Didn't you make a demo of this once before? I could've sworn I saw... Wait, I have the hack right here! O_o

I'd like to be a beta-tester, too, please. I liked this hack the first time I played it... Forget where I got it from, though. (Also, your pics look really nice, but I hate the "disguise a block as something else" routine and the "coins show invisible solid objects" thing. They're both annoying to me. )

The hack's not dead. I keep shuffling back and forth between working on the hack, and working on my Zelda Classic quest... SUE ME. Anyways, I'm currently in my "Zelda Classic" phase, so I'm not working on the hack right now... But... I figured I'd tell ya more of my ideas and show more pics... Old areas, though. Sorry, I've been working on the overworld too much... Which HAS been completed now, by the way.

Final Silver Pipeline OW. See the house? Silver Pipeline 2 is a town! Yes! A town! I'm going to try to make it to where collecting 100 coins doesn't give you a 1-Up, coins don't reset, and you can hold up to 999 Coins... Like in Paper Mario.

Silver Pipeline 1 again. This showcases 2 things... One is the status bar. Like how I put "COIN" like that? I figured that if I'm gonna have 999 as the max, I should move it someplace else... Like where the Timer is. I used some Clock thing to signify where the Timer is... Timer and Coin Counter switched places! The other thing I'm showcasing here is the block... The black one, that is. Look familiar? No? It doesn't look like it's from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3? Well, it might be, but... I drew that from scratch in YY-CHR. Anyways, I call it the Phase Block. Luigi can't pass through it, but... *Someone* else can... Who is that? Heh, wait 'til World 7 comes along. Then you'll find out.

Again, Silver Pipeline 1 again, and 2 things shown again. One is the style. See how it's Wooden Block-filled? I decided to change it from Pipe-ish to Block-ish. The other thing shown is... I put Midway Points back. Yay for Midway Points!!! Oh, but there's actually more to show in this level, like....

This! Step on the platform to get it going, then hurry up and use that Elevator to get to the top of the blocks before it gets away from you! Oh, and if you fall, you die. Also, the Donut Blocks are 100% solid, too.... So they can push you off if you're not careful.

You can get here without the Platform... But if you don't, no path to the end for you. Tsk tsk tsk. But don't worry! If you come without it, use Elevators to get back. There's one waiting for you in the pit to the left, too.

Look carefully to see my Outlines. The Black Outlines are blocks. If the On-Off Block is On, then that Outline means there's an Off Block there (solid when On-Off Flag is set as Off).... Otherwise, it's an On Block! You get the idea. Green Outline shows where a Green Switch Block lies... Yellow Outline, Yellow Switch Block... Blue Outline, Blue Switch Block... No Red Outline. To save on space.... There's only one copy of the Blocks and outlines. And since there's no Red colors available to me... I turned the Red Switch Blocks into ORANGE Switch Blocks! So there.

Final Pendulum Desert OW. The houses AGAIN? Yep, a desert town is here. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll reach that ship out there.... It's called S.S. Teacup. Sound familiar?

I don't think I've shown THIS overworld yet! This is Fluffy Cloud! There! You see it? It's Ted's Airship! If you're lucky, Ted will show you how to get to a secret Palace hidden up in the clouds... But only if you're lucky. Also, please take note of the house next to it. It's the only actual level in the entire hack to be called a Ghost House. Sad, isn't it? But don't despair, there'll be TWO levels in Monkey Jungle taking place inside a creepy mansion filled with ghosts!

Last but not least, I show you Petal Ridge! The scenic Petal Ridge offers the PERFECT view at the isle that Bowser built his new Villa on... You'll visit that place at least once in your adventure to stop Dr. Wily!

That's all the pics I have for now. I'll show pics of the other worlds later. Now... I tell you more about the story...

Dr. Wily isn't the only foe you're trying to beat at the start of this hack anymore. Oh no. Dimentio is back, and badder than ever. He wants an artifact called the Star Rod, which is said to be held in the Star Palace, so he can have his wish for ultimate power and a world ruled by himself be granted. Sound familiar? Dimentio's not the only one seeking this thing. Dr. Wily and Bowser both want it, too. Mario, however, is off chasing Bowser again, who, AGAIN, kidnapped Princess Peach, so Luigi has to stop Dr. Wily and Dimentio before either one of them gets their hands on the Star Rod.... However.... They teamed up, so they can reach their common goal... But only one will get the Star Rod, they both understand that. Unfortunately... In order to get to the Star Palace, the Temporal Artifacts must be acquired and taken to the Golden Palace hidden *somewhere* in the area. Bowser believes he can use one of these to defeat Mario once and for all, so... He goes in search of them, too... So yeah, 4 bvad guys searching for 7 items. You KNOW what's gonna happen- Chaos ensues.

The name of the area Luigi is exploring has been named, too. It's called the Valley of Time, due to two things: One, the giant Clock Tower south of the Monkey Jungle, and two, the Forest of Time is hidden here somewhere... They say the Clock Tower is a gateway to it. Oh yeah, and ignore the fact that "Luigi" is Mario in the screenshots. Haven't gotten around to changing the player tiles yet... I'm planning on moving the hack to a fresh, new ROM again, so I can add different patches... Like Seperate Luigi GFX.... Also, in the first pic, notice how the isle for SP4 has been moved to the left? That's 'cause the Star Warps use Level 24, and have all directions enabled from the start. If I didn't move it, if you got to the Star Warp there and pressed left, you'd walk onto the path, and then mess up everything, getting stuck. You wouldn't want that, would you? So yeah... EVERY level I can use on the Overworld except 0 is being used... Level 24 is the only one that isn't used as an actual level. Expect a HUGE hack, okay?

...Oh, one more thing. The hack's been renamed. It'll be Super Luigi: The Powers of Time....for now. If you have a better idea, let's hear it! And... a certain character needs naming. Luigi, at first, doesn't know of the plans of Dr. Wily and Dimentio. He actually went to the Valley for a vacation, but a strange, gray Yoshi appeared and told him of their plans... And Luigi then gets attacked by Dimentio, as a warning. Of course. So, anyways, this Yoshi needs a name. He can control time, and....likes Clocks. A lot. He lives in the Clock Tower... So yeah, if you can think of a good name for him, let me hear it. The Yoshi would appreciate it. (And so would I. XD)

Awsome!I Like the S.S Teacup idea aswell.

(Wario land stages in SMW FTW)

Heh. Thanks. Truth be told, that idea started as "Desert Shipwreck" until I got some ideas from the Cortez Battle music from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Oh! Speaking of which, I forgot to mention...

Super Paper Mario characters will be making appearances in this hack... Besides Dimentio, of course. They are:

-Nastasia
-Mimi
-??? (Can't say, he'd spoil the sequel. )

Nastasia and Mimi will both be bosses at World 7- Castle Bleck. But didn't they turn good in SPM? You'll have to wait to find out what happened to them... ;P

Please don't be like that. I love the SMAS GFX. If you don't like it, too bad. I had no idea how many people used these GFX when I first started it. And FYI, I'm planning on making the GFX Paper Mario-style in the end... Well, maybe not from Paper Mario, but at least I want it to fit the style of Luigi I want... Which is SPM-styled. Hey, why not? Now, will you comment on the screens or storyline instead of complaining about how many hacks out there use SMAS GFX? Please? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Uhh.. No more guessing, please. Just... Comments....

Oh yeah, almost forgot... Did I mention that I'm gonna have shops in this hack? Yeah! There'll be 3 towns on the overworld that obviously have Shops, but.... Other places? You'll have to search for the shops. Oh, and I'll be changing the costs around, too, so everything's more... plausible. Whatever. Oh, and the shops aren't limited to what Beb's Shop Blocks are set to normally... ;P I'll extend them to basically every item used in the ? Blocks that put items into your Item Box! That's a lot, isn't it? (And no, you won't be able to buy Koopas... I hope I can make actual Shells....)

Let's see.... What else do I plan on doing...? Oh, right! If I can find out how to do it, Save Blocks. You get to save only where you find those blocks... But... I don't know if it's possible to make it save everything you've done it the game, your Powerup, your coins, EVERYTHING.... In other words, it'd make an in-game Save State for ya. But like I said, I don't know if it's possible or not... We'll see... *ahem* Anything else? The usual- custom blocks, custom sprites, custom GFX, etc... :/ Maybe I'll bring those new pics in later.... For now, I need to go...

Nah, I want an entirely new name. One that has never been used before.... Wouldn't be that hard to think of a name for a Yoshi, now would it? Seeing as Yoshis rarely ever get named.... XD

Does anyone know how to make that Ice Block sprite MikeyK added to Sprite Tool not melt after a short period of time? It'd make more sense to use it on an ice-themed level, but if the block melts, it makes no sense in an ice level. It contradicts itself....

Thanks in advance.

Uhh.... Has anyone seen any glitches with the Directional Elevator sprites yet? In my hack, I've used the old Sprite Tool.... And for some reason, sometimes, the sprite won't spawn from the Elevator block.... Any idea why this happens? I noticed it happened once when I entered a pipe when a Left Elevator sprite was on the screen, but.... I can't seem to figure out why it happened after it left the screen and I left the level, then ended it.... Then it happened when it WASN'T EVEN SPAWNED and I left the level... Is this happening in the recent releases of Sprite Tool? This bug might be game-breaking if you NEED to use those sprites to clear a level....

Been a long time since I've posted here... Anyways, I'm having a small problem.

EDIT: New problem. I have a boss that summons monsters when its HP dips below a certain amount. I have three problems.

1: The monster I edited from Crippo changes colors with the attacks being used and all that. (Layer 3 effects, I think...) Like, when the A/B/X/Y stuff pops up, it switches to using that palette. I cannot figure out why, as no other enemy will do this!
2: Similar thing happens if I destroy one of the "working" things with a weapon- As the enemy explodes into stars, the weapon changes to their palette. Again, no idea what the heck is going on.
3: The other two enemies that "work" do not animate when they attack, for some reason. I edited THOSE enemies from Merlin and Lumbler. To make matters worse, when they're resummoned, they come back down as explosion stars! (And YET AGAIN, they change palettes with the other effects that are happening.)

Please, help me out here. I'm honestly confused as to what I have to do to fix all this. I checked Mack and Punchinello... But Mack sets a bit on an address, while Punchinello doesn't... So I'm not sure how they made this work. Some other enemies work, but they glitch up for a tiny before getting into position. (Possibly because the main boss uses the Magikoopa sprite?) I don't want to replace enemies if I can figure out how to fix this on these three...

I have just deleted the 4 terrapins in the 2nd room of Bowser's Castle and the room freezes when I go to this room in-game. Is that normal, or a bug?

I had the same issue. It apparently expects all the original enemies to be there... What I did was unclicked "Show NPC Instance" on those 4 enemies, made them walkthrough, and set their activation to (none) so it'd be like they weren't there.

Anyways, I have a report of my own. I've been trying to edit some spells to do different things. Originally, I wanted to turn Geno Boost into a healing spell that healed everyone, but if you charge it up at ALL, it then damages you, which is NOT good at ALL. Therefore, I decided to just increase its base power, give it an element, and make it give the enemy some status effects. Okay, the first two went fine, but the statuses... I try to set the effect to Inflict, it forces itself into Nullify when I exit the Stats window. I try to set it to Nullify, it sets itself to NONE. (It also seemed to affect the Jump spell, too. O_o) Finally, if I set it to NONE, it switches to Inflict, which is what I want. This is seriously screwy, and I'm not sure what's going on.

Also, I have my own bugs to report on this.

1: You can break into the double-door house early. Get in front of the doors, and jump. You stand on an invisible wall. Walk towards the door slowly, you fall. Face the door, run, and you burst in. This lets you break in right from the start!

2: The battle after you get out of the sewers after beating that Belome-like creature (I forget how to spell his name) can be lost right at the start, even if you're wearing the Shy Hood...and losing puts you in an infinite loop. The music starts droning out, but after the screen fades, it comes back in, and that's it. Freezes right then and there. I take it something's supposed to happen at this point instead of you dying? But yeah...

3: Using the Tank Shell, I was able to beat this battle. I was told they had a shell, didn't find it in the house. So... I left through the door. Uh oh! I can't go back in through it, it's still locked! So I went through the sewer. Entering the pipe to the house puts me exactly on top of the warp, so I warp right back. In other words, once you leave the house, you can't get back in. Ever. Well, unless you use codes or something...

Sorry if this stuff is already known.

I'd also like to report that editing stats for players upon levelling up is also screwy. I have Peach set to start at Level 1, but no matter how much I set the stats for bonuses, it LOVES to reset the defense and m. defense stuff to 0 over and over and over. As for attack and m. attack, it keeps setting those to either 2 or 3. I'm SICK of it. It just plain refuses to accept much change, it seems.

Ill look into it, but it sounds like it might be a limitation of the game, and thats why the editor wont let you enter those values.

Ah, okay. Well, if it IS just a limitation, then perhaps a documentation of what WILL work would be good? (But still, you think that it wouldn't be forced to be stuck at certain values if you found you could modify them at all...)

Also, I've been forgetting to report something else. You cannot set a spell to have no element associated with it once it's set to have an element. I refuse to accept that this is just a limitation, because this doesn't just happen to spells that start out with elements by default- Things like Therapy, which have no elements whatsoever, can be given an element, and no matter what you do, you can NEVER remove the element except by restarting on a new ROM, or MAYBE importing everything spell-related from a clean ROM...if it'd even do that for me. I really strongly believe that this might be a bug. Values...really shouldn't reset like this.
