I was during incarnations 1, 2, and 3. Including the split. It wasn't anywhere near this bad from what I could tell. Rather: posting normally one day, then suddenly the board is down.
But that's also an official split. There had been marginal agreement it would happen. This time it's more like a gesture of protest against the new administration here. ____________________ |

 Nice. Strategy games are a good thing. I'm just not into most brain training or minigame collections.
I wonder how much of it's unit/terrain graphics, and soundtrack, will be literally identical to the GBA ones this time? ____________________ |

Good question. I believe the 3rd and 4th gen games handle what happens when only 1 Pokemon on a team is knocked out mid-turn in double battles differently.
IIRC... In 3rd gen games, your opponent would immediately have to switch in a replacement and the replacement would be attacked if you'd targeted that side with both of yours. While 4th gen games, your attack gets moved to the other target, and the replacement doesn't switch in until between turns. Edit: I know for certain the latter is how Pokemon Battle Revolution is. I'm not sure about Diamond/Pearl though. ____________________ |

The Pokemon games are worth hacking and some are well-documented.
I think if we keep noobs away (which was a main reason Pokemon hacks declined to begin with), there's lots of potential serious hackers could achieve with them. ____________________ |

Posted by Kles You've finally hit the head of a problem with the majority of forums! There's no direct means in place for standard users to: 1. Elect staff. 2. Vote on changes to layout, functionality, etc.. 3. Get mods and admins who abuse or neglect their power removed. Instead, a small group of generally 1-5 holds all ability to make significant decisions. That fact is not sustainable in the real world. There has to be checks and balances to keep authority from becoming overly biased. ____________________ |

Yeah, unfortunately. Most users don't take such things seriously. Assuming they care at all. This makes #3 the most relevant point.
Disgarding why everything happened, that doesn't matter. Fact is... We had a popular admin removed/leave, while current ones are questionable in the eyes of certain members. ____________________ |
