It's slowing down, though as you can see, not entirely done yet. I'm sort of being a watchdog for us.

This request is kind of odd. I'd like a certain track. Don't know the name, but I can describe where it's normally found.

Game: Mega Man 2, from Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Location: Dr. Wily Castle Stage 1&2 in "Navi Mode"

*Gives finder an Internet*

I've noticed places on Yahoo get a lot of spam. Look at the guestbook for that GeoCities site of mine. Having a better homepage now, I rarely visit there.

And my bulk email folder has crappy stuff. "Gift card" offers, gray market pharmacies dealing in all those so-called 'enhancement' products like Viagra...

Haven't seen that type of spam on any forums though.

Wii, yes. PBR, no. I'm considering it.

If the game lasts me even half of the countless hours I've put into D/P... 187 on one file, 53 for another, a few more I didn't or couldn't count. A LOT nonetheless.

Flash carts most likely don't work on the Stadium games, if you can even find a GBC flash cart. The GBA one I have certainly doesn't link with Colo, Box, or XD.

In fact... All eReader cards and every GameCube (no idea about N64 ones) Pokemon game were region-locked as well. For example, a US GBA cart won't link to the Japanese Box.

But I don't see any practical reason DS slot1/slot2 flash carts shouldn't connect to PBR, or correctly pirated PBR discs not working.

Think about the economics. Given SMW's release date in Japan and Mario's mainstream popularity then, an NES one on that day instead would've still sold incredibly well. Most likely Nintendo considered it on paper. Despite little or no known development occurring. After all, true beta SMW screenshots resemble SMB3 more than the final game.

I'm having trouble with NES emulators, a few behave very odd... Especially considering SNES and N64 ones are fine.

Rocknes 5.00B2: Allows editing keyboard controls as usual. Crashes if I try to remap a gamepad.

Nestopia 1.37: Crashes upon entering full-screen mode. I've tried all sorts of things, it just won't cooperate.

Somehow FCEUXD SP 1.07 works correctly in both above areas. Good for me, not sure why it does. It's minimal filtering options mean the games could look better than they do.

Any other emus worth trying? I don't mind testing them out.

I'll go ahead and list a few system specs. Pentium D 805 @ approx 2.66ghz, Windows XP SP2, GeForce 7600GTS PCIe, 2GB RAM.

I LOVE using hq3x or hq4x. Probably the best looking filters I've found yet. But... Those two need tons of processing power. So I mainly use them for SNES, as I insist on having emus run full speed whenever possible.

The most demanding 2D game I've ever seen when it comes to emulators, is F-Zero Climax. Just about any filter bogs down that one fast.

CKY-2K: The last official FCEU has filters, it's spin-offs like XD SP don't aside from the one provided by most PC graphics cards that I can tell.

It'll be six years passed in August. An oldbie many people aren't aware is one, since I don't post too often. And yeah, I've gotten into battles of back-and-forth trolling with users before.

I got here shortly after Xk. IIRC, how he became admin was unusual.

I'm one of those people who decided not to take sides in that split. Did you hear about /b/ invading both boards? I suppose bizarre events help keep the place "alive", many forums fade out silently.

Good to meet you, or something.

Nice work! The lack of server downtime is amazing too.

Six years for me next month. I was staff at one Acmlmboard that's now offline. Who knows? A position here may open eventually.

Just got PBR. Bad news, guys! Unlike previous games which make no mention whatsoever of having a lockout, this one makes it clear right in the manual.

"The US version of Pokémon Battle Revolution cannot be connected with any other language versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl."

Source Engine tends to run well on older cards. Not so much for FEAR.

Do keep in mind that computer has 7.1 audio. 7.1 speaker sets may be scarce (compared to the common 5.1 models), but are definitely worth finding.

Here they are: http://acmlm.cjb.net:2/boardb/thread.php?user=534

The Homestead links quit working in late 2001, but that Geocities page remains sometimes updated despite largely being replaced.

Yeah, the SMW hack mentioned way back then is still in development. I'm quite slow at hacking...

Probably had dial-up and onboard video also. And to think I didn't even hear of Xk's existence until the third incarnation.

Looks nice. I tend to enjoy 6 more as far as the unhacked games are concerned though. So perhaps a little experimenting in 3-5 might be in order.

Haven't had good luck with editors for any NES game. Not to mention this computer actually emulates SNES and N64 better...

I've only bought one prebuilt "IBM-compatible" PC new: Back in 2000. It was a Slot-1 (ugh!) NEC PIII 500mhz with no AGP slot (year 2000 and no AGP, WTF?!). I didn't look at the price, hence I don't know how much that cost.

Despite not a single part remaining from it, my current build is still descended from there because I've swapped in and out countless hardware over the years.

No one knows. The European Diamond/Pearl haven't "gone gold" and been sent off to mass-production yet, let alone been released on retail shelves.
