You'd think from the name it would inform you of its possibilities.
RPG equipment almost never has anything to do with what its name suggests.

And on that topic. In our item system crossbows are better than bows.

In real life, crossbows are inferior to any well-designed proper bow, but in exchange any shmuck can use them.

Because if we banned people as fast as you or I might think of banning them, there'd be about six members left?

I, for one, am twice as annoyed by people complaining about the state of the board as I am by stupid internet humor.

As a matter of fact, I'll make a chart.

<- Go away you pretentious emo ragdoll
|- People who don't know who I am
|
|
|- Bad punctuation
|- People who act as if they're above the board
|
|- People who never know what the hell is going on
|- People who post without knowing what the hell is going on
|- People who complain for stupid reasons
|- People with average post lengths less than 25 words long
|
|- People who discriminate based on post count
|- People who complain too much
|- People who post posts longer than their writing skill can support
|- Stupid internet humor for the second time
|
|- PEOPLE WHO SHOUT ALL THE TIME AND GIVE ME HEADACHES
|
|- Stupid internet humor
|- People who don't read the whole thread
|
|- People
<- Tolerable stuff would be below this line. It consists mostly of women and otters.

Edit: I keep having to edit this to add stuff to it. I think that means I'm an old man now.

Is this the one that got completely butchered for the SNES version?

'cause I played the SNES version pretty much nonstop for a while.

No copyright law is even in remote danger of being violated right now, as nobody's distributing anything yet.

Later on, if for some reason they did get sued, they would only have to replace the graphics with cheap knockoffs and they'd be absolutely and utterly safe.

Wait, where did you find a use for item crashing with the key? O_o.

I always took the entire key section of the game as my punishment for breezing through all the hard enemies by being the grand master of the ax.

Like every sane person on the planet, I tend to use "anime smilies" instead of traditional smilies. This is because, like every sane person on the planet, I believe that heads should be right-side-up.

Yes, I do discriminate against the malformed and the sleepy. So?

Anyway. The important thing is...

Standard smilies can make two formations that I can't with anime smilies. Those are tongue sticking out ( or colon P) and laughing so hard your face gets scrunchy (XD or ecks dee)

So... somebody. Tell me how you do those.

I found a rather interesting online turn based strategy game. It's good, but suffers from an absolutely terrible name.

However, I still recommend you all play it.

http://weewar.com/

You need an email to sign up. I recommend using a real email address, not mailinator.

I'll challenge any of you to a round. So get registered.

EDIT:
It's basically advance wars.

Don't feel bad. The first time I tried it, it pretty much exactly described my ex.

Except for being a catgirl. Of course.

Lack of tutorial pissed me off too.

Invite me to a game (I'm SquashMonster) there and I'll show you the ropes. Pick a medium to small-sized map.

Sorta. You can play it that way if you really want.

If you're both on at the same time though, it'll auto-refresh itself and you can play at something resembling a reasonable pace.

And the ingame chat is being fucking stupid, so here's the minitutorial:

How to Stuff:
- To move: Click a unit, wait for the movement grid to show up, click a spot, wait for the confirm grid to show up, click the spot again. You'll know said grids when you see them.
- To attack with artillery: Click a unit, wait for the movement grid to show up, find an enemy unit with a red hexagon around them, click that spot. Wait for the confirm grid to show up and click the spot again.
- To attack with anything else: Move a unit next to an enemy, and click an enemy unit with a red hexagon around it instead of clicking yourself to confirm.
- To capture a base: Move any infantry onto a base the way I told you to move. Wait two turns. (You can kill infantry while it's capturing, which stops it)
- To move infantry onto a base without capture: Instead of confirming by hitting the hex again, hit "do nothing" in the top right corner.
- To build a unit: Click a base and pick a unit to build. Your economy is in the upper left.
- To repair a unit: Don't move a unit and hit the repair button in the upper left.
- To check things: Mouse over a unit to get its stats. That's attack power vs infantry, attack power vs vehicles, and defence power. Mouse over terrain to get its stats. You get the bonuses of the terrain you are standing on. That's attack power for infantry, attack power for vehicles, defence /for/ infantry, and defence /for/ vehicles. Check out the woods. A tank in the plains that attacks a tank in the woods will pwn it. An infantry in the plains that attacks an infantry in the woods will get pwned.

Unit Stuffs:
- Basic Infantry: Sucks, but nowhere near as much as you think it sucks. They're quite fast. Shockingly good against artillery.
- Heavy Infantry: Exactly the same as basic infantry, but slower and better against vehicles.
- Raider: Super fast. Good against infantry. Pwn against artillery (because they go fast enough to never be in range).
- Tank: Hardish to kill, fairly strong. Heavy infantry, artillery, and bigger tanks still will beat it.
- Heavy Tank: Very hard to kill, very strong. Their cost worth of heavy infantry will kill it, but that's hard to do. Heavy artillery is a better counter.
- Artillery: Cannot attack adjacent enemies. Can attack enemies 2 or 3 space away. Cannot move and attack. Does fairly good damage against whatever it hits. Dies if something hits it.
- Heavy Artillery: Cannot attack adjacent enemies or enemies 2 squares away. Can attack 3 or 4 squares away. Cannot move and attack. Does great damage against everything. Dies if something hits it.

I guess there's no 3 million either.

I thought this thread was going to be about tape, what a disappointment.
Forget tape. They make spray-mount! That stuff is awesome.

OoT being the first 3D Zelda was significant, and so the music from it is incredibly memorable, maybe moreso than any other Zelda game's music. So the fact that they'd brought it back for Brawl, is pretty much expected.
DAH, dah dadada DAH, dah dadada DUH duhduh duhduh duhduh duh duh-daa, dadadadaDAAAA! Dadadada DAN duh-dah...

(In other words, I disagree.)

Agreed. That's why I'm trying to get people to play from here.

We should use this thread to make matches. I'll play against anyone who invites me as long as I have an open game slot. My name on there is still SquashMonster. I recommend you all post your names so you can challenge eachother and whatnot.
