Just wanted to give an update. I've made a very significant modification to Super Mario Bros. I'll be more detailed when I release the new patch, I'm still waiting on confirmation for a debug result to come back to me, before I finalize the patch.

Here is the video of my latest touch up to Super Mario Bros.

Players Switch Off After Flagpole Is Passed
https://youtu.be/wegcV6EvZx0

@Stufid. I lost a lot of material from my old PC back in 2009, the thought has crossed my mind returning to this, but in a different form. The other issue is I know work 50+ hours a week, been doing so for a year now, so my time is even more severely limited. I do apologize to yourself and others who have been so passionate over MMU2. If I ever get another opportunity to work on it, believe me everyone here will know.

This is awesome! Now my kids can play the game and take turns without waiting for long periods of time for their turn. Genius! Thank you!

I had to make a new account because I dont know where to click to change my password due to there being a warning at the top right corner of this site that said:

~ Administrative advisory ~

We unfortunately had a potential security compromise due to stray database dumps. Please change your password.

So infidelity is there any other updates for the Super Mario All-Stars that you could please share with us?

I'm still waiting on another test result from my debug. Once I get the information I need on the debug hardware, I'll release the patch, it's out of my hands, all is up to my friend who tests my work on authentic hardware.

Awesome. Well I cant wait to see what all you have updated because the turn modification you made for Super Mario Bros 1 is amazing. Thank you man.

Also, could you please direct me to where I can reset my password for my original account? Because I cannot find where to do that.

Thanks for the new update! I just loaded the rom and I let the entire intro play and when it got to the koopa kids coming out it locks up and it says CPU Jam. I dont know why but thats what it said and did. The emulator I am using is Nestopia140bin.

Does nestopia recreate this at the same time all the time, or is hit or miss? Do you get the same result on other emulators?

It happens each and every time on Nestopia. When I tried it on fceux it did not have the intro problem. When I tried it on fceugz for the nintendo Wii it did not have the intro problem but Super Mario 1 and Super Mario 2 J work fine when Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario Bros 3 work but only the sprites of the characters work properly as everything else is either letter and numbers or whacked out different colors. That has only happened on the fceugx on the Nintendo Wii. The problems are only appearing on the fceux and fceugx emulators. I just hope it doesnt cause any problems when putting onto an NES cart.

If you are going to play my mmc5 games on the wii, wiiu, xbox, xbox360, ps3, then you need to use Nestopia builds, whether the stand alone ones, or the core version for RetroArch. Fceux doesn't play the mmc5 games that well.

I think I've ironed out the cpu jam. New build has been released just now, check main page.

I will try and see if I can run the Nestopia on my Wii but I honestly do not now if it will work. If you know the proper NES emulator for the Nintendo Wii please let me know.

Also, I read up what you were saying about the irq thing for Super Mario Bros 3. So if I have this put on an NES cart it will not look right on Super Mario Bros 3 in which you were talking about? I am asking because I am going to have someone put it on a cart for me with your latest update but I dont know if it will be good enough as it seems you stated so about Super Mario Bros 3.

Use RetroArch, and use the Nestopia core for nes games.

Mario 3 is playable, I just don't like the scanline fluctuating during every dpcm sample that is played. It deals with the irq tearing. (watch the boss select screen of mega man 3 for example of tearing)

The adjustment of the tearing produces 2 different results. My current ips, the irq is perfect on emulators, but not an actual mmc5 cart. Nothing I can do until I hear back from my friend.
