Maybe they uncompressed the graphics from DDP and forgot to recompress them for SMB2.

I play pokemon because it's something to do and it's fun. Also, I forgot the websites mentioned earlier and figured someone would post them if I said that (though I was serious in that I didn't know about the new evo for porygon). And yes, I am too lazy to search the thread for the sites .
