I have some questions I'd like to ask if you don't mind:
1) Can you edit what your party gets when they level up? i.e. They gain defense and magic attack in one bonus, in another you can get attack and magic attack in another.

2) Could you make something to editing the menus' palette and/or tiles?

3) Can you edit the title screen, company names, and the credits?

4) Can you get rid of the casual Bowser taking Peach away with Mario chasing after them in the beginning?

5) Is there a way to disable your rewards at the end of battle (Experience, coins, item), so you immediately go back to the map?

6) Could you make something that counts all the flower boxing in the game? That would be useful to make sure you don't push too much or too less of flowers in the game.

Never mind about that link, it's the one to LordLazer's tut, but that's like the best tutorial on overworld editing. Sorry, I'd explain overworld editing but I'm busy.

I have a question, can you create palette swaps of enemies using empty space? Say I want another Terrapin enemy, could you just copy the tilemap, attacks, and palette to a different sprite number?

Another question relating to one but simpler: Can you do something like they did with Croco and Belome? They have a bunch of counterparts, same graphics, but different attack patterns. Can you do that for other enemies, but make it more customizable? I thought you'd just make it load a different routine, but I really don't know what I'm talking about.

The reason I ask is because I want to make two different types of Hammer Bros. So there could be a regular hammer brother, then there would be a fire brother, however, the graphics/palette would be different... Is that possible..?

I have a question/request regarding features: Can you make other people in your party (Bowser, for instance) to use a weapon from another without their graphics changing? I would like for Bowser to use a cannon (or some other projectile) from Geno, but with Bowser using his own animation instead of Geno's.

Now for the redesign, personally, I don't think everything needs to be changed heavily from the current version, but the fonts definitely need to be different so it's easier to see everything else. I really like O_o 's example, changing the lines on the sides of the font and bolding to make the groups stand out to make them more recognizable makes a world of difference. With Kawa's, it is the same thing, but a smaller window, with blue and a sprinkle of fanciness mixed in. All in all, it's all about changing the font, I say.

Can you edit anything related to music? I would like to at least slow down/speed up soundtracks, make them echo, fade in or fade out, and change the instruments they use.

I just noticed something. Right next to the blue bird, appears to be broken egg shells. This opens up the possibility that the blue bird once played a part in the plot and hatched from an egg, kind of like Yoshi.

This also opens up a theory that the Blue Bird might have once replaced Yoshi in an early beta.

I doubt it though. :/


Well, they were originally going to make Yoshi some dino bird thing, but the idea was scrapped. I don't know the chances of the the blue bird being "Yoshi" though, but it's a theory, anyway...


It's probably just a coincidence that the shells are next to the bird. Nothing relevant to each other.

Can you change what is saved in the RAM? I want it so it actually saves the levelups, so there can be a fix in that infinite Starman trick.

Is it possible to make an accessory effect the monster? Like if you equip an item like a 'Scare Badge' or whatever, it would make the monster have a chance to run away from battle (like Bowser does on some enemies). Or another example, you equip some accessory that lets you hit Goombas harder (or a set monster). Could something like that be done? I would think you could just use the battle scripts...

I also have another question, can you change the stuff on the map screen, such as text, where text is displayed, picture on screen etc.? Could you not just make text display, but having pictures/icons go along with it? That would be sweet if that could be done. I don't want to replace tiny the letters already in game, because I want to use those too. I want to use completely different graphics.

Lastly, are you going to add a "What is this?" help command? I don't remember what it's called, it's the Windows point and click help (the curser with the question mark next to it). Is there going to be a feature like that? It'll be convenient instead of searching through the help contents, you'll get the help right then and there quickly.

Right... You can't trust everyone to test something out, pretty risky if you want it kept secret. All I can do is just throw in suggestions, but I doubt that is necessary if this program is going to open source. Still, they want it to the fullest and best it can be without having to check back for bugs and stuff.

The ability to drag and drop events in the script editor would be nice.

I would also like to see a new function with the stats editor. This would be a major, in-depth way to edit spells during battle. There could be a way to change what animation your character will use, and what sprite(s) will be created on screen during a battle. Maybe the ability to make them have a set position on screen. I always dreamed of something like this, and it would make the game way more interesting if it became that much more flexible.

Oh, and maybe a way to prioritize spells? Currently, say, if you start with Jump, Geno Boost, and Thunder, when you level up as Mario to get Fire Orb, it is in front of Jump, instead of right after Thunder... I don't think this would work, though, since it's hard coded (I think).

I have a problem I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm using the script editor to make battles, and I can't seem to make a new group of events without making it go into my previous group. Is there any way to make it so I can create a new group without interfering with my previous one?
