Let me ask you one question- Do people do that stuff normally over there? That's... cute. (I SERIOUSLY need to find me a girlfriend soon...) No seriously, cute. XD That's all I can say. |

AFAIK, I'm American, Hispanic, and a bit Native American. The Hispanic part comes from my mother's side (My grandma is 100% Hispanic), and the Native American part comes from my dad. Or so he says. I don't even know how far back our family goes, really. I also know few people in my family- I obviously have a ton of relatives, but my dad has plenty of brothers and sisters I've never met before... I mean, who knows what types of people I could trace myself back to? |

You don't "hide" the tile under another. Only the tile that is SHOWING will be used. If Tile 0x1EB looks like a garbled mess when using a certiain set of GFX (i.e., ExGFX), make a copy of the tile you wish to use and set it to act like tile 1EB. |

Posted by TaylorMk2002Posted by Omega Mind showing me just what the level looked like fully? I mean... In that video, you mainly stayed at the top of the level, meaning no one could see what was at the bottom. Please? Oh, and nice block-sprites, uhh.... Whoever made this. (I keep forgetting how to spell the name! Sorry! ) |

Posted by quaker3332 Yes, it IS vital to reach the next area, for now. I have a Springboard, but don't know what to do with it. But.... I have some idea now. ;P Oh yes, that last screen will be harder. For one, those blocks will jut outta the walls more, but more importantly, there'll be spikes right under them. Thus, you gotta jump high, but not TOO high, or else you'll get poked really bad. ;P So yeah, there'll be few enemies in that shaft, but there'll be a few to both help you out a bit and annoy the heck outta you when you jump too high/low and hit them. (And NOT from above, either. ;P ) Anyways, thanks for the feedback... Got some new stuff to do, so I won't be working on this hack as much anymore... Like I ever did. ;P |

Did you press F9 to save the Map16 data to the ROM? If you don't, the moment the ROM is reloaded, that one thing you did will no longer be there. |

I never skip school. Funny thing is, I always used to do my best to get out of doing homework. I always left certain books I NEEDED to do my homework at my school, and when my parents asked me about it, I'd always tell them I "forgot my books at school". Worked for a little while, but.... Oops, no such luck after a while of that! XD I don't really do that anymore. The only times I say I left my books at the school is when I do so on accident. I don't try to get out of doing homework anymore.... And yes, I DO tend to accidentally forget to bring certain books with me. Hasn't happened in a while, though, because I'm homeschooled right now, because the school I was in last was private school, and my parents just couldn't afford it anymore. Oh well. I dislike school (it's always boring), but I see no reason to get out of classes. I do my work like I should. I stay in class no matter HOW bored I get. ...Doing the work takes my mind off the boredom, anyways, though my mind STILL wanders about... |

Hey, I was just wondering... Have you tried giving Shadow a Chaos Control ability? If not for warping ahead, at least it could be used to check out what's in front of him, past the camera's view... Or it COULD warp him, in case you fell into a it or something. (But it'd probably have to cost Rings....) |

Well, just thought I'd give you guys this update:
I'm redoing the overworld a bit. I was getting tired of only being able to use ONE Switch Palace on the main overworld, so I'm moving Peppermint Fields to the Vanilla Dome submap. Unfortunately... This'll leave a BIIIIG gap in the overworld. *gasp!* What will I use it for? You'll see. ....In fact, I'm not too sure of it myself. Perhaps World 4 will be there? ....Oh darn. I just remembered something- Atlantis was originally going to be on the Vanilla Dome submap. I need to think this through.... Any ideas on how I should do this? |

Gah! My last post didn't go through!
The overworlds look nice, but there's a few problems in the main one: 1: The base of all hills/mountains have the pieces that go in the corners where the "edges" are. Look at the one Mario begins on- At the bottom of the lines, it looks like the edges got cut off a bit... 2: The two mountains at the bottom of the overworld look wrong. They look like it's the top of a mountain on a flat surface. Look what you did with the hills at the top of the overworld, then compare them to the mountains- The mountains look like you just threw the "edge lines" on them just for fun. Look at the left-most and right-most "edge lines" on those mountains. There's supposed to be another one of those lines right next to them, to give perspective. 3: There's points in the water where those little "edges" just... cut off. Look to the northeast of Castle #1 and a bit to the right of the right Star Road tile just south of Mario's starting location. There's a bit of wavy water that takes the place of something that should be there. I don't exactly know WHAT to call this tile (The same one I mentioned at #1), so sorry if you have no idea what I'm talking about. 4: South of the pipe in Hilly Vale, you made the bridge be one tile making up part of Bowser's Castle's bridge. That looks wrong. Why can't you use the original bridge? It looks better. :/ 5: Right below the 6th castle, you have the path in the water starting right there next to the land. Don't do that. It looks wrong, because you're actually lopping off part of the wall... So to speak. Plus, to the right of that, part of it just stops all of a sudden. It looks... wrong.... Other than that, your overworlds look great.... Except the Star World one. It looks kinda like you just replaced the ground with... Nothing, and added more level tiles. :/ But then, that's just how it looks from my perspective. I'd probably have a better idea of what it'd be like if you showed what the paths were like... |

Hmmph. My name is listed in my profile, Matthew. That;s my first name. Second and last names I will not reveal, however. ...Not like you need to know. My parents say they were originally going to call me Cameron. :O But... I like my name better. Where they got it from is a bit obvious- From the Bible, oddly enough. Yes, they named me after one of the Twelve Disciples. |

I might be able to help with BlockTool- Works fine for me. But... Are you using FuSoYa's pipes, by any chance? I prefer the Custom Block ones better, and FuSoYa's are a bit glitched with Caped Mario.... As for hex, I might be able to do a little of that... If it's just changing a few offsets. I know no ASM yet.
Oh, nice overworld, too. It's looking nice right now. |

Well, thing is, the pipes malfunction as Caped Mario if you put them at the bottom edge of the screen. Try testing the original level that came with it- You'll see the problem.... Anyways, I'm seriously open if you ever need help with BlockTool and hex stuff. And good luck with the hack. |

Posted by Xkeeper I've stopped a system shutdown before. If you shutdown a computer, and it mentions that it's trying to shutdown something that didn't quit running or something, if you can click the X in the corner before it's done, the shutdown is terminated. I find it great if I forget to do something. |

Wow, it looks nice from the screens. What can we expect in this, exactly? I wish I could play this, but I don't have a ROM to patch it to... (If I could just get it... I'd play this in a heartbeat. ) ....By any chance, does this happen to have that Super Metroid-style Item Switch ASM hack in it? |

Well, more new screens of SMW: DWA. Again, I've mainly been working on my overworld. But this time, it was urgent- I had to move Peppermint Fields to the Vanilla Dome submap. This leaves me only one submap with which to make a World, and I had already planned for World 4 to be on the Vanilla Dome map.... Oh well. Guess it'll take up the last one. Anyways, here's 2 new Submaps. One is Peppermint Fields' new location...
....which made it smaller.... ....And here's Bowser's submap! Yes, it's a lava world, and I just LOVE this palette. ...I wanted it to be more center-of-the-world-like, though... This place is SOOO boiling hot, you can't have a Cape in here! Bring a cape, and.... It burns to ashes. (I'll most likely need a new custom block for that which turns Mario into Super Mario if he has a Cape....) This is World 8. And guess what? It really IS the center of the world, so to speak. And yes, you will be crossing that lava pit. But wait, notice anything MISSING here? Like, say... The bridge to Bowser's Castle? :O By the way, I need some feedback help here: Since I moved Peppermint Fields, I've opened up a big old hole where it was. I'm thinking about moving Monkey Jungle to that location, thus freeing a submap. Thoughts on this? Edit: New pic in place of the old one for Peppermint Fields. Someone on IRC (Not on this server, by the way) mentioned that those hills didn't look right (More like an implied mention of that), so I decided to mess around with the shared palette of the Vanilla Dome/Bowser's Valley submaps, and look! Not only was I able to get the look I originally wanted with those tiles (Which I actually got on the Forest of Illusion submap when they were used in a seperate area....), but as a bonus, I made the glaciers look a bit better by making them lighter. This allowed me to scrap the darkest color they used so I could place a dark red there. Thus... Peppermint. |

I think maybe you misunderstood what I was saying, interdepth, so I edited my post to make that a BIT more obvious....
So, it'll have that ASM hack in it, huh? Cool. Once I get my hands on that ROM (so I may patch it), I will SO play this hack! |
