Got a dumb idea....
What about a MM3 "Complete" Hack, with intro, new music, more stages, something like MegaMan 3 Beta Remake.

I had something similiar in mind, like to make Megaman 3 to the one game, which should have been in the first place.
Back then, when Rockman 3 was still under development Keiji Inafune and his team were unable to finish the game properly because of the deadline CoJ set up.
Due this we got the Megaman 3 we all know and love, which was still flawed because many things were not there like a proper intro and a story which explains why this and that happens in the game. Still even without those things the game is still fun, but we could do now what dear Inafune did not. Namely to finish the game which was supposed to be in the first place.

I know that a few do not like to see a Megaman hack after a Megaman hack, but wouldn't this be actually a whorthy cause for any fan? To finish what was supposed to be finished?

When I have learned C#, C++ and the 6502 assembler language in the future, I will take care of it, until of course someone other will do it the meantime. However, it is necessary that we need to get input from Keiji Inafune himself in order to finish it properly, as we lack the information how Wily worked with Light again in the first place.

Luckily, Gil Galad made the source code of Megaman 3 available for all of us.

Hmm, its quite amazing of what I see and currently can grasp from reading some of the notes in the .rar files.
Well I continue with my self training in perl and some other things I am updating myself with. I am somewhat in your shoes, but no where near your skill levels.

I wont speculate on it, but I am betting wily had other agendas in mind other than making the peace keeping robot.

Knowing wily he had some secret agendas of his own.
1.Probably wanted some notes from Thomas Light. to update his reploids,
2.find out why protoman had that internal problem.
3.and possibly some other junk that started up when Mega Man 5 came out.

Like capcom wiki said, Wily was always jelly of Dr.Light, but he always had a ace card that almost did what he always wanted, but failed in the end.

Always did like the mega man series, good game play, but the whole story itself will keep you guessing until your old man 40 years later.


I will ask the respective loremasters of Rockman before we jump to any conclusions.

One mistake from your side, the term reploid didn't exist in 20XX. The term robot was always used.

New version coming soon. Most of the unit IDs are actually drawn using game's sprite data. Also, it will support the Japanese version of Bionic Commando (it will come with a 2nd EXE for that ROM). The Jap. version (Top Secret - Hitler's Revival) is rather different, by the way.

While we are on it Infidelity, do you think you could make the game look more like LA, OoS and OoA? As I recall those GB games were very impressive. The 2D segments for the caves/passages/dungeons had a nice feeling to the gameplay.

Oh that gave me to think. Any plans to hack Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link in the future?

It has been quite some time. Some of you were surely asking what happened with the Megaman Odyssey Project. It has been halted due Kujakiller's new occupation, which made him quite the workaholic. His interrests shifted and if I speak with him about our project, he doesn't want anything to do with it. All my encouragement in order to motivate him failed, but that has mostly to do with his low self-esteem and his regrets to not be able to finish it in time. Because of said regrets, he un-offically cancelled the game.

Would I have only known sooner of his project back in 2005, we would have been able to progress much faster, since I have now a bunch of new friends who would do anything for him.

Still, if you want to change Kujakiller's mind about the project, leave here a message for him. Perhaps if you all encourage him, it might move him.
I would love to continue to work for him.

Still, as long as Kujakiller is too tired of the project to continue, you can only do some ground work. Ask Megaman-Omega if he has said work for you.

A feedback to this post I would really enjoy.


This kind of room is nice, however the lava in this picture wasn't really made for to interact with, but to see it from a higher level. As for really good lava I recommend this.

Zelda Classic's community has made alot of different tiles, which may or not be fitting for Prophet of Chaos. If you decide to use the custom made graphics, do not forget to credit them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what gfx I can throw in this game! I'm seriously considering Link's Awakening after what I did in the test screen.

I may also consider into looking in using the ExRAM that MMC5 uses. I was messing around with making 1 8x8 tile have it's own attribute, instead of 16x16. Getting tooooo fancy with that, plus idk how i would make that work for all areas in the game.

But i did sure like how the trees looked when i tested the ExRAM! :-p


Just do not the same mistake as you worked back on Megaman Ultra 2, okay? If you lose interrest make a break of two weeks and so, but please do not force yourself that much.
I do not wish that a project of us here, dies again.
First Ultra 2, then Forever and then after many struggles Odyssey (on which I haven't given up yet, because there is still a chance to collaburate with Puresabre. The chances are small but still I want to do it for Kuja Killer).

Infidelity, if you need help do not be afraid to ask. Since I have regained motivation and enough time, make graphic requests if you wish. Thanks to KK I can work just fine with the colour limitations on tiles and sprites alike.

The GunVolt Mk.II is as you can see prepairing himself with practice exercises for the game he is going to be in.

Also, this is NOT a edit, but a redrawn sprite.

Edit:First attack graphics done.


Edit2: Sprite sheet updated. I have fixed the upper leg positions and the shading. I have also added the next attack graphics.

Have you tried out the recently released japanese Rockman ROM with the MMC6 mapper?
I think with this you have more options at your disposal.

Well this special mapper can do almost ANYTHING! Just apply the IPS patch into Rockman 1 and your rom will turn your original 128KB into 512KB. That's 4 times the original size. Other Rockman roms have the 512KB size is Rockman 4, 5, & 6.

It's also tested with Mega Man (U) version but so far I haven't experience any lockdowns or any crashes during play so it's best not to use any Mega Man versions unless you create your own mapper without patching.

Also, if you're making levels and you wanted to extend or customize TSA blocks like with Rockman 3 through 6, I suggest you code it or design your Rockman 1 editor that has the same features as MEGAFLE X.

Unfortunately, you have to be elite experienced if you want those options! Or just create your PC Mega Man game if ROM-Hacking isn't your skill. The rom patch is created by Ririka Starlight and I'm not sure if is public release.

However, it does not guarantee that I'll be making future major Rockman 1 projects.

The reason why I recorded this on desktop is to prove that I'm not lying what I said and I'm sorry if my video is too lag. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MMC6 ROM EXPANSION! IT IS THE VIDEO DESKTOP RECORDER THAT IS MAKING THE VIDEO LAG.

That will change with the time, in 10 years or less you should be over Puresabe's skills on condition, that you keep trying on making hacks and later even own games.

MAH BOI! Nothing is new under the sun. Rockman 2 had that idea in the gameplay, before he or others came. If you use the ideas of others, credit them by making them immortal in the game credits.

Just wanted everyone to know ive been constructing the Light World. Im about 50% complete in designing that. Im also looking at the realization that i may need to incorporate the Awakening sprite designs. The outdated sprites dont do the bg gfx justice.

Indeed they do look outdated and with MMC5 mapper more things are possible, like to colour 8x8 tiles with their own palette and have more sound channels available.

I can see what you mean. What was a vast asm hack of Zelda1, is almost turning into a LA fan remake. Ill be sending you an updated .ips and ill explain where im going with this. I want to keep the original Zelda1 sprites, i might have to talk to Thanatos.

Here I come into play. CUSTOM made sprites and tiles for the game? No problem, I am currently free for you to use.

This is exactly what i didnt want happening. In the beginning i wanted to stay true to the original design. Im going to take a step back for a few days and re-think. I dont want this game to be a clone of LA, but i do want to improve the gfx of Zelda1.

That can be avoided by adding foreign elements into the game. By doing this it will become a child, but not a clone of LA. Of course, the question is what we are going to add.
