well, i honestly do not know on that. I truly dont know. 4 of the 8 guy's are finished. Bolt, Duplex, Pyro, and Necro are all done including megaman's weapons.

The remaining 4 are not.
Glacier, Rapid, Disc, Spike. -- and none of megaman's weapons for those 4 guy's either. -- There are sprite sheets for them, which were made in 2007-2008 by mm-omega. But he was probably going to end up redoing them.

Because during that time, i was just in the state of becoming smarter with ASM programming more and more everyday, and there was no real Boltman level design/plans yet at that time (the very 1st level started)

Again i do not honestly know on that specific question. Assuming we ever get that far... in the future.

I can say with certainy though, that the next level in line once pyro was done... is Glacier Woman

IS Omega, like, your official character designer? If you need extra help or ideas for the last 4 RMs design, you could promote a Robot MAster design contest or something, like what previous Rockman installments did.

Robot Master design contests gave us AquaMan, though, so I don't think that would be a good idea...

Haven't seen robot master in the following elements yet.
Acid, meteorite, check here too: http://www.planetdeadly.com/nature/10-dangerous-chemical-elements

The way I see it in current original mega man, wily is making zero and is halfway done.
However from MM8 till now he has been getting into more dangerous resources to construct robots.

Not canon, but Comet Woman is the closest thing to a meteorite-based Robot Master you'll ever get.
Bonus points for being female AND having a relationship with her own brother JetMan (WINCEST).

With all due respect, how soon before the hacking starts?
Not to mention, it seems kind of ignorant that Quick's attempt to offer suggestions was straight up ignored.
Kickle Cubicle might be an obscure game, and might not be for everyone, but it would be a great game to hack.
People say there are way too many SMW hacks. Though there are a lot of Megaman hacks.

MegaEliteGamers: Hi there, buddy! Thanks for the support, and welcome to Board 2! It's been a while. How have you been?

Zynk: I was actually considering posting about my progress so far on the Romhacking.net forum, likely reviving my Balloon Fight (NES) Hacking topic as simply a main projects thread overall considering that no one really bothered to use it for Balloon Fight hacking help anyways, hoping that there might be more of a chance of finding potential people interested in collaborating. However, I just haven't had the time yet to put a post together with work, and I haven't been able to work on anything new for over a week.

For anyone who might still potentially be interested though, just to establish, for any levels that anyone comes up with, I can insert them into the ROM for them so that they don't have to worry about messing around in a hex editor, and since I'm building the levels from scratch, making use of all the cleared free space available for levels.

For the first time since I've been ROM hacking, I'm considering releasing demos of the hack as it's coming together, especially if it has the potential of becoming more of a community project that multiple people can contribute to.

Although, I can understand that Kickle Cubicle might not be well known by a lot of people, and being a different kind of puzzle game, I've seen reviews out there rating the game poorly. I suppose it might be more of an acquired taste, and given that I grew up with it at a young age, I guess my higher opinion of the game might have led me to believe that it might not be as difficult to find other fans of the game as it has been so far. Perhaps this was just the wrong place (and/or time) to start. Hopefully once I have more progress to share, I'll jump back over to Romhacking.net.

Hi Quick Curly. Yes it's been a while. I've been good. I try to keep up with things in the gaming community, but I've been busy like everyone else. If you're looking for partners for your hack hopefully you'll find some. I played Kickle Cubicle before and it's a fun game. Some new puzzling levels would be cool.

Thank you, my great friend. You're free to contribute any number of levels if you would like, too. The more levels that we can all come up with, the faster the new levels of the hack can come together. Plus, then individuals can be a part of a hack without having to commit to completing an entire project on their own.

Basically, this is the size of a level that one has to work with:

xx 00 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 A0 B0 C0 D0 E0 F0
00 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
10 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
20 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
30 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
40 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
50 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
60 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
70 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
80 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
90 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
A0 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
B0 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
C0 [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] [] --
D0 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Column F0 and row D0 cannot be walked on, but still need to be accounted for when it comes to water graphics.

I do still plan to make a Romhacking.net post once I have made more progress on my own, which at this stage is pretty much completing more new levels to play so that I might be able to potentially release a short demo of what's been done so far.

In my mind, I have a vision of potentially turning the Kickle Cubicle world into a Mario-themed world, and essentially, it would be a Mario puzzle game based on the Kickle Cubicle rules.

Some possible conversions/transformations (for some, I'm not sure if they would necessarily work):

Kickle -> Mario/Luigi
1-UP (Heart) -> 1-UP Mushroom
Red Cannon -> Piranha Plant
Dream Bag -> Power Star (?)
Rock -> X-Block (?)
Power Rock -> P-Switch
Ice Pop -> Coin or Cash Bag
Breaker -> Spikes (?)
Base Rock -> Pipe (?)
Kapan -> Koopa Troopa (?)
Wicked Wizard King -> Bowser (?)
Striker -> Angry Sun (?)
Sparky -> Bob-omb (?)
Myrtle -> Small Koopa Troopa (?)
Spiny -> Spark (?)

I haven't worked on my potential Wheel of Fortune hack since 2010, so I was pretty much leaning more towards working on a Kickle Cubicle level hack before trying that again.

Funny thing is, when I saw this original game and now I see this. ~Luigi Kun - Moai Kun hack~
It reminded me of your hack, not the same I know but it feels like it play wise and looks good.

I dunno when the hacking starts because we don't have a clear know what game we are doing, I'm just the bloke who suggested we should do one

Of course, what you say, we should hack something more obscure, perhaps. It does mean we'd have to develop tools and things but this could bring activity to the site - and there are lot of SMW/MM hacks around, but we have to reflect what the users think to do.

Also, where are we testing this? I'm referring to emulators - if we're doing a SNES hack I'd preferably test it in higan first and then Snes9x - basically, testing it on the one with most accuracy and then on the most popular one generally used.

Still, the score is 7-0 right now, but the only thing is no moderator has mentioned in this post, so it might not be considered official even if we do get it going.

Hi also - how did you find board2?

Are you referring to my Kickle Cubicle hack, or Megaman Odyssey? Either way, thank you for offering. Speaking of which, I've always been curious of any ROM hacking projects you've worked on before. Anything you would like to show and/or possibly work on again someday?
Posted by Googie

Thanks for the excitement and interest, Googie. The level in the images that I posted is actually a level in the original Kickle Cubicle game. Have you ever heard of and/or played Kickle Cubicle before? I believe that it's the kind of game that you would enjoy. If you would be interested, it would be awesome if you wanted to contribute a level or two to the hack from your own vision and design. I know that you're considerably busy, promoting your cartoons and having multiple ROM hacking projects of your own, but this would be the kind of project that hopefully wouldn't require a lot of time and effort from multiple people. All you would really have to do is draw out a level with the details of objects, enemies, Kickle's starting position, and the Dream Bag positions (3 of which you have to collect in order to complete the level), and then I could insert it into the ROM that I'm currently modifying myself. Then, I can hopefully release a short demo shortly for everyone to try. The level order so far won't be final, since I have ridiculously easy levels that belong closer to the beginning and hard levels that belong closer to the end. Even if this hack isn't the main Board 2 hack that people want to focus on (if one even ever gets decided on and comes about), it's still possible for any interested people to contribute however much or little as they might feel like.

I don't mean to seemingly keep repeating myself or annoying anyone by asking for contributions. For those who are familiar with my other hacks, I'm fully capable of making general and some specific edits completely by myself. I'm just offering an opportunity for anyone who would maybe like a taste of working on a ROM hack, but doesn't necessarily want to work on a full hack by themselves.

Even if Kickle Cubicle might not be a familiar or enjoyable game for you, and for whatever reason you don't feel like giving it a try to see if you would like to make new level designs for it, please feel free to throw out game names of something that you would be more interested in hacking, even if the game isn't commonly hacked and doesn't have game-specific tools for it. Balloon Fight and Kickle Cubicle don't have level editors (yet), but that didn't stop/isn't stopping me from making level hacks of the games, or documents providing information and guidance as to how to edit the levels without an editor.

For example, with the Balloon Fight Level Hacking document pack, you could make your very own Balloon Fight level hack like Cosmic Balloon Assault! In fact, Balloon Fight is an awesome and flexible game to hack, from my experience with it. There is available graphics space for hackers to be able to add custom graphics, and with a lot of documented data to refer to and work off from, it should be relatively easy for a group of hackers to collectively build something original from scratch in a relatively short amount of time. If a group of people each used the document pack to build a single level on their own, a Board 2 collaborative effort could produce the second Balloon Fight level hack relatively quickly, once all of the levels were inserted into a single ROM.

Just another possible idea, anyway.

You know what would be an ambitious collaboration hack?
Porting any of the 3 CDs of Final Fantasy 7 into the N64!

That could also be the perfect way to celebrate Cloud being playable in Smash 4.

I suggest we don't try it no way possible due to sizes.
Also it would be too much of a problem rewiring and reprogamming to make it work on the n64 system.

Well, it would be the first homebrew port of Board2.

Also, I think that N64 has got enough resources to at least make a slightly shorter Disc 1 possible.

The assets, at least, are definitely primitive enough for the N64 to handle.

You have yourself a deal, that will be your solo project only.
If you get this to work in project 64 without it glitching or freezing or crashing once during disc 1.
I'll give you 5 dollars in paypal, if you don't get it working and I'm quite sure it won't work...
