Fixed.

As for the boss, it's quite good. I'm not sure why you made the rectangle bricks appear along the shield, as you can't shoot through it, and I never had cause to actually try and run outside it anyway, but that's not really bad or anything. I don't know what "PSF Fortress" stands for ("Pretty Shiny First Fortress"? ) durr it's your username . It's pretty easy, though I stupidly ran into a bunch of bullets a couple times (erm, oops...). All-in-all, 7.5.8/10.

In bosses that I make, I force the rank of the parts, it doesn't matter which rank the player chooses to play at. This allows me to playtest it at any rank without worrying about something strange happening if someone doesn't play it at a certain rank.

Those are the newest versions, the ones with "beta" in the name. 20090204d is really damn old (Feb 4th, as the filename implies). I dunno why he started marking them "beta" and such, but oh well.

Heh, it helps to be in IRC where you can see post reports (or just browsing the board at the right time).

Anyway, the editor has a "Frame Increment" feature, which is very useful (and would've helped you ), type a number in the input field above the "frame" button (which itself is near the bottom of the Tool window), then click it and poof! you've advanced X frames (where X = number you put in the input field).

There used to be an "Acmlm Wiki" but I don't know what happened to it. If anyone has a copy of it or something, it had some information on it that would help this "project", if it goes anywhere.

Er, you can't use Gamemaker to create a Mario3 hack, it's not a hacking tool. You would be creating a new game, though you could copy the Mario3 physics and graphics and make it look like a Mario hack, but that'd be way more work than just hacking the game itself with something like M3W. More work than it's worth, probably.

Er, not supporting 98SE can't be that big of a con, almost no one uses anything older than Win2k. And, if 6.1 doesn't support Vista/Win7, then use GM7..?

Edit: Also, based on that video, it looks like it plays really slowly in GM.

I like having the 360 degree area view, don't get me wrong, but a vertical fix like this looks cool.
To expand on the "Make a Try" suggestion, use the "PLAYERANGLE" command in conjunction with the "AREAFIXED" command and set "PLAYERANGLE" to 0 to make the playership always face up.
Example code:
"AREAFIXED",1
"PLAYERANGLE",0,1

Eh, I use Google Chrome too. Opera is nice, and just about as fast, but Chrome has a larger area for viewing websites.

I think Mon looks at our wishlists from time to time, adding the ideas that seem most feasible, or at least the ones that can be google-translated to japanese; I'm not sure if he knows English or not. I know we used to have a member, Zeta, who emailed with him occasionally.
