It's good to see that you all are participating and not just shooting flames! Seriously, the flames get old.

Anyway, someone emailed me a link to this board so I figured I'd check it out.

What step are you guys on? Step 2?

Did you notice how the BS Zelda forums got hints? Why not you guys?

Here's a hint for you...

If you saw the symbol on step 2, then you probably looked up the story behind the Hojo clan from Japan. The tale is about a dragon who gave three scales (roughly). Three scales are three parts of the triforce, hidden in the picture are 3 3's. The 3 3's relate to the dragons... Valoo, who is supposed (maybe) related to Volvagia, who was once in a game mistakenly called Barba, from Zelda 2. Three dragons, three scales, what else is 3 related to the final dragon... Barba...

That's right, in Zelda 2 he was the boss of Palace 6, which is called ***.

Which leads us to ***.ratedo.com

Next step. Have fun.

NOTE: The End Date is NOT an actual end date, but a hint date. Everyone who finished step 3 by that date gets an extra FINAL hint. Can you do it?

Also, forgot to mention something.

Regarding sharing hints and steps...

Feel free!

But, do you really want to help other people win?

I know that whoever wins will probably share the rom, but I'd like to know that I won it, not I couldn't figure it out but was given it. Guess that's just me.

NOTE: No, there is no hint to step 4 in this post... or is there?

Let me just say this first off.

I encourage everyone to work together. Team work is really the best way to solve this kind of puzzle, much like the GAME 0VER contest Rated O had a few months ago. That one ended up taking almost 4 months to solve.

That wasn't meant to discourage anyone! You guys (and gals?) are doing much better in this contest than they did, so congrats!

To be completely honest, this step isn't hard, just a test to see who follows instructions.

Someone is almost right, just missing 2 parts.

HINT: What step are you on and what did I say last?

By the way, someone is on step 5! Has been for over a week.

If I'm the only one who could possibly solve this riddle, how is it that you guys/gals are on step 4? If I REALLY didn't want anyone to solve it, why would I site on two different forums NOT AT ALL RELATED TO MY SITE and give out hints?

That sure makes sense...

Anyways, this step IS NOT HARD! Simply follow the instructions. What have you been instructed to do in step 4?

I do appreciate you trying to make a connection with the two. Makes things interesting!

Adamant, that just got you one step closer to step 6 and you don't even know it!

By the way, someone from here just figured out step 4...

Let me just say this. The contest is meant to be hard. Very hard, So hard that you HAVE to ask for help. That's how I wanted it. Will that piss people off? More than likely. Should it? Not at all. If people REALLY wanted the rom, they'd ask about it, rather they should.

Is it too hard? No, not if you are actually serious about it. If you get stuck, ask me and I'll help, I have the entire time. If you refuse to ask for help or let me know that you don't understand something, then you must not be too concerned about winning. I can't help that.

Regarding the contest, someone has won but declined the prize. Whoever wins next will get the prize. I don't know why he declined it. Maybe he just wanted to say he won, I don't know. That can only be good you you guys though.

Remember, HAVE FUN. That's what you should be doing. It is a game after all.

Unless you received the email for step 5, this is going to be extremely difficult and confusing.

As for the steps, there are 6 total.

FINAL I referred to is receiving the rom, as in the final part of this contest.

It's up to everyone if they want to share the info they know. I'm allowing everything to be shared.

By the way, there is an end date.

You are confused about the hint. You HAVE the hint.

Once you understand the numbers, you'll understand what that means.

You doubt the winner declined the prize? Why? Does it really even matter?

If you're going to say that's just an excuse I made up to keep from having to give someone the rom, then why am I allowing another winner to get the rom? Interesting...

Anyways, all Project Zero prizes are $20 minimum value. Meaning you can take the prize or $20. He took the money, but I want someone to win the rom.

I really wish people would stop making lame excuses because they don't want to try to win the prize. And for those who ARE trying, such as Drag, GZilla, and Bomberman10, I'm glad you are willing to attempt the contest to get what you want. Do what it takes, right. No sense in complaining about it because, if you read the actual article and forum posts, it gets everyone nowhere.

Thanks for those who are playing and good luck!

About the numbers, THEY DO TRANSLATE TO WORDS. You just need to figure out how.

This will be my last post on this forum. All future hints will be posted in the Rated O Forums under the appropriate Project Zero topic.

I agree with XKeeper. Everyone was sharing answers, but now things are different. Most the emails I get aren't being discussed here, which makes me wonder if everyone decided to be greedy. If that's the case, no more hints will be given to everyone who emails me from here.

However, if you decide NOT to be greedy, I recommend you look at the latest news post on Rated O's main page.

I guarantee you, sharing info is the way to go at this point. And no, no one else (other than the previous winner) has given the correct answer yet. Once someone does, the contest will end.

Here's the last hint that will be posted here...

I know I said I wouldn't post here again, but I need to tell GZilla something.

When you sent me the zelda3proto.7z file, I didn't actually open it so I must apologize for not giving you a well deserved hint.

Regarding what you just posted, you are getting extremely close and I'm getting rather excited that someone might win the rom! I'm simply ecstatic that I might be giving the rom to someone deserving.

Anyways, that was VERY close, but you're not incorporating all of the hints...

Think hard, you've only got today and tomorrow!

Now wait just a second. Why must everyone jump the gun on EVERYTHING?! Supergun paid in full, that is true. I shipped the game to him via FedEx (the overnight option). However, I'm not sure what happened but he requested a refund. (the game doesn't work, remember it broke) HE GOT A REFUND AS WELL! I have all the receipts, paypal transactions, etc. to prove it.

I honestly don't know what happened to the game. Supergun and I have agreed to not discuss the catridges future for reasons of our own. But know this, we BOTH came through with what we promised. He received a refund simply because he was unhappy with receiving the game for one reason or another and I am an honest person.

There is NO REASON to get into other people's persosnal business (mine and Supergun's) for any reason. Yeah, I did join that forum and PM'd Supergun's "friend" with what really happened, but he never responded.

Get your facts straight.

Supergun DID get the cartridge! I have the FedEx delivery slip showing that he did!

Anyways, I'm not going to go over why it could or could not be what it is because we did that almost two years ago...

The ROM was the prize of the March 2007 contest. GZila won the April 2007 contest.
