So here's something. I realized that the reason I always wore the item to not view post layouts is that a lot of post layouts just kinda suck, and blocklayout was never implemented here. But then I realized another thing! I'm an administrator! I can edit other people's profiles! I can just solve this entire problem myself. So I will!

Here are things that make a post layout bad:

1. They're offensively bright compared to the rest of the board. I don't want to be viewing the board and then suddenly OH MY GOD MY EYES.
2. Poor use of color contrast, for reasons rather similar to 1.
3. The layout itself is structurally broken, and it breaks the board's layout or images bleed into other people's posts.

When I do this, of course, I'll be sporting. If I delete your layout, I'll PM you and say why your layout was deleted, and what you can do to improve it. Most likely though, if it's not a problem with images, I'll do my best to improve it myself, and then PM you of any changes made. If it's a problem with images then I can't do anything about it and yeah.

Not that I intend to do this, but this is just a question out of curiosity: can you set it up so you use a certain layout depending on what the board theme is? As in, assign a layout to a board theme so that anyone viewing the board under that board theme would see your layout that is "designed" for it.

It would be pretty weird for someone's layout to depend on the board scheme, but if you wanted to, you could get creative with the CSS by knowing the name of each stylesheet and building on it uniquely. It is not something the board natively supports, though.

Standard: Super awesome, cool colors, faded, easy on the eyes, technically perfect
Alternate: Too hard
Everything by KP: Just a bit too bright... Best of the bunch is probably Blue Storm, that's pretty tolerable even if it is designed just like a more bad Standard.
Fish: Distracting
Minus World: Very nice, actually. My only complaint is that table borders are a bit bright, so it's not quite Standard level.
Acid: Clearly not meant to be used by administrators. Those dealies on the bars cover up Edit User. I'm not okay with that. (Also, they're ugly.) And it screws with the formatting for lots of layouts.
Daily Cycle: Usually not too bad. But, it's honestly really bland.
Fragmentation: Well-concieved. I like this one, too. It's very nearly as good as Standard, but some of the concepts are just... Not as calm. Also, near as I can tell, there's no difference between cold water and laggy cold water.
Desolation: It would be the one I use if it wasn't incredibly laggy.
