Hey, Quick Curly, I forgot how I found this site  but I got to tell you I wonder myself why didn't anybody made a level hack of this game.
I know agave, remember I done a adventure island 3 level hack too http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2462/ Anyway there is something interesting too, something you didn't noticed this hack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiLaZSs5xbU is changing levels as well, pay attention look at stage 1-1 or 1-2, you see this levels anywhere in the original game? Is kinda annoying that the graphics are changed, but....you see these leads to second observation, if you change the hack to it's original graphic all the levels will look messed up (look at forest stage), so this really means the levels are changed in this hack, analyse it maybe you find something. I wanna share with you guys one of the best hacks ever.
A hack game of the old and good Ninja Gaiden turned into a Deadpool game. It haves: -new levels (structure & graphics) -new enemies (new graphics and mechanics) some imported from ninja gaiden 2 & 3 -new abilities (regeneration and teleport) -new stage 7 (original NGg1 had only 6 stages) with the best final boss -new music -new health bar (with Kills count and stage names) -new cut-scenes (new graphics and story mode) -many costumes for the hero (not only 1)
