Yeah, I've found that college has much fewer morons than high school. Then again, I went to a redneck high school and go to a rather pricey university.

However, college (at least this one) still has like 47 mandatory humanities classes to push through (OK, more like 6). At least there's nothing truly horrifying like P.E.

I'm not gay. I'm attracted to girls. With boobs. That bounce.

I assume Vision is some kind of program that allows teachers or whatever to see what you're doing on the computer?

My high school was too low-tech for that, the library staff would just walk around the computers.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who immediately see typos right after they post their post...

I do tht all the time. I'm good at spelling but I make a lot of typos. Some of them seem more a problem of my brain going faster/slower than my fingers, such as mixing up "than" and "that" when typing. Of course, this keyboard's shift leys don't help much either...I get DOuble CAps a lot.

I've been looking at both boards, and this one is definitely the better of the two. Here, everyone's acting civil toward each other and posting on topic in complete sentences. It almost reminds me of the old days. At the other place, everyone seems to be more like "OMG OMFG LOLZOR YOU SUCK", there are no real conversations and I'm afraid to breathe in there.

I'm not actually a newbie, I was fairly active during the era of the first board (but with a different username).

Yeah, you could use a bit bigger font size. I don't really see web designers' obsession with tiny fonts, especially as I have some vision problems which I know are just gonna get worse as I get older.

Haven't played Alpha Cantauri. I have played Civilization 1, 2, and 3 (and 4 a few times but I never owned it). Of those, Civ 3 is my favourite. I think it's a lot more balanced than Civ 2.

I'll play any civ except the Americans.

I built a computer a few months ago but it kept malfunctioning oddly. The fans would shut down at random and the display would sometimes flicker extremely fast in horizontal lines. I'm guessing it's a problem with the power supply as it was fairly cheap. So I bought an eMachine at Best Buy for $400, which is really lousy and slow and the DVD drive doesn't work half the time, but at least I have a computer.

Any 2D Zelda game because OOT hogs all the attention.

Seriously, I really enjoyed an old DOS game called Kroz. It's all text-mode (CP437, not ASCII) graphics, the enemies are like letters with umlauts and such. Basically you're this guy (really a smiley face symbol) trying to collect treasure underground and have to avoid enemoes and walls and get keys to go to the next level.

I have a lot of trouble with insomnia. It often takes 2 to 6 hours for me to fall asleep, but once I am asleep I usually stay asleep. I always end up waking up around 06:30 no matter how exhausted I am and no matter how little sleep I get though. I think I can subconsciously detect the first light of day or something.

Oh, *slaps forehead* 32 was the "Old thread archive" at the first board, right? I knew 99 being Lost threads, and I remember another Acmlmboard that had it at 255.
