It depends. I personally think blackhole should ask the other admins to come check this place regularly if they can make the time for it, since activity seems to be picking up again as of late.
(also, I miss ninjablooper being part of the community) Would be nice to also see a few more staff members who can dedicate themselves to be part of managing the community. Maybe Googie and Stufid could help out? ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

Yeah we are drama/spam central and no active admin is there.
But as seeing, there is nobody who could be eligible for admin right now. I may take a look and suggest what to do, for example making bots unable to see the trash forum. Edit:i may apply for moderator, i have no resistence to see spam posts coming out every day. Yes, i have a bit of bad reputation, but at least i can take spam out there |

Good idea. I think the more visibility of the spam content, the more likely there will be more bots, or some other logic like this. Plus we don't want to put off guests by showing them amount of spam/junk content there is going on. |

Not with that attitude. If that's seriously how you feel, then why come back after 2.5 months since your last post to even bother posting? If you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all. Weren't you ever taught that? Stop spreading negativity into the world.
In terms of the board overall, quit making posts with no substance and referring to the other place that everyone likely already knows about anyway. This is your warning. Like some of your past posts, if any additional posts you make warrant deletion, they will be removed, as is the norm for online social communities. I left your recent posts in tact to grant you the opportunity for reasonable and meaningful discussion, just as you've always had. Don't abuse this consideration. Either be more productive with your posts here, or please go elsewhere like you keep talking about. You might think in your mind that you're doing the board some sort of good by giving it 2 posts in activity that it didn't have before you came back, but negativity never helps, and your posts really weren't anything at all. That, or your intentions truly are malicious against the board. Think about the things you say and do before you go through with them. |

I was searching through the ROM hacking forum for anything Fire Emblem 7 related. Found nothing.
but the point still stands. nothing will happen. Nothing did happen. at least there's rom hacking goodies here, but general and basically anything else is hopeless. I've at least changed my attitude to not dissing the entire thing :> |

To get the archive links, you have to replace "no-ip" with "kafuka". The "Grandbell" link appears to be dead. Google Searching appears to bring up some more recent, relevant results. All in all, it sounds like you didn't put much effort into trying, much like your recent posts; and just because Board 2 didn't have more information related to Fire Emblem 7 specifically doesn't mean anything. It seems to me that it's a more obscure game in terms of hacking, so what were you seriously expecting? If a game doesn't readily have a working editor and/or documented information on hacking it, then that simply means that you might have to be the individual who steps up to initiate it; instead of, you know, complaining about the existence of a board that's been around for a decade or its decline in activity over time, which is to be expected when old members end up having real life priorities that they have to deal with. "Nothing" is/can be subjective, and that's likely what you were going for, but "nothing" between the two of us obviously means two completely different things, influenced by our two different chosen perceptions on Board 2 and life in general. By all means, take 5 minutes of your time to more productively express your concerns in a thread actually requesting it, instead of essentially polluting the board everywhere else. Nearly a month ago, I posted a more directed form that anyone who even bothers could copy and paste to provide their personal views in a more organized manner in any sort of sincere hopes of providing new experiences to Board 2. Despite my best efforts, I'm only one person, and I don't currently have a means of changing anything to do with forum sections, the board's appearance, or anything else outside of moderating threads. If I could, I would consider attempting to revive the old Forum Games section simply to encourage more casual activity, which in turn could lead to more concrete engaging in a variety of other sections. I would also, based on common and mutual input, perhaps attempt to explore the results of "circulating special sections", which would rotate based on the amount of activity. For example, there have been people who have questioned multiple times over the years why there were never SMB3 and Mega Man specific hacking sections. It might be past the time for them, but creating them to provide the resource for potential newcomers and guests to see could always give them that additional incentive to come in. If something turns out to not be active, like the My Little Pony section way back when, it would get rotated out and we would try something else. This would be the consistent experimentation that more regular maintenance would provide, which sure, Board 2 has undoubtedly lacked for some time now. However, the difference between you and me is that I've actually been continuously trying over time, instead of just pointing it out over and over and over and over and over and over again without accomplishing anything other than being monotonous and repetitive. Honestly, why is it always up to people like me to satisfy people like you who only ever complain and want things a certain way, but rarely or simply never make the effort to make a positive change; and then when things don't work out regardless of valid attempts, you all blame us for trying at all? So, for anyone actually serious about bringing about a more positive change to the activity situation other than just for the sake of making noise and/or making themselves somehow feel good in their own mind by negatively emphasizing the lack of activity without accomplishing anything at all, which only displays for everyone else how much of an unaccomplished individual they must be, the only other hope is to leave  blackhole89 something more concrete for the next time that he logs in to actually give him a reason to put some more time and effort into changing things around here; because if there isn't anyone else already bothering to try, then there's no real reason to put in the time and effort, as spare time later in life becomes more limited, as you eventually one day may come to find out for yourself.Posted by xK_Despite what you may think, I do still remember one of your posts earlier on where you did provide some more sincere insight and ideas, and yes, based on how the board might appear, it doesn't seem easily achievable to encourage more consistent and frequent amounts of posting activity. To come full circle, I guess if you're currently interested in trying to hack Fire Emblem 7, hopefully you can find the information you're looking for. However, if it doesn't currently exist anywhere, and not just simply on Board 2, then you have to commit yourself to potentially lots of trial and error in testing out what certain changes do what, and be prepared to document things for yourself for your own purposes of testing and, hopefully eventually, successful modification. |

Relating to the topic about hacking FE7, I was moreso wondering if anyone else here had done anything with it, considering I've not seen much talk related to FE on these types of boards. I'd already found some tools I need to hack FE6/7/8, and I figured I'd put them on the uploader and make a thread about it to make it more known. edit: on second thought, I think the uploader is dead. |
