Version: 1.0 Last updated: September 7, 2012 BBHack - Earthbound Zero Hacking Tool I know Earthbound Zero isn't nearly as popular as the other two games in this series (especially Earthbound), but I've always wanted to see more than simple graphic/text hacks of this game. So, I made this editor, and I intend to continue working on it for quite some time. Annoyed with how laggy map/tile editing was in the past with JHack, I made sure to make this editor better in that regard. Of course, it has _some_ lag, but there are huge improvements. If anyone has ever wanted to make a full hack of EB0, this editor will soon allow you to do just that without messing around with a hex editor. For now, it's just a simple map & tile editor, but hey, map editing is one of the most important parts of a full length hack. Features:
If anyone finds any bugs, has requests for features, or has discovered more data in the EB0 ROM, please let me know! |

@Googie: Fixed. Use the new download link.
Sorry about that, it was my fault - I didn't compile it to be compatible with earlier versions of Java. Also, glad to see someone who's interested |

Heh, I meant just to re-download it. I simply updated the old download link. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
And yes, as a matter of fact, this editor does work with every single playable area in the game (even including the room with the blue light aura when you die, AKA the death scene). The maps are actually stored as one giant map rather than being separate, and while in-game, you can only view map areas which have the same palette as the one you're in (it sounds hard to work with, but it's actually not). |

Posted by Lunaria Er, thanks? I changed the image back... it was working fine until you made it link to their page, which made it not show up. We call it Earthbound 0 because Earthbound was the name for the official localized version. So if you want to be that stupid and nit-picky you'd be calling Mother 1 and 2 Earthbound and Earthbound. Mother is the Japanese version - this tool will not work with the Japanese version in the future. Your comment seems pretty worthless off-topic and to be honest... |

Posted by Lunaria Do you know if it's easy to update your submission and edit the description after you've submitted it? Just wondering if it's one of those one-time submission deals. |
