I'm the original author of the editor. The short answer is I got burned out on the project and haven't looked at it for ages (probably years).

But I've decided to dig it out again since there is still obviously interest out there for it. I've set up a project hosting slot at http://barf09.googlecode.com/ - don't expect too much yet, I haven't got much to show at the moment, I literally just set it up. I have to sort out the old code (it was split up into a bunch of different things that I never quite got into one big editor). I'll also try to get some of the stuff I worked out about the ROM in the Wiki on there.
