Touching up the title and menu screens while drawing tilesets (while discarding most of the graphics I drew...) Note that the MM10 Stage Select graphics is only a placeholder.

Loving the design!! :-D

Nothing much happened since my last post...

- A basic, but new title screen with the MM9-10 style Mega Man logo. Yet no change on Mega. But I still don't know if it should be (R) or TM... BTW, how to disable this picture of Mega, huh..?

I like it, but if you could give the pipes a black lining in between the blue.
It'll make it look more realistic that way.
Also did you change the font in game, looks good man.

Thanks to Kuja, the MM10 themed screens are now complete, and now the cursor on the stage select screen resembles the original. But the title screen is still not complete... Oh, and some fixed/elevated mugshots for GE, MA and SH.

I'm thinking about giving the "pipes" some "darkness" /MikeTechno/.
I should get ready to finish the remaining RM stages, and fix up the "finished" ones.

I love how Giant Snake works in the game... Uses 1A's structure data to clear the snake, animates the platform even if the snake enemy isn't there actually...

That screenshot looks like a came from a old konami contra game!
Looking mighty fine kids, zieldak pm if you would like me to test a whip of your demo.
I'd be more than happy to try it out.

Did you use the MM3 Improvement patch that puts the JP title screen on the EN version? Or you did it manually with Mega FLE X? If the latter, how to do that?

Thanks for the support guys. Thanatos, thanks for that title screen, but the CHR set lacks that many space. I think I really should expand the ROM, but I'm too inexperienced in both ASM and all, I don't think I will. :/ It was a miracle I could make that code for the Reloaded Boss Gauntlet with a bit of help. XD

@Zynk - Yes, I have used Kuja's patch, but I have imported the MM9-10 title screen with TLP, then arranged it with Mega FLE X's TSA editor. BTW, there is a version like that which puts in the JP title screen?
To do it, first import the tiles, enable Scene Screen Mode, go to Bank 13, get the tile editor, TSA editor (3th TSA set, the first one is for the stage select screen) and SBD editor. Then freely edit anything, except Mega on the title screen.

I see. But anyway, I have decided to give the Robot Masters a little polishing with a little extra of Megaman looking in 9 directions.

I will now resume on the Zelda Project. Have fun Zieldak!

Thank you, Thanatos.
I used your Title Screen for an example to make mine much better, and here is the result. Too bad, I only had 11x3 free CHR tiles (33+2), so I had to make a new text. Your text was 6 tiles bigger. :/

This is my suggestion, why not take thanastos mega man gfx from the title screen and replace the original with it ?
Long as coloring and details arent extensive that would be perfect to have as your title screen.

I meant I cannot use the CRIMSON text. I could use Mega over the original one.

Thats what I meant for you to do only, besides the crimson font you have is still good.
If down the road you wanted to do that ask infidelt for help on it I'm sure he might have some insight into doing it.

I guess Megaman in the titlescreen is in the "sprites bank" b/c he is not displayed in the Mega FLE X? My previous question was meant for that; how to insert Megaman on the titlescreen in US version?

you mean the one from the japanese version ?? i added that graphic to the megaman 3 improvement english patch. It had to be done with a little bit of ASM code.

it's interesting, even though it's there in the japanese mm3 originally, and not US mm3 ....the data for that graphic still exists in the english mm3, all it took was just like 1 single little LDA + JSR to load the graphic ...and then positioning the X and Y position of the whole thing

Possibly continuing the hack after a long break. My biggest problem is designing graphics right now (I'm not really good at it), lack of knownledge on ASM, Music.

This is looking really great, but don't tell me you're not good at doing graphics, everything I've seen from you so far whether it's NES or Gameboy, was absolute eye-candy.
Like I said a long time ago, I'm always available if there's some help needed with the music. (Though if I'm told to compose my own tracks, it's to be expected that they won't sound too Megaman-like)

I've learned how to program the NES, but hacking can sometimes prove to be of much greater difficulty, as you have to insert your own pieces of code into a working system.
(I believe there's a pointer table for all the enemy and boss AI, don't know where it is though)
There's a ton of junk data in the MM3 ROM, so it's not nearly as tedious to add stuff. If it's not like adding an entirely new game mechanic, you can probably get away with it without having to expand the PRG ROM to the 512kB limit of the MMC3.

You can listen to my hack music alpha .nsf (made with Famitracker)
Some of these are already in my hack.
