Hi, I am an italian hacker (maybe the first) who is making a Mega Man 2 hack (I already described it in Datacrystal: http://datacrystal.org/wiki/Mega_Man_Regeneration). I have Windows Vista and on my pc the editor Visine doesn't operate; I need a program for changing the weakness of each robot master. Is there anyone who can help me?

Because of I am italian, don't speak in a too difficult english, please.
Thanks.

I used FCEUX to find weaknesses through any MegaMan game (MM4 and MM2 which you can't edit through editors)

Then if FCEUX allow me only the discovery of the several weaknesses, and you advise against VISINE, what program i have to use? I'm forced to use a hex editor, which is a no specific program for Mega Man?

Thanks for Infidelity and other people's answers.

I can't do anything until 2 to 3 weeks or even next month.

I knew it, i visit often your website and your Youtube's channel. Then I'll try to improve anyway my hack with quite a lot zeal. Forgive the little inacurracy of my english. However, if someone wanted help me for some changes, i would be available.

P.S: Is not Rockman Y a 2009 Mega Man Hack? You didn't insert it in your poll.

I don't want steal personal musics of other hackers, but musics of other games that some hackers inserted in their hacks, like the 8 bit version of some Mega Man X musics, or musics from other nes games; i would steal them from the MM2 hacks because i don't know which are the real games where these music come from.

Hi, I am Manu89, the italian creator of Mega Man Regeneration, a Mega Man 2 hack in progress. I am finishing all the modifies of my hack, but I have some difficulties to make the most important changing that i wanted: I want to change the sprites of the eight robot master into Doc Robot's sprites, with the movements that the last have in Mega Man 3. Is there anyone available for a little collaboration?
Thanks.

I have total inexperience in sprite's changing (sprites and scrolling are the only things that i couldn't modify). A my collaborator modifeid some tiles in the stage select, but he said me that he is not very able to change sprites. Do you know some hacker very able in this? I thinked to Chiko (he is always very quick to realize hacks and we know it) but i didn't found his contacts; morever, he is japanese and the comunication would be hard. Anyway, how much time is necessary to change the several sprites?

I discovered that the robot's sprites don't have the same number of tiles, and I don't know how to resolve the problem (I can't apply the tiles of Doc Robots because the space is limited, especially for "slim" robots like Metal Man). May someone help me doing these modifications?

Do you know a hacker free in this period? I haven't the capacity for this work. The sprites' changing is the most important modification that i wanted to apply to the rom.

Praetarius, I played only two levels of the game (Top Man's stage and Wily's Stage 1) to try it consideriing its bad fame, and I learned immediately that you didn't value several aspects for making a good hack.
It's simple: you only thinked to render your game very difficult, inserting a lot of traps and obstacles (too many) to the detriment of the amusement and the entertainment. You must reason: how can a player be interested to play a game not involving? In your hack there are only spikes, too strong enemies ecc. The only good thing I found is that you can lengthen the stages (I saw it in Wily's Stage 1, I ignore if you did it elsewhere too). In the whole your hack is very poor (also graphic modifies are often imperfect); anyway, you have good competences in rom hacking: you can try to create a new hack starting from scratch, but remember that the quality of a game isn't directly proportional to its difficult.

OT: Thanatos-Zero, I sent a mail to your address.

Praetarius, a good hack is immediately recognizable. You don't get upset about my comment: anyway, I underline that I have judged your game, not you. Starting from scratch you could make a new very good hack, but the current is not involving because of several reasons, like obviously the extreme difficulty; It seems that rather than Mega Man the person who was against the world were you when you hacked the game!

Have you ever thinked to compare mentally your hack with others?

Don't warry Insectduel. I discovered that editor some days ago, but I am not very able to use it...
Anyway, I know that Thanatos Zero is great in this sector; I also played some hacks in which there is his participation (Mega Man Forever, for example).

I don't understand exactly which informations you want. I want to substitute robot masters' sprites into Doc Robots' sprites, but I don't know absolutely how insert the sprites from a spritesheet into the rom. I don't know anything about this argument. I only know that the dimension of robot master's sprites is different from Doc Robot's.

I already tried it Kujakiller, and It's the one reason so I know that the sprite's dimension of robot masters in Mega Man 2 is different from Doc Robot's in Mega Man 3. I need someone able to resolve this problem. I know that it's possible because in several hack i saw it and for example in Rockman No Constancy (If i don't remember badly) the dimensions of weapon's tiles are diferent from original game.

Thanatos, maybe I wasn't very definite. I don't want to create new sprites, but use the normal sprites of the Doc robot's and replace the Robot Mater's sprites of Mega Man 2 with them. Are you capable to do it? Do you need the rom to do it?

I understand what you mean, Thanatos. Don't worry! Anyway, the sprite of a Doc Robot is always bigger than a sprite of a normal robot master because requires more tiles; this was my problem: the tiles of robot master's sprites are insufficient for inserting all Doc Robots' tiles. Who is the hacker who has the better knowledge in this? Matrixz? Infidelity? I know they are always busy yet...
