You know I was certain that -30 degree wind chills in blowing snow such as the ones I've been through in Illinwah were colder.

I could be wrong. I couldn't really stay out more that 15 minutes with three layers on to know before I had to go back in for another 15.

Having Bluetooth doesn't -necessarily- mean that you're going to be able to PUSH data objects from one device to another. You actually have to have the capability to do this.

I haven't really dealt with my GO 510 model too much at RS to tell you if such a thing is doable, nor do I know the exact specifications of its service list for the Bluetooth, which may not be able to accept file data transfers (if the Bluetooth capabilities on it are -really- sucky). I would assume it could get the data just fine but I would wonder if your iPaQ is capable of PUSHing objects, such as spreadsheets. If it is, I would assume that it's just a matter of getting the correct format that works with the TOMTOM GPS unit, which I would have no clue of...

I'm currently trying to dig for info on Google using the query 'tomtom 510 bluetooth capabilities' but I'm getting nothing so far...I'm not seeing anything that says if it's capable of such a thing or not.

I'll laugh if it sucks but the chance of that is far too slim for me to win that bet.

Truth be told, I don't play these type of games and I've -got- Starcraft with the Brood War expansion. Even people that don't generally play the series knows how good it is and probably just own it out of principle.

Doc Jay, just got off the phone with one of our senior managers over at RS and it seems I was right. The most that GPS is going to be able to do is be a speakerphone with its Bluetooth capabilities. I asked him if there were any GPS units that have such a capability to PUSH data and he said that they may exist but for what we sell they don't. I would assume if such a thing existed it would not be cheap.

All you would really need to find is if the GPS is capable of handling data transfers in its Bluetooth capabilities. That may be harder to find than I initially expected.

...I think I'm just a little paranoid when I go up there now that no matter what, the weather will be like it was when we were soaked all day. Thats what makes it miserable. 50 or 60 isn't that bad, but walking around for 12 hours in the same drenched shoes and socks and light clothing that is now one with your skin because nothing ever evaporates even when it isn't raining due the humidity, isn't exactly the most comfortable thing in 50 or 60 degree weather. Especially with the 30+ mph winds while your waiting in line for Wicked Twister. Thats why I always bring a change of clothes now. Or at least a different pair of shoes and socks. That was the worst thing, even when we did manage to get somewhat dry, our feet were just crying out for mercy. I think they were about twice their size by the time we got in the car to go home...

Ooo...yea that I'll have to agree with. The temperature isn't as bad as the precipitation and the wind that goes with it. Considering you were drenched, ow. There used to be a ride at Six Flags St. Louis that left me completely drenched for an hour or six...I think it was by the name Tidal Wave...and that was the worst mistake I did towards the end of summer when it was cold. My poor shorts.
