I've slowed down quite a bit; don't watch much and buy less, and then generally only if it's on sale.
I do own a fair number of DVDs, but nothing huge. I've got, er... Nine of twelve Aura Battler Dunbine DVDs Both DVDs of Zeorymer A couple of RahXephon volumes All of Shin (Change!!) Getter Robo (AKA Getter Robo Armageddon) All of Dai-Guard Half of Gundam 0080 All of Giant Robo (noticing a pattern yet?) For my non robot stuff, I've got Goemon ($3 per DVD, but it's kinda dumb) Read or Die OVA The Shinesman Spirited Away Haunted Junction Of these, Spirited Away and Shin (Change!!) are my favorites. The former 'cuz it's just a beautiful story, but the latter 'cuz they chop planets in half with a moon-sized Getter Tomahawk. Seriously, the action can't be beat. Need to finish Dunbine one of these days; it got really good then I ran out of DVDs |

First one was better. Had more charm, I guess. But yeah, Justice for All is decent enough.
Far as I know, Capcom's going to be bringing Gyakuten Saiban 3 to the 'States as well, so no worries on your hopes for a followup |

My wisdom teeth are still in. They probably won't have to come out, so I guess I got lucky.
On the subject of getting knocked out by drugs though, I remember when I went in to have my adenoids out. The gas they gave me knocked me cold in about five seconds. I remember actually trying to resist it some, too :p |

It's good, but you're tripping over your feet a bit too much for my liking. Your best lines are iambic, but quite a few seem disorganized; this causes the brain to stumble a little as it's reading.
In particular, where x is an unstressed syllable and / is stressed...
It's approximate, and I might have mismarked it once or twice, but I think you get the idea - the first two lines roll really well as iambic quatrameter (unstressed syllables followed by stressed) but the meter for the two lines that follow really seems haphazard. You can do as you like, but with the establishment of a particular metric form in the first lines, I would personally expect it to continue. Altering the number of feet per line is a fun trick which you can use to set segments apart. Lines 5 and 6 are a fantastic example of this - the switch from quatrameter to trimeter marks an interesting shift, giving the internal reader a mental pause, but the disorganization of the feet in the third and fourth line just rubs me the wrong way. Recommendation: Use more iambs! Alter the number of feet per line if you want to set something apart, but if you're establishing a particular metric structure early on, please do try to stick with it... unless you're deliberately deviating for effect, which I think can be better accomplished through the variation of the number of feet instead of the syllabic disorganization apparent in the third and fourth lines. I really like the rhymes you're using; it's just the structure what's off. |

It's a good read, that's for sure. I quite enjoyed it.
I never understand the people who claim that games like this have no replay value. They've got plenty - more than a lot of games - you just have to put six or more months between each replay. By then, the story's fresh, and it's like picking up an old favorite book again and rereading it. |

Ten years ago today, Dark Law was unleashed unto the Japanese masses. And now, to celebrate its tenth, Aeon Genesis has made it available in English for the first time! An unbelievable amount of work has gone into making this translation look as good as it possibly can, and I think it was worth it! Dark Law is essentially the Japanese interpretation of the pencil-and-paper RPG into a videogame format. The focus is rather heavy on exploration and light on combat, with copious amounts of storytelling thrown in for good measure. It, like Dark Lord before it, is told through a series of short stories ("Scenarios") which tie together by the final conclusion. It's a pretty cool game, on the whole. The patch is complete and should be bug-free. Enjoy! |

Some tips: first, make sure you create a full party at the beginning of the game. Even though you have to pick to start with just one of them, you can add two of the others to your team at the Lackadack.
Secondly, the frequency of the 1 result is based on your character's Aim stat. The higher this stat, the less often you'll inflict a glancing blow and the more often you'll land something solid. |

Needs more Cowboy Bebop. Bebop stands alone as one of the few shows that actually establishes a concrete world and operates within its own predefined rules. There's no bending of the laws of physics or characters suddenly getting stronger in a pinch, and after seeing so many instances of that, it's something I can really appreciate. The dub's also fantastic.
If you're into giant robots, I can't recommend Shin (Change!!) Getter Robo/Getter Robo Armageddon highly enough. It picks up almost immediately with fast-paced, high-powered action and does not let go until they've just about blown up the solar system in the end. I also enjoyed what I saw of Aura Battler Dunbine, but I'm missing some of the DVDs and so I haven't seen it to completion. It's also been a fairly long time, and I don't really remember what was so good about it. I'm currently in the middle of Turn-A Gundam (fansubs); it's decent enough, and a bit of a breath of fresh air if you've seen a lot of Gundam properties, but nothing especially groundbreaking. I like the character and world design, though, and it'll be interesting to see how it ends. Next on my list are Gundam X, Gungrave, and New Getter Robo, providing I can find downloads for New Getter :/ |

The Atari FF7 gif is really really old. I don't remember where it comes from. |

Posted by Sgraff87Posted by Koitenshin +∞ I'm afraid I can't really recommend Giant Robo. It's got its awesome moments, and there are quite a few of them, but an awful lot of it left me scratching my head going "What?" It felt like the middle of a series - that we were supposed to know everything about Big Fire and the Experts before the series started, and the ending is one massive freaking cliffhanger (one that will probably never be resolved.) It's alright, but it's not nearly all it's cracked up to be. |

Posted by Sgraff87 You mean other than Big Fire coming out of stasis in the last minute of the last episode, and the announcement of the "GR Project" by the BF Organization? :p |

Since all of the "exclusives" are jumping ship, I fully expect FF13 and MGS4 (and a possible FF7 remake) to do the same.
That leaves the only interesting PS3 exclusive as... Gundam Musou. Let's hope that jumps ship as well. |

At one point, when _I_ was in fifth grade, a bunch of the students... well, I guess they tried to rape other students? The weird thing was that there was no consent on either side - a bunch of 'em held the guy down and tried to force the girl on top of him :p
This is the kind of shit I grew up with :p |
