I've seen a lot of SMB 1 hack's where ppl change mario sprite's block's palette ect. I want to make my own can anyone make or point me in the direction of a great tutorial to do these things. I have YY-Me, YY-chr, ISD SmbUtil & Map programs |

Use YY-CHr load the rom in it under nes, you will see garbage in the rom.
That means its unviewable until you use the minus key or + key on your keyboard. Tap the + key 10 times, press the down arrow button until you see somethings like mario, a shell and other crap. It will take some time to find marios graphics once you do find it. Use a image sprite in bitmap format, open another yy-chr in nes format. Paste your sprite into it and see if it shows up fine. I recommend you use corel paint shop pro, ms paint and gimp when working with images. Since I don't have my main computer I may not be able to help out any further. |

Thanks Mike. I do have another ? is there a way to copy & paste an image from one graphic on top of another in YY. I wanted to take SMB 1 firework star off the flag and put a yoda sprite on it. |

I don't think so. You might have to make your own. Each tile on the NES hardware can only use 3-4 colors at a time. While green, Yoda is, he probably has a couple more colors (shadow, mostly) that'll cause a problem on said hardware. ____________________ Sorry for the stupidity. That jerk will be dealt with in the most insane way possible. |
