I was not able to report these minor bugs with the SMB2J / Lost Levels game from the SMAS NES hack months ago but I'm reporting them now since I recently have time. See these pics:

(says "Hurrah to Mario" but I beat the game as Luigi)

(says "Thank you Mario!" but I'm playing as Luigi)

these seem to happen when loading an existing save that already has "Luigi game" selected as the only option and the game was previously saved in world 8-4.

I know for sure the original SMB2J FDS game does not do this when I beat world 8-4 as Luigi, it should say "Hurrah to Luigi" & "Thank you Luigi!". But for SMB2J in SMAS-NES beating w8-4 as Luigi shows the dialog as seen in those pics

I wonder if this problem will ever get fixed

Oh, good find! I'll take care of that when I can. Yes, as EggplantPimp pointed out, hit me up on Twitter if any other debilitating/errors are found in my work. I've been doing Twitter since I get instant notifications on my phone.

New .ips uploaded.

3-24-20
-------
1: SMB1 & SMB2 JPN
;redid the lives counter so that when you have over 9 lives,
it displays your correct amount. However, once you pass 99
lives, (62-FF hex) it is hard coded to always say 99 lives.

2: SMB2 USA
;fixed error where the game does not reset the lives counter,
after a game over with a saved file.

3: SMBAS-INTRO
;fixed correct release year for SMBAS-NES, it was 2015.

Thank you, infidelity. In fact, this recent version finished convincing me that Super Mario All-Stars NES is my favorite SMB3 hack. Now I can see the life counter of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels SNES-style, it also makes Luigi earn credit for rescuing the Princess after completing world 8-4 in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, and makes that in all Mario games within this hack the player can save the progress. In my opinion, the 3-24-20 version of this hack is the final version. Thanks for this wonderful version.

Been a long time. I've been getting reports of errors with a couple things within All-Stars NES. Ontop of that, I'm going to redo the save file system, so that it is more like the original snes version. No eta on when this will start/finish, but it is something that I will get to work on, especially the errors.

For those that want more up to date info, check me out on twitter @infidelity_nes

Hello, infidelity. I have played Super Mario Bros. 3 on Super Mario All-Stars NES (emu_v3-24-20) on Nestopia UE 1.50, and I just spotted the glitch that makes water abnormal while platforms go down in world 3-3 (It also happens in worlds 3-8 and 4-2). Here I have two images as evidence:

I need a concrete solution for this problem.

This is due to the MMC5 irq, I wasn't able to fine tune it the way it is on an MMC3. That's as close as i could get it without looking awful.
