How do I get the SMB3 (NES) Koopa's flesh attributes? (The yellow colored skin, feet and eyes)

Is it possible to get it changed like the SMB1 Koopas/SMB2 Shyguys, or is it just 1 color for the SMB3 Koopa's skin? (Both have only 1 color attributes except the SMB3 Loopa)

Just 2 simple questions!

This is a little off-topic, but can you (Mattrizzle) remake Hebereke.NSF (track 1) in SMW for me? That will be used in my SMW hack that
features Hebereke/Ufouria characters.

Unless you say it is Impossible, Get the NSF:

http://zophar.net/nsf/hebereke.zip/

You should need NSF2MIDI or something to make it easy for you and then convert MIDI to XM with MID2XM:

http://www.zophar.net/utilities/download/nsf2mid-0.131-eng-icemod.rar

http://www.un4seen.com/mid2xm.html

With Modplug Tracker you can have a EASY look at the notes that the music (*.XM File) contains:

http://modplug.com/

The music is kinda catchy, I am so new to music hacking and I could not do it yet.

Good luck!

I guess I haven't made it known yet, so here it is:
Please, please don't request that I add to your hack music from games that don't use the N-SPC engine!
This goes for everyone, no exceptions. I am sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

I think you misunderstood, Mattrizzle87. I do know that it is not a N-SPC engine, but a NES Sunsoft music engine. These tools above (and maybe **Hyrule Magic) will help you port the game's music to NSPC

** = Somebody already said that Zelda 3 uses the NSPC engine. So I might
recommend getting a Zelda 3 rom and remake track 1 of Hebereke.nsf in NSPC with Hyrule Magic and the tools above to convert it!

Modplug tracker is a GOOD tool to view the converted MIDI with. but
you have to either port it 2 ways:

1. port it in Hyrule Magic and RIP the SPC,

OR

2. Port it to the SMB2 patch's N-SPC format and port it by hand.

Example:

NSF --> MIDI --> XM --> (View) --> Hyrule Magic Music editor (or NSPC)

This should be an example of PORTING, Good luck!

Do not put me in trouble please. I am making sense and I am trying to explain my best to you!

I guess I did kind of jump the gun there, Hamtaro126, though I do have may reasons for saying that. For one, I know that if I do fulfill this request, I'll have to be prepared to face a torrential downpour of them, and I can't possibly bear that responsibilty.

I followed all of your steps, and it seems that I didn't have to convert the MIDI to XM. MODPlug Tracker has a MIDI viewer/editor, which is good, because the MIDI format is similar to the N-SPC format in many ways. However there are many differences that I can't figure out(what determines the length of a note; finding the N-SPC equivalent to a MIDI tempo). I've never really dabbled with MIDI files before, so I don't know.

If all else fails, it wouldn't be the end of your hack, would it? I'm not trying to be negative here, but I am simply stating the fact that there is a possibility it won't work.
BTW, your hack does have one of the SMAS music patches patched to it, right?

From this point on, I ask that everyone who has a request please PM me the request. This thread is already far enough off-topic as is.

Yes. I do have all SMAS patches (but I patched it on each diffrent ROM)

1 of each rom as follows: DW3, DW1, SMB3 and SMB2

so if you want to give it to me in some patch (patch-on-patch like DW3 to DW1 maybe) give it to my EMAIL address (JAJJMM@MSN.COM)

Thank you for your time, Mattrizzle87

This may sound a little stupid, but how do you seperate the games from
the SMAS rom? For example: Say that I wanted to seperate SMB1 or SMB3
from SMAS. I know it requires so much 65186 ASM, But I need to make
hacks out of seperate games from SMAS without screwing around too much with ASM!

How do I make Koopas more like in SMB 1 and 3 where the Shell-less
Koopas do not HOP OUT of the shell and instead turn into a Regular Koopa.

Please tell me how to do that!

You only said about the koopa getting IN the shell, not OUT like in my previous response. Next time be more specific!

Sorry for saying this again, but did anyone (or specifically Mattrizzle)
make a patch containing a SMW remake of Track 1 of Hebereke.nsf?

NOTE: I already told Mattrizzle to do it, this is the 2nd (Hopefully FINAL)Reminder because of the release of the N-SPC Documents in the past threads (Containing EVERYTHING to convert from MIDI). I am too BUSY to make the conversion to SPC myself right now.

EDIT: Deleted the rest myself due to me being strict again (A little, I Guess)

EDIT 2: Ignore the Bottom two please, since I deleted most of this.

How do I make Mario stay big Like in Doki Doki Panic?

And how do I Make the Animations 2 or More Times Faster?

I am making 2 hacks: One is a **Doki Doki Panic remake and one is diffrent hack in which I will not reveal yet.

____________________________________________

** If BMF still has his SMB2 Hack called ''Doki Doki Panic NES'', Then I can make that as a base/replacement of my hack with several modifications.

In other words, To BMF: (Regarding the Hack of SMB2 called Doki Doki Panic NES) Email that hack at JAJJMM@MSN.COM if you still have it, please!

BMF's version should be better, although it's unreleased

Yes, I am currently using that DDP hack for right now. But I currently need BMF's to make things better.

The "bug" was user error. You clicked on New Thread instead of New Reply.

This happens to many people. Just watch where you click, and it probably won't happen again.

Thanks you for telling me that, I just did not know what happened.

PS: Go back on topic again.

I looked at Doki Doki Panic's Music engine, but It has a diffrent format than SMB2's NSF format.

So can anyone recreate (at least most of) Doki Doki Panic's music to SMB2's NSF format? If so, make it and give it to me either Here, NESDEV.Parodius.net or my Email (Jajjmm@msn.com).

Note: Do it in either IPS or NSF format. ***NO ROMS!!!***

If you want the format docs, request it here and I will send it by E-mail

Good luck.

Also, I wrote a little program for writing 65c816 ASM: 65_IDE.exe Anyways, please post any questions you'd like answered or any additions/corrections you might have for this tutorial.

Sukasa: If you are still here, please make a fix. Because it requires AS_IFCE1.OCX. I looked for it on google and many websites said it's ''Bad for your PC!'' and is ''Malware''. After you fix it, upload it.

I tried everything, I tried using FCEUXD SP v1.07 (The newest version) and going to Debug and used the hex editor with the hex codes provided

I also modified the addresses useing the hex editor and finding the original address I put the modified code in, Using the ''Go here in ROM address'' button when you left-click, That part is OK. But the routine does not work!

I also revised it and removed opcode #60 (RTS), it does not work!

Anyone who does the SMB3 SMB1-Style Gold animation routine, Then post it here!

Also: Here is the NES Palette codes for the animation:

(Start) 27 27 27 17 07 17 (End)

I used 3CE45; The Tile animation starts here, The routine I put it in was the same, I expanded the animation ROM space using 20 10 9f (JSR 9F10)
Which was not enough space to put the whole ASM/HEX code in place,

These are why I needed an ASM coder to do something about!

I figured out that the OW music insertion binaries also included Source files

The *.JAVA files are included with the binaries!

(The *.JAVA files are the sources, NOT JAVASCRIPT. they are diffrent)

Links To the Sources (Although this is the same link as the Binaries):

http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=49&type=tools

Also; There is a Compiler that might compile these:

http://www.innovation.ch/java/java_compile.htm

With Instructions (Read First!):

http://www.innovation.ch/java/java_comp_instr.html

Good luck Translating Japanese!
