Hello everyone. I was just lurking around. Decided I may as well register having been on these boards a long time anyway.
One 'WTF' thing I saw is how Pokemon Red/Blue/Gold/Silver/Ruby/Sapphire were all exactly doubled in ROM size in every non-Japanese cartridge. Notice that only these specific versions were doubled during translation, none of the 'extra' ones like Yellow for example. Another discovery I'd made is that the original Japanese release of Pokemon Green has no wild encounters whatsoever on the Cinnabar or Seafoam coasts. A miniscule difference in technical terms, but very significant to players. Oh, and here is something few people know the full story about. Controller rumble was entirely removed from all games in Mega Man Anniversary Collection and Mega Man X Collection which had it on the PSone. Including all in-game references to said feature. Several, if not every, game in the Complete Works series had it. As well as Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6 on PSone. Also, the incredible PC conversion of Mega Man X8 is the only Mega Man game on that platform to feature rumble. ____________________  |

How many are there? I mean, something not officially ported to or from any other platform such as Super Mario Sunshine. And no... I'm not talking like Chaos Field which was on different systems in certain regions either.

This one is way-old, but it'll do.
Changes in current state: No DSL modem due to now using cable Internet. Different PC speaker set, Labtec 5.1 instead of mixed brands which sounded terrible. N64 moved into another room. Xbox 360 added. File cabinet moved into the hallway, because I kept bumping my knee on it when using the computer. Different keyboard and TV set, the PS2 is now set up vertical. ____________________ |

Note: I am reposting this because I was unlucky enough to have posted it the very same day the board split, and it was gone before a single reply could be made.
Setting: The Magikoopa tribe has gone insane! They've transformed Bowser's castle into a wrestling arena, Yoshi's Island became an amusement park, Mario's house into an stock car speedway, and more. Luigi is also nowhere to be found. But, he's the only one able to stop all this chaos! What will Mario and the various heroes do?? Characters: Mario - No details needed, we all know about him. Bowser - Furious! He wants those Magikoopas back under his command. Luigi - Missing... Clarise - An original character. Being Peach's sister, she is a princess. Loves to wear swimsuits and other minimal outfits. Cammilla - Also original, she's native to the Pokemon world. Only has a few caught though. Wizaldonite - Made just for this story. The elderly, maniacal, and scatterbrained Magikoopa chief. Rules: Mainly, be somewhat consistant with each person's personality once one gets established. Aside from the Magikoopas of course. A huge jolt hits the Mario residence. He can be heard shouting, "My house has already been transformed! What IS all the racket now!?" Two gorgeous ladies run up to him. One has smooth, flowing, light brown hair. The other a naturally golden blonde ponytail. Mario starts yelling at them, "Princess Clarise? What are you doing here? Don't dare try asking me out!" The brown-haired woman (Clarise) points toward a wooden object up above. It has many propellers spinning around, along with wrench tossing punks and bizarre icicle cannons. Cammilla dodges several of the icicles. Luckily her Machop appears, breaking them before they can turn around using their homing ability. Soon the ship's bridge door opens. One seriously famished looking old Magikoopa stumbles out. He gets on a megaphone and declares, "MUHAHAHA!!! I AM THE GREAT WIZALDONITE! MY MAGICAL FORCE FIELD WILL...". Unforunate for him, his teeth fall off mid-sentence. Bowser appears fast enough to grab them. Mario begins freaking out, unsure of what he should do. "Now! After those dentures!", both Cammilla and Wizaldonite say at the same time. Tip: Keep the wrestling arena, amusement park, and stock car speedway in mind. They might be fun for experimenting around until they are returned to their proper form. ____________________ |

Out of curiousity... How does one build a community on the Internet? I mean... An empty Xbox Live friends list, my YIM list has one person, I have no clue how to get party members in Guild Wars, my forums have like three members (none of which are active), my wiki has literally only myself, and so on.
I know for certain I'm stretching things too thin either way. Having accounts on far too many forums, games, sites, etc. I honestly couldn't possibly hold a conversation on such a large number of places. I'll probably start giving away some of my less useful accounts to those who can benefit from them! Let me know if you want any. I've got a spare Yahoo ID for example. At least that means in the rare event I am asked to help, I have a huge amount of time. How about I log onto IRC? I'm not sure what the main Acmlm channel or server is anymore though. ____________________ |

I suppose one thing is the lack of relevant topics to discuss. Who else besides me would know the in-universe history of most of my characters for instance? Or the storyline in the RPG Maker game I'm working on which isn't even released yet? Exactly.
But, I'm aware of it. Which is why for instance ROM hacking is also a major topic on my pages. At least that may be able to draw some conversation. After all, the wiki page on the SMW hack has a downloadable demo patch. I managed to get onto #rohmacking, so I'm there as I post this. Something else is my legitimate lack of talent in just about everything. I'm skilled at designing SMW levels somewhat, though can't do the overworld at all. Then again... I am disabled according to whatever mysterious criteria the federal government uses. Of course, they aren't by any stretch 'trustworthy'. It's little known that I'm intensely anti-government. Hey, it feels good to vent like this. People get to know more about me, and I can talk about such things without being off-topic or a troll. ____________________ |

I was surprised to see a Darth Vader style helmet selectable for your created wrestlers in one or two of the WWE games.
I'd like seeing a Zelda 1 and Zelda 2 retranslation. It can't be that difficult, considering how well-documented they are. ____________________ |
