hey Doug, it's me from the FAQs!

I don't know if you read my message yet, but I finished this game last night(easy version)

Alot of the people here make good points, ESPECIALLY as far as clues to item locations(and the Wacky Palace).

Also, my emulator allows me to rewind. Meaning if I die or waste magic or make any other mistake will exploring, I can just hold the L button for a second or two. It saved me so much time and frustration. (not that it made finding things any easier ;P)

Edit: Got the flute but now I don;t know where to find the sand palace at

The Sand Palace is in the graveyard surrounded by mountains. there's a pit near Link's Tomb.

unless, you mean the Wacky Palace.

I have been stuck in the Graveyard Palace for some time now. I can't find the key to the 3rd locked door, the one guarded by 2 blue iron knuckles.
I can see 3 more keys in the palace but they all seem to be out of reach: 2 under blocks in the rooms with crumbling bridges, and 1 near the entrance on a high ledge with an illusionary wall under it that leads to nowhere. Any help would be much appreciated!

Great hack BTW, I'm enjoying it alot

There's a trick you have to do with an elevator to get that one. In one of the rooms that has an elevator, use it to go up into a room that has Bots and breakable blocks(there's 4 total with that layout, only 1 leads to the key), you shouldn't be able to go any higher... or can you?
Get off and on the elevator rapidly until it goes up into a false wall(there's a rupee there if you want it), then drop back down and fall into the elevator shaft like a pit.

Bingo.

Ok, so how do you get the Power Bracelet in the Wacky Palace? I swear I've looked everywhere and all I do is get stuck in a loop. I haven't even found a key to the locked door past the pit trap.

There's no key in the Wacky Palace. You have to get it from the Forest Palace near the swamp(the one north of Ruto)

I've been wanting to make a hack of AR called Arkista's Ring 2: The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Also, it looks silly to use the Christine head 1-Ups for Link XD

One question:

If Link is under the Nightmare's influence(fighting Zelda, etc.), why does he even consider obtaining the Master Sword and Dream Scepter unless he becomes free of them somehow? I just think that part of the opening story should be explained a tad better...

ok, that makes much more sense.

except... if Zelda's guarding the (whole)Triforce, what's to stop her from using it to defeat the Nightmares? Surely it's godly power could defeat them without harming Link...

No, I'm glad you 'barraged me' with details ^^. I myself am attempting a Zelda 2 hack and it's very refreshing to talk to another Zelda nut.
For some dumb reason it slipped my mind that Ganon had the whole Triforce at his command in ALttP so your point about not being able to defeat/kill someone with it's power alone is quite valid.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/home/587161.html

http://sydlexia.com/vald/bucky.htm

After reading about this game and playing it for myself, this thing is just begging for crossover treatment. Think about it for a minute:

Bucky O'Hare -> Fox McCloud
A1C Blinky (Android) -> Slippy Toad
Deadeye Duck -> Falco Lombardi
Jenny (Cat) -> Krystal
Willy DuWitt -> Peppy Hare

The 4 colored planets could easily been given names from the Lylat System:

Green -> Fortuna(SNES version), or Corneria
Red -> Titania, or Solar(I know it's a star and not a planet...)
Blue -> Aquas, Fortuna(N64 version), or Fichina
Yellow -> Macbeth

It would basically just be a slight change of graphics, sprites, and text. The transport at the beginning could be replaced with the Great Fox.
The biggest problem would be changing the Toads and the Toad Air Marshall to different villains. (Monkeys and Andross would be the most obvious choice, but I'd rather not do them)

This is just me thinking aloud here, I'm already busy trying to make a Zelda 2 hack... Feel free to comment/flame...

Okay these are really general...

Retro-rom hack:
Essentially, 8-bit-ify some SNES games to their NES counterparts.

For example, a legend of zelda link to the past hack, with zelda style 1 graphics, and and more synthetic sounding music. Large sprites, still in 8-bit style, with just general extras and improvements, but truly having 8-bit flare...

Sequels that should have been:
Kid Icarus II? Bionic Commando II (although I guess there is remake or something and the gameboy color, but whatever) Cosmo Police Galivan II (well that exists for snes, but it is horrible, and nothing like its famicom counterpart...)

Making games that suck, no longer suck:
The NES has a wide variety of top notch games. Some however, are awful. Either fix the gameplay, story line, palette, graphics (asm hacks for another mapper perhaps), levels, music, sfx, etc. Make it fun to play, "revivify" that old awful game.

More female leads:
Self-explanatory, female heroines are in short supply on the NES.
Let Link get kidnapped, or the lead character in an RPG be a girl. Say bye to Frionel and hello to Maria.

Holy ****, so I'm the only one here who loves Cosmo Police Galivan.

There are many great NES games that I'm amazed have never been hacked.

Crystalis
StarTropics 1 & 2
Dragon Spirit: The New Legend
Journey to Silius
Monster Party
Spiritual Warfare
Wizards & Warriors
Xexyz
