"Luigi's skidding physics have been restored, (thanks to ShaneM for informing me) and the red piranha plants & green spring boards have been restored, (again, thanks to ShaneM for informing me)"

Do you have the normal NES file for this corrected and most accurate version of the original Super Mario Bros 2 only released in Japan?

Also has anyone thought of making Super Mario All Stars onto an NES cart for collectors?

I have the pictures for the Super Mario All stars NES label and for the box also. I dont know if I placed the title part of the label properly so if someone could fix it that would help.

So there is no way to put this onto an NES cart? Or would it just cost more to have it done? I dont mind paying extra to have it made. I just need to know if it can in fact be done. Please let me know if it is possible and if it is possible please tell me what I have to buy to have someone put this onto an NES cart for me. Thank you.

I am not worried about the Super Mario World rom but I do want the Super Mario All Stars rom put onto an NES cart.

My all Stars rom works on Famicom and Nintendo.

You need an mmc5 board that supports 32kb's of sram, you need a 1mb chip for prg-rom, and another 1mb chip for chr-rom.

As to the actual flashing of the chips, soldering, etc, that's out of my hands, I have no idea how it's done. But there have been plenty of people who taken my all-stars project, and created cartridges of it.

That is amazing! I cannot wait until you have the next patch out so I can pay to have this put onto an NES cart. Do you have your version of Super Mario Bros 2J seperately? Because the version that I have is not up to date like the one you did with all the fixes you have done to it. I will pay you for whatever you need to be compensated for. You are without a doubt one of the greats if not the greatest in the rom hacking world.

heh, I'm farrrrrrrrr from the greatest, but I appreciate your kind remarks. :-) I'm waiting on results from someone with my debug version of Mario 3's irq. That's the only thing left before I submit my new patch.

Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan, I do not have separate. I did alot of work on this game specifically for the MMC5. I utilize the ExRAM $5C00-$5FFF for various functions to work.

Well in my eyes you are my hero because I am trying to get this NES cart made for my young children so they can have the best real gaming experience just as I did growing up.

I also need to know if any Super Mario Bros 3 rom works with no problems when applying your patch to it or is there a certain one that is needed?

Thanks again for all of your work! And let me know if you need anything. :>

Patch is applied to the PRG1 version of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Alright, thank you. I noticed in the intro after the background turns from blue to black and the Koopa Kids come out the music goes off beat. I dont know if you noticed that or can fix it but I noticed it a few days ago.

Thats great news! I cant wait! When I can I will donate some money to you for making this rom for everyone. I hope others have already done so because it is well deserved.

Thanks for the new update! I just loaded the rom and I let the entire intro play and when it got to the koopa kids coming out it locks up and it says CPU Jam. I dont know why but thats what it said and did. The emulator I am using is Nestopia140bin.

It happens each and every time on Nestopia. When I tried it on fceux it did not have the intro problem. When I tried it on fceugz for the nintendo Wii it did not have the intro problem but Super Mario 1 and Super Mario 2 J work fine when Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario Bros 3 work but only the sprites of the characters work properly as everything else is either letter and numbers or whacked out different colors. That has only happened on the fceugx on the Nintendo Wii. The problems are only appearing on the fceux and fceugx emulators. I just hope it doesnt cause any problems when putting onto an NES cart.

I will try and see if I can run the Nestopia on my Wii but I honestly do not now if it will work. If you know the proper NES emulator for the Nintendo Wii please let me know.

Also, I read up what you were saying about the irq thing for Super Mario Bros 3. So if I have this put on an NES cart it will not look right on Super Mario Bros 3 in which you were talking about? I am asking because I am going to have someone put it on a cart for me with your latest update but I dont know if it will be good enough as it seems you stated so about Super Mario Bros 3.

I installed retroarch but when I tried using my control all I could do is go up and down. I couldnt select any options as the a button, b button and any other buttons do not work. I am using a Nintendo Gamecube control. So I gave up because it shouldnt be that hard to operate the program. Unless you mnow how to get the controller to work.

Yeah, I love Nestopia man. I just want to get it working on my Wii for my kids so they can play your awesome Super Mario All-Stars. But I will just have to wait for it to be put on an NES cart. But I am worried now that the Super Mario Bros 3 will not be good enough.

When do you think that the problem for the Super Mario Bros 3 will be fixed? Thanks again for everything.

Dear infidelity, I have discovered that your "fix" on today, March 5, has broken Mario Bros. screen clearing of the phase 1 text, and the Pause menu. In addition, Mario Bros.'s pause menu no longer works properly. I recently discovered yesterday's build actually is able to humanly access the Mario bros. menu, but it takes a fast hand to immediately release the button. Its menu works fine. Please trip load yesterday's build for emulator users if you still have it. If you do not, I saved it and will upload it in this and a new thread with full credit to you and this thread. I also will upload my variant which has the intro edited to say Nintendo presents in the same graphics as Mario world's intro. The date will be changed to 1992. I have already made the patch series. Both use the same rom as yours.

Before I read your latest posted reply to me, I would have asked for extra SRAM saving for Mario Bros., but after reading it, I am holding off. Also I do not mean to offend you or steal credit by making my "Nintendo Presents" variant of the patch. Also, I would like to encourage Repro makers to use the March 4th build once it is reuploaded to fix the game. If I am the one uploading, I request that those building a repro use my "Nintendo Presents" version of the hack, copyrighted 1992, while crediting infidelity on the label and box art, plus the manual. Again, this is only to credit Nintendo for the Program and Character data in the patch.

I really like your idea for putting Nintendo Presents for this rom to give the original makers the credit they deserve. I would really like this version that you did with the newest patch of infideltys patch as all the issues with the Mario Bros Classic game has been fixed. Please let me know when you have it and please send me a link as well. This is mainly for my children so they have Super Mario All-Stars for their NES. Thank you!

Yeah, I agree there. infidelity has a good point because he didnt get paid to do any of this so it only makes sense to keep his name in it. Either way my kids will not know the difference because they play the game for Mario but more so for Princess Toadstool on Super Mario Bros 2. I am just happy this was done for the public and for my kids, so thank you for all of your hard work infidelity.

Can someone confirm if World 7-1 in Mario 2 USA repeats itself? I got a report of a user unable to bypass 7-1, leaving that game unbeatable.

I just tested Mario USA 2 and I had no problems of progressing from 7-1 on to 7-2. I used the warps to get there so I dont know if it may be different when not using warps but I dont think so but I could be wrong.
