(but I don't want to take off my clothes, and I'm sure you don't want me to either.)
Yeah, my room was over 77F at 3 in the morning with my blinds open. God damn I hate living here. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Hey, at least you don't live in Michigan, which gets extreme heat and extreme cold.
My internal thermometer seems to be set about 10C colder than most people's. I will go outside in a T-shirt when it's 10C out, or a light jacket at 0C, and be perfectly comfortable (disregarding wind). And anything above like 22C is sweltering as far as I'm concerned. |

At about 27C (guesstimate; I'm better with F, which would be 80F) I begin breaking down.
At 100F, I cease functioning anywhere near normal. I work best around 60F, and will wear shorts and tshirt down to 40F (4.4C). And meh, I'd rather have both than only having extreme heat... Oh well. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Well, the heat isn't as extreme in Michigan, but it's still too much for me.
I'm better with F because I was raised with it, but I prefer the metric system as it makes infinitely more sense and isn't so...American. |

I juts grew up with the American system, so...
I like it better for some things. I know pretty much by heart that 100F is really fucking hot, but the equivalent temperature in C is what, 47? For most other stuff, though, yeah, the metric system is better. (HOnestly, which genius decided to have two types of ounces, each being an entirely different amount? ARRRGH.) ____________________ I dealt with it. |

I've always preferred the Metric system, because it's easier to use.
I prefer litres better than quarts, and kilograms better than pounds (pounds are British money, not weight/mass!) |

The schools around here use nothing but metric in math and science classes, and my parents (who are builders, although that isn't their job) use only American units, so I became comfortable with both systems from an early age. Metric is sooooo much better though. You don't have to multiply by 12 and then by 5280, just move the decimal point.
They should have done the euros with metric prefixes in my opinion...what is now the cent should have been the euro, then 1000 of them is a kiloeuro, 1 million is a megaeuro, etc. Best part: financial programs don't need floating point. |

Posted by Cirvante Hey, I can take cold. People have commented and called me crazy when I wear a light jacket in what they consider to be winter-coat weather. I do have trouble when the temperature with wind chill is under -10C or so. |

Posted by Cirvante Good for you. I don't have to put up with over 90F every day, so I'm not used to it. Thus, it's too hot for me. It's not the heat I don't like, it's the humidity. Every hot day here seems to have high humidity, which really sucks. If there's 0 humidity, any hot day feels like a dream. ![]() ____________________ ![]() |

The various lines represent the 3 thermometers in my room now...
The blue one always seems a bit "reluctant" to change (it'll say 60 when the others say 50, for exapmle) but... bleh. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Posted by Drag Drag speaks the truth. Virginia is either extremely cold and windy or extremely hot and humid... basically weather around here sucks... alot. Heat without humidity is nice (toss in generic light breeze too) but chances of getting this perfect weather in VA is very unlikely. The only reason I like humidity is because It's the normal sign of a big thunderstorm on the way. I'm a huge storm lover so it's a love-hate thing here. ____________________ |

84 degrees Fahrenheit is pleasantly warm. 40 degrees Fahrenheit is pleasantly nippy. Wind chill is bad though. |

My room has been hot and sweaty too, unfortunately. *wipes sweat off forehead* No fans, no air. and i'm not allowed to open a window (no screen door: cats get out which means kittens/lost cats/problems/fights(i'm getting my cat fixed, so don't worry)) ____________________ ._. + internet |

It's cooled down somewhat (my room is a lot less full of junk, so more air gets around), but it's going to get much hotter soon... the outdoor temperature is passing 85 already, and once it hits that, my room's internal temp tends to skyrocket.
Damned. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

It was close to the record high for today here...2003 was the Winter of Death in Michigan though, it stayed cold into the beginning of June! |
