I've had that idea of levels connecting to previous levels before, but I've never implemented it. I may do that at some point in my game.
As for the P-Switch Blocks, those look pretty interesting to use. I'll bet you can make a lot of good puzzles using them.

Yes, especially since I also have the P-Swich Reverse and Silver P-Switch Reverse blocks in the hack, too! But you'd be surprised at what puzzles I have in store. In fact, just the other day, I got the idea to use more of those movement blocks to make more underwater currents. Maybe I'll do that.

Just be careful not to use them close to walls or Mario can get stuck and killed in the wall. Unless you want that as part of the challenge.

Oh no, I learned that the hard way. XD I know how to fix it, though- Make the ground be the movement block of the opposite direction (and of the same speed, too.). They should keep Mario above the ground if he starts to get pushed in....

Anyways, you mind posting in the thread for me, maybe comment on the given screens? I'm gonna have to post there again anyways, so...

Well, so much for me making your castle for you. XD I figured this would happen eventually if I didn't hurry up and make it.

Glad to see you finally finished the first castle. The looks for the second one are nice, too, though, I'd like to see a few vines going around the bricks and stuff. Good luck with your hack....

Well, if you got anything done on the castle at all, go ahead and send it my way. I'm sure I could use it in one way or another. I actually do have vine-covered brick graphics done, I just haven't done the map16 for them yet:

Eh, I only got like, two levels done (first room and optional "bonus" room to make the trek across to a block easier. ), so I don't think you could use them. I'll send them to you, anyways. How would you like them? The same way you sent it to me, or as .mwl files?

Oh yeah, good luck with the hack.

Use the Fast ROM Patch at SMW Central. Unfortunately, this patch is not compatible with the SMB3 music patch (Which also means no SMB1 music, either), and if both are patched to the same ROM.... Hitting a block from below glitches the game and freezes it. =/ So be careful when using that patch. Perhaps one day someone can make a Fast ROM Patch that doesn't conflict with the music patches.

Or, better yet....

Combine the idea of getting Green Coins for getting a right answer in a Brain Teasers question and the idea of being able to buy site stuff (like new forum layouts, stuff like that) in the Item Shop, and let's see...

Instead of using Coins for that stuff, why not Green Coins? I mean, EVERYONE can get Yellow Coins, and simply by POSTING! What good would it do to not have a little bit of a challenge in getting them? Why not make it so we need GREEN Coins to buy that stuff instead? I mean, if you're going to be able to buy stuff with Rare Green Coins, why not make it something that's actually worthwhile to some?

And better yet, why not let people buy pre-made post layouts? Some people lack artistic skills, and don't really want to ask people to make one for them (Like me, as I'm getting sick of having to rely on everyone for every single graphical thing I want, and I never felt good asking anyone if they'd help me make my own layout or anything, so I never did), so.... Why not?

Okay, after reading the IRC Quotes thread, I proceeded to go back to the main site. Surprise, surprise, I got this:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'acmlm'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/acmlmboard/public_html/board/lib/mysql.php on line 7
Couldn't connect to MySQL server

The link gives me a 404 error, and... I can only seem to get here by adding "index.php" to the end. It used to bring me to the main site simply by using "http://acmlm.no-ip.org/board/".... Is something wrong here? (But yeah, I know I should've had "index.php" at the end in the first place. XD

That was me uploading the wrong file (config.php instead of common.php), which reset the MySQL settings to my test board, but it's fixed now

Ah. Thanks, Acmlm.

Care to show us more screens, Icegoom? You should probably know by now that I like seeing new screens.

Well well well... I've been expecting you, Tina. I hope you will stick around and help ward off spammers like you did last time we saw you. This board just wouldn't be the same if Xkeeper, Acmlm, and Tina weren't here, huh? They make this place so great.

PM yourself.

Anyway, good to see PMs are working. Now, the Mafia game can finally start running again.

You sure we can even DO that? But I'm trying to give up talking to myself. It's hard as heck to stop it, too.

Any chocolate candy, SweeTarts, Skittles, Starburst, and stuff like that. Though, I rarely eat them. I usually eat Pop Tarts instead.

Love Doopliss' face expression in the 4th panel. Can't say I know what Peardian transformed into. I haven't made it that far in Paper Mario before.

It's an enemy known as a "BZZAP!", for some reason. (Yes, that IS the name.) It's a very annoying enemy you will mainly only encounter in Flower Fields, but it is also hidden within Forever Forest. It can take 6 HP away from you in one hit, so... Be careful around it. Oh yeah, it's even more dangerous than that, though.

When did Doopliss become such a wimp? In PM:TTYD, he acted like he was SO cool and powerful, despite him actually being pretty weak for a boss. So, uh.... What's Doopliss gonna do next? Steal more identities?

Are you going to have a link to chat here like you did at the old board? I'd like to go to chat once, but... I'd rather not use an external program for #romhacking yet.

(Also, if I had a nick on one IRC server, is the same nick registered on all other IRC servers?)

Java client. Just type the name you want to use in the bottom-right, then type "/join #rohmacking" in the main text box and you're in.

That depends on what you mean.

"If I register my nick on one server on a network (example: anger.esper.net on EsperNet), will it be registered on all servers on the network?"
Yes.

"If I register my nick on one IRC server, will it be registered on every IRC server in the world?"
No.

Bottom one was what I meant. To me, the networks are the IRC servers.... So my question was basically "Is one nick registered on one network automatically registered on all networks?". Thank you! I guess I'll go put #Romhacking on my IRC network list. One more question about it- It IS on irc.esper.net port 6667, right?

Yes, and the channel is #rohmacking, with the h before the m.

.....You're not being sarcastic about that?

I only played netplay once, and that was yesterday. I had a blast with it. The person I played with played some SMAS with me. We did SMB first. Funny thing? He died a lot on World 1-2. He also didn't want me to do the Minus World glitch (I only wanted to do it so I could say that I did it, because I've never been there before. And yes, I know that once you go there, you can't leave....)... We both ended up losing by World 1-4, and we moved on to play SMB3. Eh, this is where it got good for me. I constantly entered Battle with him (You know, 2-Player mode lets you enter a battle with the other player if you try to enter a stage while on the space the other player is on), and constantly won. I think I made him mad. XD In the end.... We died a lot. A ton of lag attacked us (We were using ZSNES 1.36, by the way), so the jumps became harder to control... I had fun, though.

I'll play anyone at Netplay on SMAS, SMW, or even the YI minigames. If anyone wishes to challenge me, you can PM me. I don't mind. But don't complain if I use ZSNES 1.42- I use that version most.

Ooh, I have a new request- A block that is normally solid, but when all enemies are defeated, you can pass through it. Kinda like those Yoshi Coin blocks in BlockTool (Which are actually backwards, by the way. The No Yoshi Coin Block won't let you through until 5 Yoshi Coins are collected, which is what the Yoshi Coin Block is supposed to do.). Is it possible to do that?
