots that I went with. I honestly have no ties to the class I graduated with. I do, however, have ties to class that graduated before and after I did (oddly enough). Heck, my best friend in the whole wide world's older than I am but graduated a year later. Stupid schools.

Least I can say I got that much out of high school, among a few very sparing things. I will say to those graduating that your life's not even started until you see what there is out on your own. Everything's not set by the school ciriculum anymore, it's set by yours. Course, if you have an actual work ethic (which I'm sure most people here are HEAVY procrastinators) then it won't be that bad for you.

I will say that my salutatorian AND my valedictorian are NOT well off right now because of that. Just something to keep in mind that things do get a bit more serious but it does end up getting a hell of a lot better once you settle into the rest of the stage that's called life.

Fuck, I should've been valedictorian instead of graduating 4th. That would've been an easy minute speech that the idiot has to give that no one ever seems to do decent research on. Hell, I think I recall one cited off the entire thing of 'Oh the Places You'll Go' by Dr. Seuss and didn't do a damned thing otherwise.

It's like 'geezus cripes, try at least ya know?' but whatever...
