*Gasp!* I'm actually posting in this part of the boards.

Look. It took a lot out of my pencils doing fancier work than usual. Maybe because the tips wanted to break while sharpening them.

The image is quite large, it won't fit on your monitor all at once if viewed actual size.

Dunno. It says on his site he needed to restore data from a backup because of hard drive failure. Sounds like it'll take a long time for things to get organized.

Now, how I found Acmlm's... Well! I started my SMW hack in 2001, which is still in development even today. It was later in that year I'd stumbled upon the ROM Hack Domain. I wasn't really interested in playing hacks, so instead I registered presumably to get suggestions for mine.

Oblivious to the whole 'split', I'd made a post or two on the very last day of the third incarnation (those are on ||bass's archive). I soon noticed the board went down. Then ||board showed up a short time later on that same URL. Of course, I registered. No one told me right away about this place however.

Some time afterward I gotten word of another board. I lurked on it a few days, being skeptical about the "Acmlm's Board II" idea. I eventually make an account here. Therefore I remain neutral, posting as usual on both sides of the split.

Mine is basic, I use it because of how long I've been a member here.

I own a Supercard CF myself. No "excellent" GBA-capable device exists however. Various common potential issues include the lack of saving in Pokemon FR/LG/Emerald, missing solar sensor, inability to properly run games like Wario Ware Twisted, etc.

From what I've heard, M3 is widely praised and currently the best at GBA.

Yeah. The UPS van just dropped off items. I'll be logged out for a while, so wish me luck. It's from Newegg. Here's what they are:

JetWay Socket 775 motherboard.
Pentium D 805 2.6ghz.
1GB DDR2 667mhz.
Guild Wars Factions. (free gift)

I'll let you know how this compares to the current setup.

Um, well... I ran into odd snafus. That CPU didn't come with a fan as I'd intended, but the fan I got later was the wrong type. Doesn't fit Socket 775. And furthermore, my current primary computer had been left in someone's car so now I can't access it without said vehicle present. So... I'm for now using the spare computer. A Umax Supermac running Mac OS 9 (barfs, I want OS X!) and a G3 processor.

Mine's obvious too. I usually pronounce "theclaw" as if it doesn't contain a space, and "The Claw" as if it does.

Most likely Diamond. I've played the Japanese Pearl, and will want Diamond to get those exclusive Pokemon. Note: For the first time in Pokemon history, D/P are actually smaller in ROM size than their original release. As more experienced fans know, this is quite unusual.

Hello, Uncle Elmo. You may not remember me, but I've been on Acmlm's Board with this exact name since back in 2001 also.

That's not all... Colosseum, XD, Box, and the e-Reader were region-locked too! A GBA game absolutely CANNOT link to any of these from another region. I hope Nintendo doesn't screw up and make Battle Revolution locked also.

Anyway. I have three D/P save files. The Japanese Pearl one, which was started in September. It's strongest Pokemon is a level 57 Palkia. The rest of my Elite Four team is around level 45.

Next is the US Diamond. I've got 2 badges in it. My Pokemon are about level 17, except for the level 29 Alakazam I traded for.

Last is a legit US Pearl. No badges here. None of the caught Pokemon on it are even level 10 yet.

You can view the friend codes I've gotten here since I don't feel like typing them up again.

Correct. DStoDS and GBAtoGBA multiplayer is global, except for the e-Reader.

Interesting, how about a patch putting the original sound effects in All-Stars? That would be a dream come true. Good or otherwise, SMW sounds do NOT belong in the NES conversions.

Wow, good link. I only posted a few times in the Story Forum all these years. I believe my last post on the Third Incarnation was there, but that day's archive is gone. Luckily I'd reposted it here (the Wacky Magikoopas one).

Bouche sometimes talks in esper.net's #rom-hacking, I haven't seen him in any other channels so far.

I got Internet access early 2000, right before Pokemon Stadium was released here. I should still have printed out previews of the game from Nintendo's site dated March in my file cabinet.

I have good news for flash cart owners. The US and Japanese save files are compatible! Just like Kirby Squeak Squad, in case anyone's curious. You don't have to start over. Keep the save file as-is, move off the Japan ROM, and put back a US ROM named to match said save. All Pokemon and box names will remain intact, so it might be a good idea to see the Name Rater afterward. Your friend code doesn't get changed either.

Yeah, I see a changed banner up above. Funny. I'm not aware of any specific bugs this board version has, but it's neat still.

Acmlm was booted? Odd. Apparently, "!2na dice 1dMissingno" is OK yet "!2na dice 1dXbox360" leads to instant k+b.

10? 10...?? So THAT'S what really happened. Bit by a typo. I haven't heard of an 'undo' or spell check feature in IRC, nor do I know how to access the chat logs. But, yeah. Rolling Missingno is funny since it's a real glitch. Xbox 360s are outright pointless.

Out of curiousity, do the current major web browsers all still fail a download when one reaches 4GB? I recall running into that issue last year somewhere. Probably downloading full Linux distros. I know I could successfully get files that large via torrent.
