Here's another addendum patch. This one is for 4.0 of course.

Fixes:

v1.0
- Added 2 white boulders to the upper right screen to prevent the player from walking down into solid blocks on the next screen to the left.
- Fixed a wrong tile in the mountains.
- Added missing tiles around one of the log entrances in the Dry Forest Area.

Nice! Looks like a pretty dangerous enemy, too.
Gods know how often I jump up onto pipe edges knowing that if the piranha plant comes up as I'm jumping I'll be safe.

Mega Man 5 Logo Hack based on MM9/MM10 Style.

New Text Logo "MEGA" based on MM9/10, not custom draw text "MEGA" like Wily Wars or Insectduel's MM4DLC (MM4 Hack).
Original Text Logo "MAN" in Rockman or Mega Man 9 & 10, Wily Wars.

Unused Sprite Data Letter "N" in Mega Man 5 Title Screen the US version.
ROM Offset at x02ECAA. Changed Hex F8 (All 3 Numbers) to 2F (1), 37 (2), 3F (3).

Download IPS Patch MM9/MM10 Logo Style for Mega Man 5 here.
Patch to US version NOT PAL version.

Edit HP Damage Enemy like Met, Batton, Fan Fiend, 8 Robot Masters etc in Rockman 2. NOT Mega Man 2.
ROM Offset HP Damage Enemy via Hex Editor?


That's cool. I wonder why no one has ever done this before. Now I'd like to see it done for all 6 games.

The only things I'd do is:
-Expand HP and MP by 1 digit each.
(Easy for HP since it must already use 2 bytes, harder for MP since it probably only uses 1.)
-Add more equipment and some new items to offset the larger amounts of HP & MP.
-Add weapons shops with 3 new weapons for each weapon level and each type of weapon.
(E.G- there would be 3 level 1 swords besides the Rusty Sword, 3 level 4 whips, etc.)
(This would also Allow multiple characters to use the same weapon type at once.)
-Weapon orbs are now used to create a unique weapon for each level and type of weapon.
(E.G- to get the Dragon Lance you need one spear weapon orb and 1 each of the generic level 8 spears.)
-Expanded areas to fit together and match the overworld better,
-Add new areas as bonus content in overworld areas that are "barren".
-And, of course, restore as much beta content as possible.

I just gave it a try and perused your code.
Not bad.
Could use some tidying up and optimization, but not bad.

I tried making a Megaman engine a few years ago that didn't turn out so good.
However, I think I finally have a really good understanding of why I was having so much trouble before. You've inspired me to give it another shot as soon as I finish my current project.

Beg pardon? RushJet1 makes his remixes in VRC6.


He makes them in FamiTracker, not in the actual games. FamiTracker has it's own complete emulation of the VRC6's audio capabilities, but the format is different so you couldn't even insert his remixes into any given VRC6 based game since they all use their own data formats.

I can do that. This is what things look like so far.
Using my "megaman 3 improvement" hack as the "base"
Rom is upgraded to 768 KB for more graphics and coding space.

Still MMC3 mapper, dont have to change that at all whatsoever, just leaving it as it is.

Do you wish for it to continue ?? Or not neccessary ?

(i stopped now cause this was just a test, this loads immediately after the nintendo capcom screen)

I revised the intro script, because lore is good.

"It is the year 20XX. After being defeated twice by Megaman,
the villian Dr. Albert W. Wily finally came to his senses and
realised what the terror he caused to the world in his rivality rivalry
against with Dr. Thomas Light."

"Now reformed and willing to atone for his misdeeds Dr. Wily
rejoined Dr. Light to help him on with the his new project, "Gamma",
the gigantic peace-keeping robot. It was the long time dream
of his friend to preserve world peace and Gamma was the means to it."

which were sent to uncharted planets in order to mine the newly

I realised, that the characters need some work

So I will fix, the graphics.


Consider maybe changing the part with Rush Jet to the Rush space ship from the GB games as it makes more sense in the context of the game.
