I'm almost certain that Samus and Zero Suit Samus are two completely different characters, prolly not even Zelda/Shiek style, I mean look at the moveset she's displayed in the trailer, it's nothing like Samus'

Lets try to start guessing the level types before Nintendo puts em out

we already have "Battlefield" but I can think of a few other pretty standard ones

we have the F-Zero cars coming at you style, this is used again with their new Mario Kart level

Then their are circuit levels like the rainbow ride and the pokemon parade levels.

I'd like to see a Classic Mario Bros Arcade level with the pipes and fireballs, or a SMB2 level where you don't die off of the sides but wrap around and can only die off of the top of the screen and in holes, it would play totally different.

also it would be cool to have the icey item to freeze platforms like in Mario Bros Arcade when they hit the platform instead of a character to make it slick and slippery.

I'm sure they are going to pull another ultra retro character besides Pit, I wonder who it will be?

I'm seeing too much Warioware and not enough Wario Land in Wario's moveset, it's making me nervouse :/

Final Smash sounds alright, albiet a little Engrishy perhaps. Smash Orb would be better than Smash Ball.

They LOOK cool, but I don't see how it adds to the gameplay, and it feels like it'll break up the action too much. Maybe not. at least their logo finally has an item

The name probably isn't final, Super Smash doesn't seem like a bad name, seeing as the name of the game is Super Smash Bros

I'm sure each character's special WILL have a name.

what is the point of a game like this though? the purpose? it's obviously just screaming for attention.

I do agree that people's reaction to the media is a little hypocritical, because terrible things happen around the world all the time, but all they care about is what people are getting hyped about now, the latest drama, it cheapens the life of those who dies, and that makes me sick.

People may die, but as a decent human being you should respect life for what it is.

The only point in a game like this is to get attention, and agitate those mourning.

if it's not fun, it's not a game, and if it's something so fresh like this, then it isn't funny.

People don't get it, until they experience it themselves. I'm not some kind of activist or anything, I simple think this is a perfect example of a waste of everyone's time for cheap drama. Way to go.

To comment on recent posts, sure death is natural, but murder is not.

if we lose the value of human life in our society then we have ultimately lost our humanity.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate for a sec here Dr. Death, so since you have so little regard for the value of human life, what is to say that your life matters? we might as well all not exist.

This is purely for the sake of discussion.

I see what you mean.

I myself do not obsess over mourning, what I was trying to convey was a respect for the dead, so as to not make cheap jokes, as while death may be a fact of life, it's not a joke either, it needs to be taken seriously. Sure you don't want to mope, the dead person wouldn't want you to mope, but people shouldn't make light of it, or twist it with stuff like murder/rape jokes/games.

your avatar suits your ideas

I DO think that everyone deals with death differently though, and I think it is also good to be sensitive to those who have lost a loved one. To be honest, I find myself a very emotional person and yet at funerals, or when hearing of death, or even goodbyes, I feel nothing, I don't cry, but I can be understanding to those who do.

To go to the extreme, you wouldn't ask a child "why are you sad you saw your older sister maliciously slaugtered? It's a fact of life. It happens to millions of people all the time, so stop feelings sorry for yourself."

I think you've made it clear though that you aren't malicious, just open minded, and in search of truth, so I bid you good luck with that.

well they haven't SAID it, but I'm pretty sure it'll still charge, that was a key feature. I'm betting certain people's charges will also allow them to be mobile now, while others probably still won't.

weird, the old super scope image looks better than the new one to me. (Melee vs Brawl) that's odd that they'd have the Super Nintendo logo on it, what about the Japanese, wouldn't it have the Super Famicom logo with the 4 button colors?

SITE UPDATE

The level "Delfino Plaza" from Super Mario Sunshine has been added

This is the central town of Isle Delfino, the tropical setting of Super Mario Sunshine.
Wow! That blue ocean is bright on the eyes.

Ahh… It makes me want to swim.

This particular battle stage flies around the skies above the island.

Fly here and there as you look down on the town below.

After a thrilling landing, it becomes a normal battle stage.

There are several landing points.

This flight path repeats, providing great sightseeing and brawling.
The changing scenery is so beautiful, you get absorbed in it.

You really feel like a tourist!

I think Nintendo should have had you standing on the plane from the intro of the game for the landing, but they didn't ask me

Also, I wonder if there will be unlockable classic stages from SSB and SSBM.ghost town.

pretty sure that is going to happen, I only hope there are more this time. Even though if you have melee you can play it on your wii, and virtual console will have smash bros original, it would be cool the play the new game in all the old scenes.

well, I'd rather have this than no info at all, I'm glad the developer is involved personally too, it's nice, like the Jap Crystal Chronicles site, the actual makers are involved.

It has taked awhile, but I want them to spend time tweaking brawl, especially as it is a fighter, and they are working with a new studio.
I want to see a level with a lot of running around space, like the zelda temple level in Melee.

"I don't see why they only update on weekdays, not weekends. You'd think it'd be easier to find time on weekends."

because they go home and have a life on a weekend, just like you and me

EDIT:

I just had a thought on where they may be sticking new moves like the commando crawl and aiming the projectile weapons like the launcher while moving.

The second joystick! sure they used it as another option for smashing in melee, but that is totally uneeded. What do you want to bet this is going to have it's own moves assigned to it now.

SITE UPDATE:

Yoshi's Story Ending Theme: they've added a sample of this, you know the one with the baby Yoshi's singing "ee eh oh!" over and over and over and over. how sweet.

I wouldn't mind if they ditched captain falcon, but he's got too much of a fan base.

The Yoshi's story song was cool, and has the little yoshi babies. I went and listened to the original ending tune. Both are good, I think I like this remix better though.

all in all great stuff, keep it coming Nintendo.

I know, I thought they should have brought back more stages, and not the ones they basically had clones of like the kirby, DK, and Yoshi levels I wanted Hyrule castle, and even the old Great Fox, because it was a lot longer.

I like the old Yoshi voice too, but I don't think we'll get it back. At least we'll get a yoshi's island level with yoshi's island music.

God bless Yuka Tsujiyoko. Curse you Kazumi Totaka!

he says

wah!
Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmnmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnmm!
Yoshi!
Plung!

except in RPG Mario games where he actually speaks proper English....

you forgot "Badum BUM!" and "Boing HOP!"

I like Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story both, but baby yoshi sounds shouldn't take over normal yoshi. I also think Yoshi's Island was just a deeper, longer game with more production value, it also had the benefit of Miyamoto in the developement.

watch, the next characters they reveal are going to be like yoshi, and luigi, and nes and obvious ones like that.

Big Blue was sweet, especially going upside down, and yeah faster characters faired better, instant 3rd jumps helped. I actually liked Flat Zone for what it was, it was so chaotic and had a very different strategy of fighting, I'll agree that you wouldn't want to play it too much though, as it could be cheap, and most certainly turn items OFF, it already has enough mayem.

"ABBIGADI DA BOOO!" audio clip? I'm pulling a blank here and it's frustrating
