Keep the feedback coming. Oh yeah, another thing... When would you like me to make a demo? Before the first castle? After the first castle?

After the castle is fine. I like the way this looks.

and Dr.Wily=my fav bad dude!

Thanks. Though, seriously, without BMF's blocks..... Well, Gravity Castle wouldn't be GRAVITY Castle.

Mine is farily simple:

Pika: My obsession at the time was Pokemon, and to this day, Pikachu remains my favorite Pokemon.
guy: I'm male. What else could this be?
900: Eh, I was 9 when I first made the name, so.... I tacked a 00 at the end 'cause I liked that.

So there you have it. A username in use for over 6 whole years NON-STOP. Save for one site, though. The only other user names I can recall using are pikachu_fan_13 (For my e-mail, and this was when I was 13, so only 3 years ago. Obvious here how I am Pikachu's Fan. ) and Matthew (Can't resist my OWN NAME. XD).

Eh, I'm still waiting for mine. Creativity? Don't look at me. Though, if I were to make my own layout, it'd probably be either a Super Mario RPG one or a Kirby's Dream Land 3 one.

The hack looks so-so, some levels have interesting-looking puzzles/graphics while some are bland. I don't the like the pipe either, it looks, just, bleh.

I say your doing a better job in the levels.

Tell me, which ones are bland? If they're not Silver Pipeline 1, it's because they're not done.

You know, I think it might be wise for someone to actually start giving suggestions on what I could do with that pipe. I mean, if I remember constructive criticism correctly... Just saying that it's bad isn't constructive, right? Seriously, you guys should start giving me suggestions on how I can improve.

I really like what you did with the desert tiles. If there were more odd things like that, I think this hack would turn out just fine.

Hmmm... I don't want to get TOO odd.

By the way guys, the suggestion of making the OW desert area's palette the same as the ground in the level didn't work out. Trust me, it looks worse now, and quite frankly, YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE IT. O_o In other news, I'm working on an all-new intro level. This one will actually be PLAYABLE, so I can pass it off as a Practice Level. It'll showcase a few custom blocks and stuff so you can know how my hack will work. But oh! If only I had better ideas that have yet to be seen! Oh well. By the way, something's gone wrong with the hack, and now sprites don't react to Custom Blocks in vertical levels, depsite me having patched a patch BMF gave me to fix it to the hack. O.o Until I can figure that out.... Either you'll have to live with enemies going through the screen-scrolling pipes in the second part of SP1 (Check my signature for the abbreviations on World names), or I'll modify it to be horizontal instead....

I think my username came from the brain damage I received from watching MEGAMAN.exe. I think I was thinking along the lines of what if data was evil, or some such nonsense.

Odd. Your username always reminded me of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Remember Data's evil brother? No? Eh, I forgot his name. XD

Title wars! Now how much longer will it take until we hit username wars...

My username is better than yours. No, just kidding.

My title is very uncreative. My only creativity goes to hacking and other level editing. I see someone has caught Xk's attention. Hmm, is that a GOOD thing or a bad thing?

Lesse.... I can't remember a time of me being a TRUE n00b. I never really used shorthand (Like g2g and stuff like that) except on that first message board I went to... After that, my n00bish acts were the kind about asking obvious questions.... Questions answered in FAQs That is, when I found Zelda Classic. Acmlm's.... Different story. Used to looking at the FAQ and readmes, so.... That's kinda when my n00b days were over. .....I think. (If you ask me, I'm 0% n00b and 100% hothead extraordinaire. )

Anyone think we should have a thread to show off (so to speak) our custom titles?

Just so you know, I'm an avid gamer and hothead extraordinaire (I can get very mad very fast), so.... Well, I was thinking of a witty custom title. Well.... Games games games came to my mind, and the fact that I'm a hothead. But you've GOTTA have something to search for, right? In my case, I need a good way to control my anger better. What better way than with The Chalice of Calming? XD

I'd like a set custom blocks that work like MikeyK's SMB3 pipes, only they can only be used if Mario is small, much like the ones that SWR added in with FuSoYa's SMB3 pipes.... (I find MikeyK's pipes to be MUCH better than FuSoYa's, so...) Thanks!

A little while ago, I decided to try out the "Piranha Plant Short Stem" custom sprites hosted at SMW Central. I placed them in the first two open spots I could find, which were 87 and 88. When I inserted the Upside-Down Short Stem one, I found out what Sprite 88 is. The description says, "A sprite that creates a cage with wings that carries Mario. For the cage to show up, use the 'Tileset Specific' layer 3 setting. Note however that the sprite was not used in the original game, and most of the graphics are missing.". I tried it out, and all that showed up were the wings, animating weirdly, and depending on where I placed it, it didn't let me jump and only let me move a certain distance, let me go wherever I wanted, but didn't let me jump, or let me jump and move wherever I wanted. In the cases that it let me move, if I went to the end of the level and tried to go back, it'd put me outside the boundaries, thus killing me. Has anyone found out much about this sprite so it can be used?

Well, Mario can kill the sun. Too bad it's only 1000 points though.

So how does the sun come back? Horrible continuity there.

The Angry Sun comes back because of Bowser. But I'm putting my money on The Angry Sun just being a hothead and being persistent.

Imajin: Because it's The ANGRY Sun. There's also gotta be more, like The Happy Sun, The Sad Sun, The Crazy Sun, etc.

Okay, let's take it from the top! A-one, a-two, a-one-two-three-four!

Screens:
1: Okay by me.
2: A bit bland, but okay nonetheless. Perhaps add some ? Blocks or something? Even the original game (and SMB3) had those breakable blocks (Turn Blocks in SMW) in places with nothing in them, so you could break them. Just a though.
3: Nice underwater area. The palette doesn't strike me as underwater, though. Maybe you should make it normal ground, but darker. Heck, you could even make some special GFX for it that makes it look like the farther down you go, the darker the ground gets.
4: Here, the palette seems to be wrong, and.... Why do you have clouds in a forest? Shouldn't the clouds be ABOVE the forest?
5: I'm not exactly liking the red spikes.... I like them better as yellow ones.
6: No comment. It's fine as it is.
7: How'd you get the Bowling Ball to work?
8: Nice shot, but the Piranha Plant is wrong. And don't start it with "The Piranha Stem Fix doesn't work no matter how much I patch it", because you can't see the changes in LM. Just follow its readme, and it'll be fixed. And if you follow the optional step, you get to use both the Classic AND Upside-Down Piranha Plants in ANY level. How's THAT for a bonus effect? Though, it's just another offset you have to change. But trust me, it's worth it, since you get to use both Plants in any level you want, without the need to switch SP4 to 4 using Super GFX Bypass.
9: Where did you get the branch GFX? It seems oddly familiar....
10: This is an okay shot.

Uhh....Work on your levels a bit more.

Rome, Georgia for me.

Pros:
-I live near relatives.
-Lots of trees around.
-Nice weather.
-Plenty of animals in the wild, especially deer and squirrels.
-Nice, calm place.
-Diverse cultures.

Cons:
-No snow whatsoever. We rarely get it down here.
-Not many good jobs around here.
-Games are generally only sold here about 2 days after their release dates.
-Too many people who like to hunt and fish.
-TOO MUCH SPANISH!

Those are MY pros and cons. Too much Spanish is a con for me because I barely understand it. XD

Well, since my thread in the SMW Hacking section had its last post made by me, I'm just going tp have to show the next screens of Super Mario World: Dr. Wily's Assault here.

So let's get onto it, shall we?

Updated starting section of Silver Pipeline 2. This level is more ground and less pipe. Please note the small pipes. This signifies that I wish to use Small Mario-only pipes! The only problem is, I am using MikeyK's SMB3 pipes since FuSoYa's prevents me from adding any other custom blocks to my hack, and I add custom blocks as I go instead of all at once (my ideas change every once in a while, so...). I posted a request for a version of these pipes I'm using that can only be entered if you're Small Mario/Luigi, but no response yet. I'd make them myself, but I have no clue how. Oh well. XD It'd be really nice to have....

If you think this is a hidden section of Silver Pipeline 1, you're sorely mistaken. You see, this section is only accessible through Silver Pipeline 2! See that Blue P-Switch-Block? If you can't get up to the pipe before the P-Switch times out, you can hit this block for a 16-Second run to the pipe. Only problem with this section? I set a screen exit, but... Entering the pipe took me to Level 0 for some reason. O_o Oh well. I may make it a door instead. Anyways, those Blue P-Blocks are only solid if a Blue P-Switch or Blue P-Switch-Block has been activated. Even the Silver P-Switches are the same. Oh yeah, if you see a Brown Block that has the symbol of a Blue P-Switch on it, that's a Blue P-Switch-Block that you must keep a sprite on at all times in order to keep it on. Red Blocks with a Silver P-Switch on them are Silver P-Switch Blocks that must be worked in the same way. Silver Block + Silver P-Switch symbol is a Silver P-Switch-Block that activates Silver P-Blocks for 16 Seconds. Silver P-Blocks are like Blue P-Blocks, but they only work when a Silver P is active. Whew, hope that wasn't too long.

Anyways, that screen shows an important thing about my hack- EACH LEVEL WILL CONNECT TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND, IN CERTAIN CASES, CERTAIN PREVIOUS LEVELS. Hey, it makes sense. The original levels all felt like simple levels, and didn't seem to connect in any way other than the overworld. However, this hack will have one level connect into the next at the end (if possible), and certain levels will connect to previous levels. Not only does it make sense, it also saves me some levels for other use. XD Anyways, enjoy the screens, and sorry for all that talking I did. XD
