I need help figuring out how to make the screen scroll up in 1-1. I'm using smb3 workshop and I can't figure it out. It will scroll up if I have p speed but I want it to scroll up whenever I reach the top of the screen |

Hello, Friendlyrock. Welcome to Board 2.
First off, there is a pinned General SMB3 Hacking Thread. If you have any additional questions for SMB3 in the future, please refrain from starting any additional new threads and post them in there instead. It sounds like the scrolling setting. In the original 1-1, the screen only moves up if you have a running start, as you've already mentioned. So, if you're editing the original 1-1 and not creating levels from scratch, you'll be stuck with the original settings. You can change these settings by modifying the level's header. To open the Level Header Editor, click the green H icon at the top (7th from the left, or the 1st in the 4th group of icons), open the Level menu and select Edit Header, or press the F3 key. Next, select the Miscellaneous tab. Under Misc 3, what you want to change is the "Scrolling type". In the original 1-1, the setting is "Horiz., scrolls up when flying". Change it to "Free scrolling", and then click OK. Remember to save your changes. Now, the screen should move along with Mario/Luigi. Please let me know if this helps. Best of luck. |
