Not sure if right place (or even right website lol) to release these, but to be honest I'm not quite sure where even to share something like this, but here goes lol, maybe someone who knows something can do something with these.

I've got a lot of experience working with ID/Apogee's IMF music format via MIDI and IMFCreator for my Wolf3D mods, so I decided to give FamiStudio a spin to potentially assist in using NES/Famicom music in Wolf3D mods. I also found a program called GBSImport, which translates GBS music to Famitracker text files, so I was able to directly import those into famistudio, so for kicks I made NES versions of the soundtracks for SML 1 and 2. The project tempo/pattern info is a little weird and the timing is off so i couldn't set the loop points as they were in game (still learning famistudio), and some of the channels sound slightly different as I moved the bass channels to the triangle, but was still fun to make lol. Hopefully someone with some ASM skills or something can make use of these for their rom hacks or something, or at the very least they're fun to listen to lol

Included in each zip is a FamiStudio project file, an NSF file, and an NES rom exported from FamiStudio to preview some of the tracks in an emulator/on a flash cart

Nicely done.
These sorts of conversions always make me smile.

Oh wow, this is really cool... could imagine this being used on a ROM hack. Still sounds really cool with the tempo slowed on some tracks in all honesty, kinda like how sometimes PAL versions don't necessarily sound "bad", just "different".

tempted to do the same with Donkey Kong Land now...

That's really neat! I always find these sort of porting / conversion projects fascinating.
